From the…read moremoment we stepped foot into the store we were met by the owner behind the counter with suspicion, rolling eyes and snippy comments. "Buy but don't touch" . Half of the store was blocked off . Terrible attitude, beyond unfriendly. The owner really should not be in the retail business. Especially not toys.

Yes, the owner is snippy, but the toy shop is glorious. On one visit I bought a wooden house for…read morewooden bears and their outfits. It is tucked away for my first grandchild. On another I bought wooden plates, small knives and forks, and wooden cans of soda pop with straws that went to my grandneice. On my last visit I bought a collector Kathe Kruse doll for myself. I have always managed to get into that room at the back (yes, the owner does limit entrance to it) by waiting until the shop is not full of people and asking so politely. When I'm not in Nurnberg I dream about this shop.

Good selection of modern European toys, games, and art supplies for kids. Friendly staff. My son…read morespent a good half hour browsing like he was a kid in a candy store. Near everything so if you want to buy toys on your way to a tourist destination this is it. Recommend.
