Shout out to Becky Altman! She is the best PCP I've ever had. This place rocks: it's everything you…read morecould want in a PCP. My NP takes a lot of time to hear what's going on with me personally as well as lets me ask a ton of questions. Because of her care, she has figured out lurking issues and also collaboratively developed some really effective treatment plans with me. Also, Becky is knowledgeable about insurance (surprisingly rare for PCPs), which has helped my wallet a lot. The administrative staff and infrastructure are also really good and thoughtful. Mazzoni's online platform is great, and the team is highly responsive. I also love the way you get called into your check-up room once you're there. The buzzing disc system (like what restaurants use) helps protect people's privacy. Finally, the clinic is such an inclusive environment. I appreciate that they have their values hung on the wall of the center. The only things I wish Mazzoni had were more appointments (maybe on the weekend?) available and an answering service so you could call and make appointments outside of when staff are taking calls at the clinic. In short, everything about this place is caring and helpful. My PCP has gone above and beyond. P.S. they were great in helping me navigate insurance, too!

I've been waiting 6 weeks for them to do the paperwork needed for my prescription. I've called them…read morerepeatedly as has my insurance company. No one answers the phones or returns the calls. Was told they have a sample of the medication but still hasn't been given to me. I have an appointment here today and will never return there again nor do I recommend anyone else using them either. Apparently doing the job they get paid for takes too much effort. I finally got a sample of my prescription and they eventually did what was needed to get my medication. Decided to give them another chance since I've already started there-stupid on my part. The appointment went well and I thought the doctor did a great job, right eye done,Next appointment one week later. I rush to get there because I didn't want to be late. All is going well and I'm taken back fairly quickly. I'm sitting back there close to an hour when I ask if it was going to be much longer, I'm told that the patient before me is going to be a "minute" and there's someone after that, then me. So we're talking at least another hour after waiting almost an hour already? I give up and decide to leave. Stop at the desk to get my $40.00 co-pay back and was told that I couldn't get it back..Really? you did nothing. he tells me he will reschedule me and I tell him that is not an option as I will never be back. Finally get my co-pay back.. I should have stuck with my original thoughts on this place-they simply don't care about their patients, it's all about the money. They overbook, then you are made to wait. The doctors are pretty nice but most of the staff act as if you aren't standing there in front of them. No one answers the phone and good luck trying to get them to do the needed work for your prescriptions if you need one. Patient time isn't important to them-it's obvious it's all about the money, Run, don't walk to any other place!

I want to start this review by saying that the doctors here are just fine. I have no quarrel with…read morethem. EVERYONE ELSE who works here is so incompetent, I wonder if they have the IQ points necessary to put on a pair of pants. I have so many stories I could tell, but here is the most recent one: because of my garbage insurance, I have to renew my referral for allergy shots every 3 months. This used to be pretty routine, but lately every time I call, the referrals person makes up new and idiotic rules to make it as difficult as possible for me to get my shots. When I called this morning, I pressed "5" to be transferred to referrals. I very politely asked the person who answered the phone to renew my referral. She said I needed to make an appointment with my PC. I said, "Well, I've been doing this every 3 months for the past 3 years, and that has never been the case before." "You need to make an appointment to renew your referral." "Can you please explain why that is necessary when it never has been before?" "You need to make an appointment." "Can you please explain why you are the only person who has ever required this?" "You need to make an appointment." "So EVERYONE ELSE for 3 years has been doing this wrong except you?" Finally, this idiot reveals that SHE IS NOT THE REFERRALS PERSON. I was transferred to the appointments desk because there wasn't anyone at the referrals desk yet. So instead of saying, "I'm not the referrals person and I don't know how to do that job," she just made up her own rules and refused to explain. I HATE this place and I can't wait until I can change my insurance and never have to deal with a primary care doctor ever again.
