There were a few persistent stains that didn't come out entirely but that was due to my neglecting the carpet for six years. Mike brought in two industrial sized drying fans to speed along the drying. Something I've never seen from the competitors. William (Bill) Swawell of Servicemaster was one of the few people who returned my calls and did me the service of coming out to inspect the space despite the miasma. He and his team did a great job processing large quantities of garbage and biohazard waste but were sensitive and careful enough to pick out all of the treasures (ie old family photos, important documents, even loose change) buried amongst it. He has stayed involved with clean up projects and helping me to manage a lot of work that still needs to happen at the house; it is essential to have someone I can trust doing this work since I am out of state and cannot directly supervise. Bill has earned my trust for the quality of his work and equally important his honesty; he refunded the unspent portion of our initial deposit down to the penny. I hope you don't need ServiceMaster...it's a disaster mitigation service and no one wants a disaster. But when (not if) disaster hits you will want a team like Bill and ServiceMaster DSI involved in putting your life, home, and/or business back in order.

The second property, the roof leaked within two years and when the ceiling fell in on the porch, they didn't want to replace it and blamed me for not notifying them sooner --like I could've known it was leaking up there. They also did not seal the windows or put the lightning rods back up or seceral of the things that were on the estimate. They did not tell me they weren't doing it. It just came on the final bill that it wasn't done and was removed from the charges. I would never use them again and I tell everyone that I can not to use them. When I complained they told me that they had hired subcontractors. that seems like a them problem, and they were always difficult to work with. When I replaced the porch ceiling, they told me that they would pay for a plywood ceiling. It was in 100 year old house and it was a hardwood ceiling. When I told them that they said they'd pay $400 toward the ceiling. They never gave any money for it. Horrible service, poor communication, poor quality work.

There website specifically states (hidden it the frequently asked questions):    "Generally our carpet cleaning technicians will be able to move small furniture for you - like chairs and coffee tables" I am very disappointed in what they did.  There before and after photos on their website clearly show that there was no furniture in the rooms leading me to believe that they would at least move the furniture to clean around it.  Their site should be clear in what they are providing when they quote cleaning a room.  They only did the areas you walk on.  I had to search their website for several minutes to find ANY description of what is and is not included. They called us after I sent the above to their corporate headquarters, but they only wanted to state they did a great job. They DID NOT. That is not customer satisfaction. I would never use them again.
