Dropped in on a weekday night to find a bunch of people eating pho. It had been years since I ate here last and come to find the restaurant is under new ownership. Change is difficult. I was used to a level of quality in the service and food that just isn't there any more. Before the Thai basil, lime, and jalapeño were served on a plate, now a cold plastic bag. Before the owner would greet you with a smile, now the employees don't have the time of day to be personable. Spring rolls arrive and are really devoid of flavor, taste kind of stale. I remember the spring rolls being really fresh and well proportioned, not anymore. My pho arrives. I ordered the combination. Tripe isn't cut correctly, I find it in large chunks which makes it really chewy. All the beef is chewy, actually, mostly because it isn't sliced thin. The broth tastes alright, but it's nothing to write home about. Pho PCH used to be pretty amazing, now the food is barely edible. I left my bowl almost full, which didn't ever happen with pho, until now. Previous recent reviews seem fake, I don't know how anyone could think this is better than the original. The previous owners were incredibly good people, went to great lengths for their loyal customers. The pho broth was exceptional, spring rolls the best I've ever tasted. How it took so long for us to find this spot I don't know. But this spot after our first time here became our go to. This spot hands down has the best pho in the South Bay. The broth and quality of the meats, pho, spring rolls, Vietnamese coffee etc have all been great quality and super tasty. I've been to almost every pho spot you can think of in the South Bay, but this spot takes the cake. Calvin who is the chefs son is extremely kind and courteous and even remembered us the second time we came in. All of the recipes are family recipes and it shows in the food. We haven't tried everything yet but the items we have ordered here are all delicious. It's about time we found a pho spot who actually knows how to make a proper tasty broth. It's a small spot but worth it. They don't take shortcuts when it comes to preparing your food. We'll definitely continue to come back!!! read more

Tried this place out since its close to the pier.... If u want real viet... or better... stick with Bolsa area and go eat elsewhere. Small joint... like no more than maybe 15 max ppl. The egg rolls are good with the sweet n sour sauce. Their fish sauce is meh. I ordered the garlic noodles with Chicken. I would not recommend this dish at all. I mean, the chicken wasn't bad, but the garlic noodles didn't taste like it was stir fried (long enough)... it tasted more like boiled with oil and garlic. Needless to say I took it home to "doctor" it up to taste. Pho was a big thumbs down. read more

By far, the best Phò I have had. not just in the South Bay, but any other restaurant that has Phò that I have tried, and thats a lot! You get great service if you go dine in, but when you get it delivered, they pack everything so neat and stable in the bag, and its still a great presentation..even from the comfort of your home. It is okay, and made me want to go to saigon dish unfortunately they were closed. Picked up the pho special, Bahnmi with pork and garlic noodles. Pho was lacking in flavor, and it wasn't very filling. Garlic noodles tasted like someone threw noodles and soy sauce together which is super disappointing. The sand which was okay. Pho PCH has really turned the wrong corner over the past few years. Prices has raised significantly and the dishes have less ingredients and smaller portions. For example, the veggie pho used a wide variety of veggies: broccoli, carrots, green onions, celery, bok choi, and big thick pieces of tofu. Now, you get a few small pieces of broccoli, bok choi, and tofu. I know it's a business and the owner is trying to profit but it just seems way too significant of a change. Too bad. read more
