Located in waimalu plaza, lots of parking. Restaurant is very clean and you get prompt service. Broth for pho was very flavorful and hearty. I always get the special combination pho, that way I get a little bit of Everything. Served with fresh bean sprouts, herbs, and lime. Pho hit the spot on portion and broth flavor. House specialty tray is another favorite, as you can make your own roll, with thin rice lumpia. Restaurant has a bathroom on the outside and it was clean, a very big plus. Pho 97 One is a newly opened Vietnamese Restaurant in Kapolei, across Bank of Hawaii. It was formerly Young's Fish Market. Today, I placed a take out order at 3 p.m. for 2 pho and 1 bahn xeo. When I got there, I was told something went wrong with the bahn xeo crepe, so they had to redo it. I'm not sure how complex it is to make, but it must be pretty complicated because by the time I got it, it was 3:50. There were only 2 tables occupied, and one was ready to leave. I'm not sure how many chefs are in back, but my order took a while. By the time I got home to Ewa Beach, it was 4:10 p.m., 70 minutes after my initial call. But overall, the food was good, and prices reasonable. I did like the fact that I got a LOT of toppings, more than most Vietnamese restaurants. read more

Just purchased (2) Medium Rare LRG. Pho from Pho 97 One; with a side of extra veggies and another side of tofu. It was AMAZING! My husband and I actually having real pho was an AMAZING experience! We had take-out. Who wouldn't wanna order Pho especially coming down with a sickness and it was raining!? They had separated the broth, veggies and meat so we could do it ourself at home. We used to visit Pho 97 One in Waimalu and we finally ventured out to Kapolei and so glad we did! Vegetarian stir fry and Vermicelli w/ spring rolls & BBQ pork was so good! Iced coffee was different from before and really strong but still good! Owners are so nice and they remembered us from Waimalu! Their new restaurant is very nice and roomy! I chose this place bc it came up with good reviews on Uber Eats (I live down the street) and was right where my aunty and I were going holoholo for the day. Pho is good. My Aunty and I both got the first one on the menu (rare steak, brisket, tendon, tripe). Also the club soda with lemon and sugar is really refreshing though idk why it's $7.50, that's a bit high for something like that but we enjoyed it very much. Now the service. We came in around 11:15 am on a Tuesday so it wasn't too busy yet. There were 3 people working. A woman, a skinny man, and an average-sized man. The woman was very, very nice and she seated us. The skinny man then came to take our order and I asked for 2 more min to look at the menu bc we literally had just sat down and he was VERY IRRITATED WITH US AND RUDE! My aunty and I are always polite and friendly to service people and still tried to be nice anyway but then it got worse. He came back with our pho veggies and sauce dishes and the dishes dropped and rattled on the table bc of how he just tossed the items down on the table. He didn't say sorry or try to stop the rattling of the little dish spinning as it fell, just pushed it out of the way. So GRUMPY and why?! Aunty is cute and polite and always sweet to people and I worked in customer service my entire life and know to treat workers well. After that we both made it clear we were no longer going to be nice and I think someone else saw bc the grumpy man never returned to our table. Then the average-sized man came and was very pleasant. My aunty commented that he was nice like the woman. I value my time with my aunty as she is aging and I have lost many loved ones... I take her holoholo to make her happy and I don't appreciate someone potentially ruining her day! Service is very important. We have been coming here for at least 6 years and it never disappoints. Always hot pho and crispy tasty spring rolls. The workers already know us here and we pretty much always get the same. My wife gets number 23 (rare steak and brisket) and I get the combination (tripe, tendon, meatball, etc). Plus of course the great spring rolls. My family has tried the fish soup, pork chops, bbq chicken, and the other pho choices and they were all happy with what they chose. Plus it's byob, yeah I said byob. I was lucky to have had this restaurant in Aiea for a number of years. They had closed last year and recently opened in Kapolei. Of course I enjoy dining with them as their Pho is consistently good. I usually get the combination Pho or Bun and spring rolls. Their veges are always fresh!! It's brand new in Kapolei now and the place is nice and clean. Service is as it was before... always good!! My first choice for some good authentic pho noodle soup. We found this place during the pandemic and we love this place. This restaurant is spacious for bigger partys. The lady worker here is always so nice and welcoming and I'm guessing she's the owner but I could be wrong. She's so nice to our kids especially. She's very understanding when dinning in with little kids. When dining in we always order the same exact dishes. I always order the special combo pho with side on tendons and add all the veggies they give. My all time fav! And my wife orders the bbq short rib. And depending what my kids feel like eating they ask for spring rolls or summer rolls. We come here often and the most of the servers already knows our order. The best Vietnamese food!! They have everything from pho, vermicelli bowls, to bahn mi sandwiches! The hubby and I have ordered takeout from here a few times since Covid hit to get our Vietnamese fix. It's conveniently located in the Waimalu Shopping Center. I've found what we like from here and have stuck to it ever since! Here's what we get: 1. Cold Vermicelli ($12): These actually come in a square takeout container and it's overflowing with all the fixings! The cold noodles are at the bottom, covering pretty much the whole bottom of the container. Then, in the upper right there's a container of fish sauce and a pile of cucumber, mint, bean sprout, and pickled daikon & carrots. I always get spring rolls with it and the hubby get pork and spring rolls. I love how huge the spring rolls are and that they give 3 whole rolls! The hubby's pork is always flavorful and tender. This is definitely 2 meals worth of food for me! 2. Bahn Mi ($8): My parents told us they liked their sandwiches from here so, we decided to try it! We tried the sandwich with bbq chicken. It came wrapped in foil. The sandwich was a decent size and the roll was toasted on the outside but soft on the inside. The chicken was flavorful and the pickled daikon and carrots with the cilantro were perfect! Since the hubby and I haven't really dined in anywhere since the pandemic hit, we haven't been able to get our pho fix! This is my go-to spot for pho and Vietnamese Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup) in the aiea/pearlridge location. My family and I have been coming here for years! Their pho is good and full of ingredients. I like to come here for a nice bowl of pho whenever I am craving. I also really like their spicy beef noodle soup. They do a twist on their spicy beef noodle soup by giving only beef meats and ham and excluding out pig blood and pig feet that are included in the traditional soup recipe. I like their spicy beef noodle soup a lot this way since I don't like pig blood and pig feet. Besides the noodles, I also like their preserved lemonade drink. read more

We got a combo bowl and a rare steak & beef balls bowl. My boyfriend also got a Thai tea and the banana tapioca. When we got there to pick up, it was chaotic. They had a bunch of orders (which I'd take as a good sign because that meant a lot of people were ordering), but they failed to take any names or numbers down. So it was alot of scrambling to make sure that each customer was getting their correct order. The combo bowl only came with 2 beef balls and the tripe was cut up so small. Worst customer service. Placed a phone order, but when we called they didn't answer with "hi pho 97" or some type of greeting. They just go "hello?" Like I had to make sure we called the right place. While placing the order, seemed like a rush and they just hung up the phone when we weren't even done ordering. Food taste wasn't the best. Pho place conveniently near my home. Ample parking in the shopping center. It wasn't busy when we were there. I came here twice. First time I was here, tried their summer rolls and the second time the combination pho. Pricing was decent for what you get. The pho bowl had quite a good amount of beef. Some parts of the beef slices were touch to chew. Love the tendons. The soup tasted good. They give you a decent amount of bean sprouts and basil. No complaints about this place. I was satisfied and full after eating. Service was fine, once you ordered and get your food they leave you alone. I'll probably be back here quite often for the food. read more

I really like the bun bo hue and pho from Pho 97. We've had take out a few times during the pandemic and it was great each time. They separate out the broth from the noodles. For the rare beef pho, they also separate the beef slices and wrap it in foil so the blood doesn't leak all over. I feel their beef portion is also pretty generous compared to some other places that I've been. Pho 97 also sells sides of broth if you're a broth lover like me. I believe it's about $3-$4 for a container of extra broth. They are located in the Waimalu shopping center near City Mill and the shopping center has tons of free parking. For take out, it's easiest to call in your order then drive over to pick it up. read more

This spot may be my new favorite place to get pho! There are so many things I love about this place. First, the parking! It's located in Waimalu Plaza Shopping Center, so there's an abundance of parking stalls right in front. Our waiter was friendly and quick. We walked in and right away was welcomed and shown to a table. He was patient as we decided on what to order. He also made sure to fill our waters. We both ordered pho and it came out very quickly. I find the portion size to be very generous. They give a lot of noodles and meat, especially compared to other pho restaurants I've tried. The bean sprouts and basil were very fresh. I'm a sauce girly so I love to load my pho with all the sauces they provide including the chili oil, sriracha, and hoisin. YUM, so delicious! Another touch I like is that they have a bunch of chopsticks, spoons, and napkins on the table. It's great that you don't have to ask the waiter for those. When I picked up the take-out order, I noticed she wasn't wearing a face-mask. She was also the only one working and answering the phone. I didn't say anything although I was wearing a face-mask. The Basa fish was pretty good. Lemongrass chicken was just ok. Chicken Pho was not ok. Chicken didn't seem fresh so I trashed it. The green onions weren't fresh either. My friend ordered the Pho with Beef balls and I got the pho with rare steak and flank. We also got the summer rolls. Service was quick and we got our food right away. Everything was delicious The broth had good flavor and it was just the right temperature. The summer roll was also good too. Their peanut sauce for the roll also had good flavor. I asked for a sprite she bought me a coke and when I told her that I wanted a sprite and not a coke she shrugged me off ,water cups wasn't offered to be refilled then was told that I needed to pay for the refill . When asked for take out containers she then went on tell me to ask someone else then started removing items from my table that I was going to take home .
