Karrie Young did a bad job for me as my public defender. I ended up with two conflicting no-contact…read moreorders involving me and my husband David E. Archer. The first one said it was a "non-expiring" "post-conviction" order, never to go away. So I was supposed to stay away from my husband for the rest of my life, but he wasn't going to divorce me even though He's the one who filed the order against me in the first place. The police weren't involved, he just wanted to make me go away. So, after a year with 2 misdemeanors for violation, Grays Harbor charged me with a felony. For being with my husband. Karrie was my 6th P.D. and none of them did their job right. She plea dealed a 1 yr probation, and a 5 yr order. Didn't mention the prior forever order, at all. I was a first time offender with no criminal history. I am now a lifetime felon who can't vote. I don't like guns, so that doesn't matter to me. And my husband still hasn't divorced me, but he's been "engaged" to another woman for the last 5 years. I haven't been in contact with him, and I don't know where he is. Does this happen a lot in Grays Harbor?

Jack Micheau was recommended by someone I work with, but my experience was awful!…read more He filed the incorrect motion in a custody case and then ran up the bill by encouraging the filing of useless letters on opposing party. The letters do nothing legally, but are very expensive to review, type and serve...he basically cost me over four grand for nothing, as when the case was finally heard, the motion he filed originally was something the judge could NOT rule on. Luckily, he felt sorry for me and allowed my new counsel to file the correct one and get a decision quickly, instead of having to start all over. Please avoid him and save yourself a lot of unnecessary heartache and expense. These type of cases are hard enough on folks and there are some excellent attorneys in Grays Harbor.
