When you first walk in you'll be greeted by the receptionist who will book you in and seat you whilst you wait. You'll notice a shelf full of products which you can purchase. They sell a lot of the beauty products that they use to do some of the treatments so if you find something that you like it's definitely worth asking if they have them in stock and available to buy.

The stylist just asked me what I wanted and did it, well some of it (I asked for my layers to be cut back in and she didn't do it). I also found the stylist to be quite rude and abrupt, spending the whole appointment talking about getting drunk with her friends. I'm a quiet person and I find hairdressers that try and force conversation makes me uncomfortable. The cut was good, not quite what I asked for, but good. Salon itself is clean, tidy and modern. Staff mostly seemed friendly and tea/coffee is provided. They also do discounts for a new customers. I didn't really enjoy my experience here but the quality of the cut was good. Just not the salon for me.

I had a proper consultation with the new stylist before my hair was washed and she assured me that a thick(ish) 'Zooey Deschanel-style' fringe was possible. One was at Luke Antony in Selly Oak, and the other was in lovely lovely Kore in Kings Norton. It's a beautiful salon, and overlooks the green, so that won my vote before I'd taken about 2 steps inside the door. When I did, however, I was warmly welcomed, and surrounded by people with great haircuts. I knew I would do well here. And I did. I had Kevin - who everybody seems to love - and rightly so. Despite the fact that I normally like hairdressers to listen to what I think rather than just going off on their own merry accord, Kevin kind of took control - but all his suggestions were spot-on. I think I love him. I am planning on smuggling him out of there and installing him permanently in my house as my hair slave. It is pricey. It is not astronomical, but it is pricey. That said, I am yet to meet anything other than a very, very satisfied customer of this place - me included. They've not put a foot wrong, as far as I can tell. Keep up the great work, Kore!

A friend of mine recommended it to me as she goes regularly to get her roots dyed. The salon was really stylish, felt clean and it had a friendly vibe so it worked for me. There were a few products available to buy such as shampoo and conditioners but I didn't buy any as I get mine online. I haven't yet had my colour done here so I can't recommend that service, but for a quick trim and a cuppa this is a great place that isn't overly priced like a number of other city centre salons.
