#18 Pho Tái Chín*- Eye of round & brisket Pho
Ariel S.

The place is super cute, and while the staff wasn't rude, they also weren't particularly warm or welcoming. Still, I enjoyed my visit. I wasn't a big fan of the spring rolls. I'm not sure if it was the peanut sauce or the roll itself, but I probably wouldn't order them again. The pho, however, was really good!

I gotta say, per the pictures of menus online, then coming here to find that within a year the prices gone up by $3, who pays $17-18 for pho? It's already pricey for $14 at the time of the pictures.... I can't imagine this business lasting with this type of pricing. On top of that you only get 2 spring rolls for $6.5 when usually it's 3-5 rolls for that price since the rolls aren't that big.

Oh my! This is a hidden Gem! I ordered the grilled pork Bun! Best I have ever had. So fresh! The meat was very tender, and so beautifully presented. Even a fried spring roll included. The atmosphere and decor were calming, lovely and unique. The owner was kind and friendly. Very, very clean! Definitely will be going back!!!

I am so happy that I tried this sweet little secret!!! Atmosphere is cozy. Food is comforting. I had the Leche martini and fried eggrolls to start off. So tasty! The Pho was beyond spectacular! Highly recommended

A T M O S P H E R E Nice little restaurant. It gives off a warm vibe due to their color scheme they have painted on the walls. The seating is very open and the booth/tables they have are comfortable and easy to access. S E R V I C E The two servers handled business well and quickly. For having a full house, they made sure everyone was attended to and had everything they needed. Very kind and polite! F O O D I had the Chicken Pho. The flavor and noodles tasted great. My chicken slices however had some fatty bits in them that I didn't really care for. I also got the Mango Boba tea which came out more like a smoothie. I didn't really care for the boba pieces that were sitting at the bottom (very gunky and gooey) and the smoothie that was supposed to be the tea tasted very chalky. I ended up only taking two drinks and didn't finish the rest.

One of the best Vietnamese restaurants I've ever been to. Food is delicious and nice ambiance. Will visit again next time I'm in the area.

What a hidden gem! Hubs was in the mood for pho and google maps sent us here. When we arrived we were wowed by the decor as it had some really nice charm and upscale with a cute date night. The food came out right away and was so flavorful. The service was great and gave great recommendations for drinks. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Pho Viet has a cozy yet modern feel with bright seating arranged comfortably in a small dining room. Service is friendly and staff seems proud of their product - and should. The food is great. I especially like that the Bahn Mi is served with a cup of their AMAZING broth. I found the summer rolls to be very good but I was not a fan of the consistency or flavor of the peanut sauce.

My wife and I had a meal here and were so wonderfully delighted and surprised. Don't let the stripmall exterior fool you, the interior is so nice, well designed, put together, and pleasant and the food and services are top rate. Couldn't believe the quality of the food and service that we got for the price!

My mom and I really like pho and I was just cruising through yelp to see if we had a pho spot close to us and lo and behold we found Pho Viet! This place is very good the meat is very clean but the broth is nothing short of amazing my mom is a Summer roll fan these are typically made with shrimp which we can't eat but luckily they offer a pork version it tasted very fresh however I have never been a fan of peanut sauce. The best apps in my opinion were the crispy pork rolls and the pork dumplings. This place is delicious and they serve alcohol. Can't wait to go back and try something new!

#7 Pho Duôi Bò - Oxtail Beef Pho*

My roommate brought me here to try pho after our campus dining hall tried and failed to replicate it to his taste and I'm so glad I came here!!! I got the oxtail/ brisket pho and a Thai tea and it was divine. My taste buds have finally ascended and I hope to come here again and again.

Delicious pho broth and I loved the Bahn Mi. Bread was soft rather than crunchy. 5 star service and the place was exceptionally clean.

I read about it on a Northern VA Foodie Facebook group and just happened to be staying in the area the next day, so I stopped in with a coworker who really loves Pho too. It's a small house in a neighborhood filled with similar sized houses, but it was easy to find, as it was the only 'house' on the street with a large parking lot, which was packed! I walked in and the inside was packed too, and that was around 1PM. But I was immediately greeted and he said he'd clean a table for us. We sat down and checked the menu and I was happy to see such a huge variety of so many Vietnamese delights, not just lots of Pho, but different styles of entrées and appetizers too. I tried their Phở Tái (thinly sliced, rare, beef eye round) and my coworker got Phở Ga (chicken Pho). We also started with their pork crispy spring roll and their summer roll. Both rolls were really tasty and made with fresh ingredients. The Pho we ordered was beautifully served and tasted great! The richness and depth of flavor in the Phở Tái was so nice. The accoutrement that came with the Pho was extremely fresh. Overall, this was a very nice experience. Food quality and flavor were spot on. Service was Very Friendly and Great! Just bring ca$h, because that's the only way you can pay there. But go, give 'em a try!

Interior is not huge, but adequate for today at least. The gentleman at the counter greeted us and was full of energy and enthusiasm. Food was ordered and delivered promptly. I have a good appetite, and a small size filled me up! I had a flank & brisket noodle soup, wife had the shrimp. Both broths were delicious, lightly seasoned and obviously simmered for a long time. Prices were very reasonable and we look forward to trying other options in the future!

I chose the Vietnamese sandwich. It was so tasty. Bread was toasted and crispy and the mix of chicken, pickled cucumbers and fresh herbs were great. My daughter ordered the bulgogi beef rice plate (with kimchi on side) and a strawberry lemonade with strawberry popping boba. She loved both. Food comes out fast. Overall excellent!

Very very nice lady (owner) and very helpful with the menu. - I had the chicken Pho ($16.50). I added the 2 included Hoisin sauce packets. It also came with a Sriracha sauce packet and a small container of chili oil along with the normal variety of noodles, sprouts, fresh herbs, green onions, white onions, jalapeño slices, and a lime wedge. The chicken was tender sliced white meat with no fat, gristle, or bones attached. The broth had a lot of flavor and was delicious. - I also had the shrimp and chive dumplings ($7.00). Not a strong shrimp flavor, but they had a nice crisp on the outside and were tasty. The sauce that comes with the dumplings is absolutely delicious. - My wife had the Bulgogi beef ($14.50). She said it was tender and very delicious. It came with rice, kimchi, and cucumber salad. I just happened to speak to Linh about the cucumber salad and she said this is how she's always made it for her kids and they love it. Well, I'm with her kids and love it too. She makes the vinaigrette herself and it has an unexpected sweetness to it instead of the usual strong vinegar flavor. We both loved it. - We had the pork gyoza ($7.00). This was cooked my favorite way, deep fried (not pan fried). This took me back to the gyoza in Japan and the Yaki Mandu I used to get in Korea. Great crispy wrapper with a tender flavorful filling. And again, the sauce that came with it is some of the best I've had. - The kimchi is not overly spicy and has a slight sweetness to it. - The Egg Tarts ($5.50) are good, not overly sweet. Could use a bit more filling for a better filling to pie crust ratio. - I also got a Chai tea bubble milk ($6.25) that was super delicious. Overall, we really enjoyed Nguyen's Kitchen and will go back with friends. It's unfortunate that it sits behind a Taco Bell and is not highly noticeable from the road, otherwise I might have tried it sooner.
