I'm just leaving our session and I haven't stopped raving so I figured I'd write a review now. Rikke is amazing. Genuine and kind human who obviously loves animals - that's number one. My session was one LARGE black lab and a sassy but friendly Siamese cat. We were greeted with the friendliest smile and my dog loved her right away so that means she's good people. Rikke took time to explain all of the process and options BEFORE we even got into the session and encouraged questions. Then we got into the pictures - and man was it fun! She is very patient - more than even I am with my own dog - and resourceful in getting shots! I haven't even seen the pictures yet and I just know they're good. The studio itself is smaller which is as best for us since we had a cat who likes to hide, but even she came out of her shell thanks to Rikke! I seriously cannot wait to see all of her hard work! 10/10, recommend to a friend, going back again. Book. read more

I'm so happy I booked a session with Rikke for my two senior dogs. We did just in time as my little dog died shortly after. Rikke was super patient with Bob as he is blind and deaf and it was difficult to get him to pose. But Rikke got him to sit and pose and captured his personality (aka perpetually confused) my other dog, Fred is a 115lb mastiff and doesn't move so well. I really love how Rikke captured my dog Henry's expressions! That was the most important thing for me going in. He is naturally a little bit anxious, but she was great at making him feel comfortable and relaxed in the studio. I am extremely happy with the results. You could tell she spent a lot of time ensuring we were presented with a finished product that was worthy of printing - all 30+ photos we reviewed at the end. We had a good amount of time with Rikke to parse through the photos and select our favorite. We also had the option to purchase more options for an additional fee. There were many, many great shots!! Let me start by saying, Thank you Rikke I have 2 cats with very different personalities. A car ride alone becomes an a full adventure with them. Rikke gave is very clear instructions and created a very safe space for the babies and us (partner and I). She had treats and toys and suggestions to get the right shot. My puppy Aasha and I had the best experience during our photoshoot with Rikke! The whole experience, from scheduling to shoot to purchasing was so seamless. Her studio is clean, and I love the style of photos. At the time of photoshoot, Aasha was barely 4.5 months old and was very scared/nervous around new people. I didn't know what to expect, but Rikke was so patient, taking cues from me to make her super comfortable, and giving her treats, using toys, etc. She was so friendly and easy to talk to, so both Aasha & I quickly felt right at home. For much of the shoot we would even find my energetic, skittish pup in a calm settle! Rikke captured some of Aasha's most amazing qualities and I know I'm going to treasure these pictures for the rest of my life. I absolutely loved my experience with Rikke. I took my mini dachshund puppy, Tina, to get photos taken, and I think the results speak for themselves. Rikke did an incredible job capturing the pure and sweet essence of my little angel. She was so patient, too! With all the puppy energy and distractions, it was hard to get my dog to focus, but Rikke was able to work around it and capture a fabulous series of photos. She is completely upfront about everything to expect, and her pricing is very reasonable compared to what other studios offer. I also think the reflection/shadow method adds really cool dimensions to her minimalist photos. During my photo viewing session, she was very helpful in getting me to select the exact photos i wanted to purchase, showing me the tiny differences between each photo you may not have otherwise noticed. When I look at her photos, I don't see a scene, I see a huge grin, bright brown eyes, a big wet nose and little furry ears. I never thought dog photos could look so stunning & sophisticated. I never thought I'd be the person with professional photos of my dog, but here we are. I stumbled across Ph2grphy on instagram and scheduled a shoot for my 1 year old Lagotto, Dublin. Rikke was wonderful. She was so friendly and great with a rambunctious pup like Dublin. This was my first experience having a professional photographer take photos of our senior citizen cat and dog. Rikke was fabulous from start to finish and the final photos my wife and I selected exceeded expectations. Rikke is an excellent communicator, she was punctual to the minute for the in-home photo shoot, and she was wonderful with our pets. The biggest challenge we faced was selecting the final prints because all of them came out so well. Rikke is also very patient with the pets and their human family. The dog loved her and she was able to get the cat to sit still long enough to get some great shots (the cat doesn't like anybody). The best photos ever! Rikke is AMAZING! She came over and took photos of my very energetic 12 week old puppy. She also took photos of my moms 2 dogs during the same sessions. She's creative and was able to capture her personality so wonderfully. She somehow was able to get her to stay still for some great photos. She was incredibly patient and understanding and continues to find ways for my baby to pose differently. She brought treats for my puppy to jump up and keep her calm. She also brought other toys and that helped my very fast and impatient baby stay still and kept her distracted while Rikke took the pictures. She cares so much about making sure you love the pictures and she's willing to photoshop and edit. She comes on time and brings everything needed for the photoshoot. I highly recommend her she can say with full confidence that she's the best dog photographer. I loved how she brought example frames so I can physically see what I love most to order of my puppy.
