Pho 78 is a local Vietnamese restaurant in Westminster off of Wadsworth in the Home Depot shopping center. True to the name, it's fair to say I can accurately rate it 7.8/10! I came in over the weekend during our biggest cold front of the year. Soothing pho broth needed to be injected into my veins! I've ordered takeout from here several times, but this was my first time dining in. Seat yourself and they'll come to your table to grab your order. Both gentleman on the floor were seasoned restaurant employees taking orders without writing anything down while chatting it up with their regulars. Love to see it! Rare steak and brisket pho is my most common pho order. They offer small, medium, and large bowls. For $13, the medium was a hefty portion size that filled me up. The noodle pull was elite, the meat tender, and most importantly, the broth was delicious. Above average pho for sure! I took some home for my wife and she also approved of hers. I ordered a banh mi (love that they're priced at $7.85). Although it was filled with generous pieces of pork, it was predominately carrot heavy, which just seemed very off to me. I'm usually a huge fan of pickled daikon, but this was more of raw shredded carrots that didn't elevate the sandwich, instead it took away from the overall flavor. Few misses include no napkins on the table, wet plates leading to wet tables, and not telling me to go up to the counter to cash out. Like I said earlier, the service was very good, but it seems like they really cater to their regulars here. I want to be in the know like the rest! Would (and will) return for some bomb pho. Great local spot if you are in Westminster and need a quick cozy meal. Service is always fast, never waiting long for food or your check at the end of the meal! We generally split appetizers and get a small bowl of pho each, the small is a rather large portion still. My favorite appetizers here are the pork egg rolls and the fire rocket shrimp! The fried wontons are also very good. The broth for the pho is very well seasoned, when you dine in you have ample access to hoisin sauce, sriracha, and hot chili oil. They provide a large portion of Thai basil, bean sprouts, limes, and jalapeños with a pho order. I have ordered delivery and to go in the past, I don't love pho as a take out meal, it just feels like a lot of work once you get home, but that's just me. For dine in service, I am always happy with this spot! read more

I was in the mood to try something different from my usual, so this popped up on Yelp! First off, the online menu needs a revision. My mouth started watering when I saw Mongolian Beef, but when I called to place my order, the informed me some items had been dropped off the menu. Struggling to find a back up plan, I went with the pork pho. I've never ordered pho for take out, so I was a little surprised to find a package of raw meat in with my food. And with drive time home, picking up other orders on the way, I wasn't sure if the broth would cook the meat all the way through. But I got it all cooked to my liking and dug in! Food was incredible! The sweetness of the Thai basil really gave it a delicious comfort food feeling. Spring rolls and sauce were generously portioned and really hit the spot! I think they must be struggling with staffing as well, as the order time took longer than expected. But totally worth the wait, I will definitely go back to try a few more items. read more

Lunch rush on a Friday brought me to Pho 78, and I'm glad I ventured in! Despite the rush, staff welcomed us warmly. There was some waiting time before seating and before ordering once seated, but kind service earns patience. Ambiance was nice, humble. Music was lots of throwback pop circa 2000s and quiet enough that you could hear the conversation of who you dine with. A craving for banh mi is what brought me here. The lunch special allowed for a slight discount combining it with boba milk tea, a dreamy combo in my opinion. The banh mi featured perfectly marinated pork and notably fresh veggies. Fresh jalapeños and cilantro were served on the side, allowing you to blend as desired. The bread was crispy but giving and malleable for varying bite sizes. A total package win. Jasmine milk tea with boba was extremely refreshing. Not overly sweet, which aligns with my preferences. Boba featured great taste, but the texture caused a bit too much adhesive between pearls, resulting in constant straw blockage. But it was still worth fighting for. Lastly, my date got the combination noodle bowl, and I ended up eating a fair bit of it. The meat was slightly overdone, which is certainly safer than undercooked chicken, but its toughness underwhelmed the otherwise excellent flavor. The shrimp though, was perfect. Vermicelli noodles soaked up the sauce very well and it satisfied the craving. If you're looking for quality Vietnamese food in Westminster, this is a safe addition I'm committing to memory. It's not quite the quality found further south in the Denver metro area, but it's still a delicious local spot that I'm sure to frequent from now on. read more

We stopped in for lunch today as we did a family eye exam at vision works nearby and the snow has us craving something hearty. While I love pho I always want a rice or noodle bowl because I love the grilled meats. We went in and there was ample seating; we were able to secure a good table that could accommodate our car seat. The server offered us a child seat right away which I appreciated however Hank is not old enough to fit in one yet so we could not partake, but I definitely appreciated the offer. Alfie got flank and brisket pho and they had an awesome lunch special for a small bowl (very decent size) and two Vietnamese Egg rolls. Talk about value. The meat was very good quality and the broth was really fantastic. It almost made me regret not ordering pho. Honestly very good broth! I got the Combo noodle bowl and asked if they could sub a few extra piece of egg roll instead of shrimp and as you can see from the photo they hooked it up! Good amount of meats and fresh veggies. All and all really really good. They also have milk tea which I ordered the lavender without thinking and then one sip in realized duh MILK tea (can't have dairy because of hank) so that was sad because it was really good, a nice lavender flavor. I think I can honestly say this is the best pho spot we have tried around town and we will probably be going here from here on out. read more

One of the better Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Ordered their pork banh mi, fried rice, fried dumplings, fried egg roll, Vietnamese ice coffee, and kids chicken pho. My 3 young children ate EVERYTHING and cleared their plates/bowls...and that never happens. My husband and I are from SoCal, and miss a solid place to get some awesome food. Oh, and if this even matters, they actually use the egg based wrapper for fried egg rolls, not fried rice wrappers. So many other restaurants around here use the rice wrapper and it's just not what I'm used to from Cali. read more

Pho-nominal first experience with a Pho restaurant! I wasn't sure what I wanted and have saw so many others enjoy a Pho dish from time to time. Service to be seated was quick, and as a matter of fact, service in general was quick. So with that i ordered what thought was safe start and that was the chicken with rice noodles Pho. Since i didn't want anything too heavy, i ordered a small bowl. It came out in less then ten minutes. I guess I shouldn't be surprised since they probably keep a batch of Pho ready to go. The taste was amazing, without any additional additives. But since they brought out the bean sprouts and fresh basil, I added them and some teriyaki sauce. This definitely added more flavor and crunch to the dish which I loved. All and all I loved my experience, the service, and pricing of the meal. If ever in the area, I'll be stopping back by Pho 78. But if not, I'll be trying another Pho restaurant in hopes of having a great experience like at Pho 78. read more

The chicken pho is so yummy! I ordered take away when I was sick so I cannot speak to the ambiance of the place. But I loved how they packaged the take away order- broth was separate and then the protein and all the veggies and extra sauces were in a separate container. This made it so I can eat it for multiple meals and it still tasted fresh, nothing got soggy. The food was flavorful, fresh and the portion was nice and large! Crummy experience - food was barely mediocre and gave my friend a swollen stomach. Tofu is fried in oil with meat, and you aren't given an option of fried or steamed when you order...so vegans/vegetarians BEWARE! There are shared condiments on the table that were dirty, I had to clean food and debris off them myself then decided against using them. Meatball pho is great. I had mines with veggie broth (much cleaner tasting) but my husband got the regular broth and enjoyed it. We also had the spring rolls which we were surprised by the size, it was much larger than most pho places. Lastly, the green Thai tea is worth a try! read more

First time trying Pho 78 and really enjoyed it. We ordered the chicken and brisket pho and pork egg rolls. We ordered takeout on a weekday and it was ~30 min to wait, so that worked out just fine. (They also packed all the soup mixings separately so we could assemble at home, which I prefer). I sipped some of the broth before add-ins and it was yummy! Flavorful all on its own (surprised me, I feel like it's usually more bland before adding sauces). After adding some savory and spicy sauce, the broth was even better (savory, salty, and with good kick). We enjoyed it and will be back! read more

Very yummy Pho. We order from here fairly often because we think it's the best Pho in the area. We really like the brisket because it's done so perfectly. The best thing on the menu is definitely the Pho or Bubble Tea. We have heard the service totally sucks but the portions are huge and it's the perfect take out option! Legit! This place has one of the best broth. Since the broth makes the pho then it is safe to say I'm a fan. I've decided to go simple and ordered their pho ga. Chicken for you innocents :) I always fall back to this most simple pho to decidedly taste the broth in its simplicity. They have the small, medium and large size. I went medium this time. Ordered take out after grocery shopping. I ordered and paid on my phone and it was ready less than 10 min later when I arrived. We both got pho. It was really tasty. My partner wasn't really a fan of pho he had other places in the past but he really liked it. He got the shrimp pho and he liked it so much he drank all the broth too. I got the tofu and veggie vegan pho. I like the spicy sauce and crispy tofu. They give you plenty of noodles but I would have liked a little more veg and tofu for a large order. We were regulars at the old restaurant where this is at now. The new owners cleared out the dinning room and more space and opened it up. We had what we would normally had because we didn't know this had changed ownerships. The combination bowl tasted great. The meat was tender and cooked very well. The entire bowl tasted great. We had pork spring rolls which were huge and also tasted well along with crab wontons which also tasted fantastic. Definitely got more than we could eat but tasted great when we got home. . My wife likes Thai tea and loved it and said it tasted great. We will continue to go here as we are impressed with the food and service we received. Don't pass this place up. Wow! Just wow! We stopped going to this Pho a few years ago. The food just wasn't very good. We decided to try it again and loved what we ordered. I love Pho 78 on 88th and Wadsworth! I have been ordering delivery via door dash for a couple of years now and the food is always yummy and hot! I recommend any of the pho and the fried rice is also great as well as their jasmine milk tea. Tonight's order also arrived with a very sweet hand written note thanking me for supporting their small business during the pandemic.
