Our senior cat recently had dental surgery here with Dr. LaBang. Our local vet quoted such a high price that I looked elsewhere based on ND reviews and am glad that I decided to go with PetSmart. The entire staff was accommodating to our concerns and after-care procedures. read more

We absolutely love Dr. Labang and her entire team. We've brought our cats here, and most recently, my girlfriend had to bring in our dog for a burst abscess on her leg. Every single time, the staff goes above and beyond. They're honest, reassuring, and transparent about pricing--always fair and straightforward. Most importantly, they treat your pets with genuine care and compassion, as if they were their own. We're so grateful to have found a vet we can truly trust. read more

I like Dr Labang and all the staff there. It's closed to home and Petsmart store is right there so I can do shopping for food for my cat while waiting for for his visit. The only thing is that they charge too much for neuter. I checked around and found a few places, ie hospital that their doctors charge quite less than Petsmart Veterinary Services for neutering. For that reason, I give them a 4 star. Overall, I'm satisfied with their general services and Dr Labang took good care of my cat when he was sick. read more

Today, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put our beloved senior cat to sleep. Dr. Labang and her team were incredibly compassionate, patient, and supportive during one of the most difficult moments of our lives. They were able to get us in last minute and treated our cat--and us--with such gentleness and care. Dr. Labang walked us through every step of the process with so much empathy and made an incredibly painful experience feel just a little less heavy. We've brought our other cat to her as well, who is very shy and skittish, and Dr. Labang was amazing with her too--calm, respectful of her boundaries, and so kind. We feel truly lucky to have such a wonderful vet so close to home. Dr. Labang has earned our trust completely, and we'll continue to bring all of our pets to her. read more

Saying goodbye to my beloved dog--the first soul I truly loved...was the hardest thing I've ever done. In one of the most painful and vulnerable moments of my life, the team here became more than just veterinary professionals. They became my emotional anchor. From the moment I walked in, the staff treated my dog with such compassion and dignity. They never rushed us. They gave us the time, space, and comfort we needed to say goodbye. Every word they spoke, every small gesture--from the gentle way they touched my dog to the tissues handed without a word...was filled with empathy. Dr. Labang explained everything clearly, with so much kindness and patience. When the time came, she created an environment of peace and love, allowing my dog to pass with dignity, surrounded by comfort. She helped me hold onto a sense of calm amidst the grief. I'll never forget what they did for me. They didn't just care for my dog...they gave us the gift of a peaceful goodbye. If you're ever in need of a clinic that treats both pets and their people like family, this is the place. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. read more

Dr. Labang is truly an exceptional veterinarian. She treats my elderly dog, who has Cushing's disease, with such patience, kindness, and genuine care. It's clear she is deeply committed to providing the most evidence-based and up-to-date treatment possible for patients. She even goes out of her way to do additional research to make sure every recommendation is in my dog's best interest. Cushing's can be complicated and expensive to manage, but Dr. Labang always takes the time to explain options and considers my financial situation so the burden doesn't become overwhelming. I've never felt rushed or pressured. The entire team is friendly and responsive. If you're looking for a veterinarian who combines medical expertise with compassion and integrity, I can't recommend Dr. Labang and her team highly enough. She has made such a positive difference in my dog's quality of life in his later years. read more

I hear from everyone in Next Door she is a fantastic Vet.. very compassionate, caring and also reasonable

I recommend Dr. LaBang and her team to everybody I meet. The entire team is very intelligent, compassionate, accommodating, amongst a hundred other ways I could describe them. Our first appointment here was having to put our dog down after our normal vet "couldn't fit us into the schedule" when our senior was clearly ready to leave. Dr LaBang and her team were beyond nice on such a horrible day that I have since transferred over all our other pets to their services! read more

I have taken 2 of my dogs to see Dr. Ryan Labang for different issues. My chihuahua terrier was having stomach issues. After a blood test that showed nothing was wrong, She suggested starting with some over the counter medication then moving on to additional testing if the issue didn't resolve. My chihuahua is doing great, no additional tests were necessary. My other dog I had recently adopted had terrible breath and needed his teeth cleaned and 2 teeth potentially pulled. Dr. Labang said she would do X Rays to see if the teeth really needed to be removed. She only did a cleaning, decided the teeth were fine for now. She saved me $$$$. I had previously taken this dog to Monarch vet and was handed a quote for $2-4 thousand for a cleaning and a tooth extraction that they said it had to go. What I really appreciate about Dr. Labang is her methodical approach to solving the dogs issues a step at a time. Other vets I've had for my dogs in the past immediately jump to ordering expensive tests. I appreciate the fact that she and her staff will immediately tell you the exact cost of whatever needs to be done so there are no surprises. It's a refreshing change from going to other vets who just hand you a bill at the end of a visit and you want to scream cause the bill is so high. Dr. Labang and her staff are all very kind, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend you bring your pets here. read more

I can't say enough good things about the PetSmart Hospital team--especially Dr. Labang and Lorraine! Dr. Labang is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly cares deeply about every animal she sees. She takes the time to explain things, listens to concerns, and truly wants the best for your pet's health. And Lorraine at the front desk? She is hands-down the NICEST person I've ever met. She's always welcoming, patient, and somehow manages to get us in quickly even on busy days. It makes such a difference when the people caring for your pet are this kind and competent. Highly recommend! read more

Excellent care! Great docs reasonable prices. So happy I found them. They take good care of my little dog

Finding a good vet who loves animals more than their pockets is like winning the lottery. This place is like winning a $25 scratcher. The staff really is lovely and Dr. Labang undoubtedly enjoys her work. They are not here to get rich, which is refreshing in this industry. However, I was very conflicted by the care my dog received over the months she was a patient. First - there is no organization or follow up whatsoever. I had to do a lot of my own labor to get diagnostics scheduled and it would take weeks to have a conversation about the results. I never got aftercare instructions. The return calls and updates on my dog that they swore I'd get never, ever came. Minor frustrations in the grand scheme of things, and they were so kind I was able to look past it. However, my dog has a complex health issue and the severity was never communicated to me. I only learned that she was terminal after taking her to an internal medicine specialist (who was perplexed by the treatment plan I received here). I asked Dr. Labang about the procedure that would have given us that information and she said it was not necessary, and only something they would do as a last resort. Before I cut ties with this office, I obtained a copy of my dog's file and imagine how shocked I was to see that they suspected the exact issue in the notes of her file???? Not once was it ever mentioned, quite the opposite actually. I was told it wasn't a big deal at all, no need to worry. I trusted Dr. Labang, and did not freak out. After a few more episodes, the final straw was ending up back in the ER because they failed to give any pain meds for pancreatitis (This place got me seriously side-eyed by every doctor she's seen since). I requested my dog's file and never looked back. My dog was given a few weeks to a few months to live on January 3rd. It's May now, and she looks better than she has in a long time. Had she remained a patient here, I believe she would be dead already. I'd probably have no idea why, either. The entire experience has been so traumatic, and while this place is not to blame for my dogs health, they definitely did not make it easier for us. There is so much more to this story, so much that I considered filing a complaint with the Board, but it's just too upsetting to deal with at this point. I'd rather just let others know of my experience so they can make an informed decision. I don't think they are bad people or even necessarily bad at their job aside from the horrific communication and disorganization. That said, I would not trust to bring my pet here for anything that wasn't a routine, easy vet visit. Vaccines or an ear infection? Sure. The cost is right and they do their best to help anyone that comes in. For anything more complex? Just don't. And if you do, get a second opinion. But really, just don't. read more

Dr Labang is the by far the best veterinarian I have ever taken my fur baby, simply amazing. Four other vets saw her for urinary bladder stones which caused repeated urinary tract infections, bleeding and pain. Two of the four vets preformed surgery and removal of the stones which was a NIGHTMARE from start to finish. I have spent literally ALL of my savings on antibiotics, prescription ONLY foods, pain medication, special skin cleansers and a cone to replace the used and FILTHY one placed after the surgery. An appointment was scheduled with Dr Labang after the surgery as neither "vet" required a post surgical visit? She was patient, compassionate and cared for my dog with skill and explanations of those issues I did not understand. I will forever be grateful to have found Dr Labang.!!! read more

I know this may sound silly - But, I drove over an hour and half to get this location based on some of the reviews I read. I had a Guinea Pig that needed to euthanized (over 10 years old and could barely craw) and wanted the best for Piggy (Actual name). I couldn't be happier with the service we received, starting with person who checked us in and for the incredible care provided by Dr. Valji. Both were very compassionate and completely transparent about everything. WOW - I know Piggy's last moments were without pain and I even got to take him home and bury him under a tree. I HIGHLY recommend this location and Dr. Valji.... read more

It's been over a decade since we've stepped foot into a PetSmart or PetCo. I've never been a fan of these types of chains, however, this particular location (vet sector) is exceptional. The staff is super friendly and caring. I actually feel comfortable bringing my fur baby here. I called to make an appointment for my fur baby's needs and Renee (front desk person) was able to schedule me in right away. She explained all the costs and expectations upfront and was extremely patient with me over the phone. I cannot stress how imperative it is for businesses to have the best of the best customer service people up at the front desk. I have nothing but great things to say about Renee. She's absolutely amazing! I didn't get the chance to converse much with the other staff members but the few individuals I came into brief contact with seemed nice and professional as well. The reception area is rather small but since there were only two other people with their pets there during the time of our appointment, we didn't feel too cramped or stuffy. A couple more people and I think I would have preferred to stand outside. Don't get me wrong, this vet location is clean and well kept. I just personally do not like to be in a small room with too many people and pets as I am still allergic to certain types of animals. For example, I love cats and have always wanted one but sadly I am terribly allergic to them. So for now, I will adore and admire them through the screen or from afar. Thanks to Renee, the whole process from start to finish was a breeze for us. I would definitely use their services again. read more

Very good. Vet is friendly and nice to work with. Our 14 yr old dog had a teeth cleaning. Any procedure done at that age is worrisome. This cleaning and extractions went extremely well. Our dog came home a little groggy and whimpering from the pain, but pain killers worked. He was up and around the next day. I think most importantly, in an affluent area like San Clemente, Vets can be very expensive. Much more than in Tustin or El Toro. Petsmart gave the lowest estimate by far, in line with pricing in more middle income areas. read more

Dr. Ryan Labang and her staff are all friendly, professional and great at what they do. They take care of my 2 senior boyz and whatever the situation, Dr.Labang discusses the situation very clearly and at my level of understanding. She is thoughtful & thorough. Dr. Labang was treating my dog for a urinary track infection. My baby was bleeding every time she had to urinate. Dr Labang said she had done an ultrasound on my pet. When I took her to another vet, they called Dr. Labang for photos of the ultrasound. They did not have any pictures. The other vet that I took my pet to said that she needed emergency surgery for the bladder stones. Because it was an emergency it cost me thousands of dollars. If.Dr Labang had just taken an x-ray. We would've known what was wrong with my pet Previously, I had asked Dr Labang To clean my pets teeth. The doctors quote was $700. My pet Seven or eight teeth. Dr Labang Called me after my pet was under anesthesia and said that she needed some of the teeth pulled. I asked her how much would that be? She quoted me $2700. I felt like I had no choice. My pet was laying in the operating room under anesthesia. So by the time I paid for her teeth procedure and her bladder stone procedure it cost me approximately $10,000. I don't have this kind of money so I had to max out several credit cards. Dr Labang just cares about how much money she can charge you, and doesn't do a good job of caring for your pet. Please look at the x-ray of my poor pets bladder stones. There were over 20. read more

I can't believe it's taken me almost two years to write this review - I'm absolutely blown away by the amazing level of care provided to our dog and kitties. Dr. Labang is absolutely top notch. She clearly spends the time to actually consider symptoms and weigh out the best treatment options. She's honest, thoughtful and an excellent communicator. We've had bad luck with previous vets who've missed cues and/or misdiagnosed, and seem to be more concerned with a money grab rather than actually helping our pets (ex: our dog's previous vet suggested an expensive exploratory arm surgery to rule out an imbedded foxtail after we brought him in with red, inflamed feet and bad breath. Dr. Labang instead took dental xrays and discovered he had several teeth that were completely decayed. She removed the teeth, and his feet and breath are now in great shape). Renee, at the front desk, is also quite honestly one of the kindest, most friendly and helpful people I've had the pleasure of knowing. I've already sent several friends and family to see Dr. Labang, and they all agree there's nowhere better to take your pets. We discovered this office quite by accident (wouldn't normally think to use a Petsmart vet) and it's turned out to be one of the greatest blessings ever. read more
