The restaurant was moved because a larger kitchen needed however we didn't know where. Now we found it. It's much larger and menu looks expanded. Nicky decorated and cozy. We were greeted by Trevor who sat us and waited on us as well. He was always available for any questions we had or service needed. We got a couple beers and ordered. I had shrimp pho and my wife had chicken pho. The taste was incredible ( I also enjoy a good pho ) and portions just right per size. We were attended to make sure our needs were met. Pawnee ( spelling ?? ) greeted us and thanked us for stopping in. She is the owner. She made us feel welcomed and special customer. Another couple of customers came in while we dined. We seen them get something from a cooler; so I asked what it was. Sticky rice with blueberries. I asked for one ( I've had sticky rice in Thailand before ) Trevor treated me to a serving. It was just like I remembered. Definitely will be back to dine again. If you're in Salida make it a point to stop in.

PROS: - The dishes are delicious. I've been here several…read moretimes and am working my way through the menu. Admittedly, I usually return to the Bun (Vietnamese Noodle Bowl) with tofu because I crave it every week. - The service is great and the employees are so friendly. Not sure what you want to try? Just ask and they'll help you narrow down to a final decision. - I purposely visit outside of peak meal hours, but my meal is always completed quickly and delivered to my table. - Great drink selection, from boba to soda and bottled beverages, a fountain soda area, and even water flavored with real orange slices. - Gorgeous view of Blodgett Peak and nearby mountains. If mountains aren't your deal, enjoy the photos of Falcon athlete alums inside the restaurant. CONS: - This has nothing to do with the restaurant but, since it is located on a military installation, you must enter through a designated gate and show a government-issued ID. Just make sure you don't forget your wallet at home before you leave. NOTE: - This business was previously a Burger King. Pho Wok is WAY better and worth the trip.

Conveniently located next to a department store, we were glad to find an all you can eat hot pot…read morebefore entering the greater Colorado Springs. The Hot Spot seems to be under Vietnamese ownership, judging from the big Karaoke setup in the middle of the room and the surround music being Vietnamese songs. I'm sure this place becomes lively when there is a party and people take to their singing skills. But on this regular Saturday afternoon, it was not even half filled. Customers have a choice of ordering regular Vietnamese fares or be seated at a hot pot table to enjoy cooking your own food. One nice thing about The Hot Spot is that we weren't limited to 90 min or 2 hours. Could be because it was during a slow time. Food wise it was far from an elaborate hot pot experience. The broths don't have distinctive flavors from one another and there lacks a sauce station! Which is a signature hot pot spot! The meats, when brought out, especially the beef slices, tend to be on the darker hue, to me that signals less fresh. And the booth seats aren't the most comfortable. I think they make shift to turn the booth tables into hot pot compatible where the outlets are in the way of your knees (if you're tall and have long legs) or if short like me, the seats feel sunken. All in all, it was still a fun experience for AYCE hot pot, especially when not under time pressure and the staff is friendly albeit not the fastest.

Americans might feel the place isn't as fancy as other Asian places but you can tell by how many students and families frequent this place that it is really good food with generous portions- a great price, worth every penny! Food: incredible! Best I've had in town and my kids love it! Best pho, best dishes period! Boba: amazing and generous for what you get. Hint: the mall closes! So if you park somewhere else, you could get stuck walking around the mall in the dark. Definitely park near the restaurant if you plan to eat there.

The ambience is very nice. It is open and bright and clean and Asian. They also had a case of desserts (like tiramisu) and ice cream. I've been going to Fairplay for years. I never stopped here because I didn't know what it would be like. Well let me tell you, the service could not have been better. Welcoming, efficient, readily able to make requested adjustments to dishes. There are many items on the menu to choose from. We had tofu and vegetables sesame chicken. Both were just so amazingly delicious. I actually find myself thinking of finding an excuse to go back to FairPlay so I can get such wonderful food again because in my area it's hard to find such good Asian food. I cannot recommend this place enough. It checked all of the boxes and then some. The only downside is there are no lunch specials but I felt like the food was worth every penny we paid.

No soft ice cream I felt like things were going to go downhill from there but, fortunately it didn't. Truth be told, we've been coming here since Covid so it's ok just a lot of negativity up front. Simple menu and decent service punctuate the odd cross section of ice cream, hard only and Asian fusion food. We were hungry campers so we took it all in stride...plenty of seating and quick service. We had the edamame, the crab Rangoon which is minus crab but seems to have Rangoon sauce and the fried gyoza which were yummy. There were five of us and their one cook churned it out in rapid fire order. Cashew chicken was 4 stars Thais chicken basil was 4 stars ChicKen pad Thai was 3 stars Onion chicken dish was 5 stars Sweet and Sour chicken was around 4 stars Strawberry ice cream was $4/scoop. But very tasty.
