Luckily no one was coming or going at the moment so was able to gather him up. Then found him soaking wet under his jaw from panting. While I'm talking to him to calm him down, the lady behind the window acted like I didn't know my own dog ‍‍ Got him home and he drank so much water he made himself sick Which tells me he had nothing to drink during his visit. Unfortunate for him and us as we are trying to find a dependable groomer. So the search goes on.

He was nervous and was not taking treats from anyone but Mom. Hopefully, he will adjust. When they took us to the exam room, the vet technician came in to ask why we were there. After giving our dog's history and our concerns, they reviewed the medical records we brought and made two extra recommendations. One was necessary as we were required to have it done. The vet came in and sat down on the floor at dog level with the boy. Unfortunately, he was staying away from everyone who wasn't Dad by that time. So, the exam began but Mom brought his "all time do anything for favorite" treats and he was calm for his nail trim. The vet was a pro handling the teeth and small growl before reminding of the pup cup allowed the vet to complete a physical exam too. I did research and looked before we came to Valdosta. I found two vet clinics and Azalea Animal Hospital had the better rating. I can see why. The Mom

Dr. Leah McNeil If…read morethere were a Hall of Fame for veterinarians, Dr. Leah McNeil would deserve a place at the very top. We cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care, dedication, and expertise she provided in saving our beloved Irish Setter, Seamus. After months of frustration, misdiagnoses, and heartbreak with other veterinarians, Dr. McNeil stepped in and performed nothing short of a miracle. For five long months, Seamus suffered from a range of life-threatening health issues that other vets either overlooked or failed to treat properly. Despite numerous visits to our Washington State his condition only worsened, and we were losing hope. That all changed when we drove 3,000 miles back to our Vet of 25 years in Georgia, Dr. McNeil's Lake Park office. From the moment our appointment with Dr. McNeil and her assistant Madison began it was clear that she was the true healer and gentle caring person we have loved over the decades with an unmatched level of skill, patience, and compassion. Unlike previous vets, Dr. McNeil took the time to listen, to ask the right questions, and to thoroughly examine every aspect of Seamus's health. Where others had missed crucial signs, she connected the dots. With a level of precision and determination that can only come from years of experience and a deep passion for animal care, she devised a comprehensive treatment plan that finally put Seamus on the road to recovery. Her medical knowledge is extraordinary, but what truly sets Dr. McNeil apart is her heart. She treated Seamus as if he were her own dog, showing endless patience and kindness throughout the process. She explained every step of the treatment in detail, ensuring we understood exactly what was happening and why. Every phone call, every update, and every reassurance was delivered with genuine care. Today, Seamus is not just surviving--he is thriving. His energy has returned, his personality has blossomed once again, and we have our happy, playful Irish Setter back, all thanks to Dr. McNeil. We have no doubt that she saved his life, and for that, we will be forever grateful. If you are looking for a veterinarian who is thorough, compassionate, and truly brilliant at what she does, look no further than Dr. Leah McNeil. She is, without question, the best in her field. Dr. McNeil, from the bottom of our hearts--thank you. You are a lifesaver in every sense of the word.

First off, we did not see Matthew Randolph as told over the phone. The female veterinarian who we…read moredid see was judgmental because our kitten was stressed out from riding in the carrier. What cat is not stressed out riding in a carrier? Anyways, turns out he was a little chunky, which she was angry about. She then said she was going to put together an estimate for the neuter of our kitten and then left. A tech walked in with the estimate for the procedure, and when I had questions it was the tech who answered them, not the veterinarian. I felt a little lost because they quoted 2 prices, one of which was $619 and the other was $756 for a basic neuter! They then told me I needed to schedule the surgery and basically shoved me out the door. I called around to other vet hospitals and they said the neuter would only cost $150 to $250 with everything included! Needless to say I canceled the neutering with this practice. I would not suggest going here, they are overpriced, to say the least, and did not make me feel welcome.

Our youngest cat ingested one of our prescription medications that had fallen on the floor, and…read morethankfully we noticed the signs as soon as he started acting differently. We called Valdosta Veterinary Associates (VVA) on the recommendation of our vet, and VVA asked us to bring him in right away. We arrived around 10:30 pm, rang the doorbell, paid the $500 deposit, and they took him back. Vet Poison Control is who they work with for toxicology, and VVA told us it was cheaper if we called and got a case number instead of them calling, so we did so ($89). Once VVA received the case number, all calls back and forth are included in the $89. We brought a list of our medicines, and both parties were able to determine what our kitty most likely ingested. While the determination was being made, Barnaby was examined. They took his blood pressure, examined his eyes, watched his gait, did blood work, and hooked him up to IV fluids and an EKG that stayed attached the entire time he was there. Once the pill was determined based on all of that, VVA gave him anti-nausea medicine, other meds to help counteract the effects, and an antibiotic. We picked him up the next night around 8:30 pm. Also during the first night, they gave us an estimate of costs after the likely medicine was determined, so take note that you need to be prepared to pay that additional estimate on top of the $500 (I did see a pamphlet about a credit company so that option is also available). We were refunded the difference the night we picked him up. We worked with Dr. Zachary Temples that first night. He is a young doctor who I believe grew up in Valdosta. He explained the whole process to us and kept us updated throughout. We were there for around 3 hr. All told, our cost was approximately $1,100. We have taken steps to prevent this from happening again and are ecstatic that our kitty survived. We are thankful that a 24-7 vet service is available in our small town!

Formal Complaint…read more This letter is to formally complain about the grooming service provided to our dog during our most recent visit. We had used this groomer before and previously received acceptable service, which is why we returned. Unfortunately, this visit was completely unacceptable and extremely upsetting to our entire family. My daughter provided a clear reference picture showing exactly how we wanted our dog groomed. The groomer completely ignored the instructions and cut our dog's hair far too short, using a razor in a manner that did not resemble the requested style in any way. We had spent months carefully growing our dog's coat back out, and that effort was destroyed in one visit. The quality of the haircut was poor, uneven, and unprofessional. In addition to the botched haircut, the groomer refused to trim our dog's nails, stating that he "could not do it" and telling my daughter that she would need to cut the nails herself. Nail trimming was part of the service we brought our dog in for, and refusing to perform it is unacceptable and unprofessional. This experience showed a lack of skill, care, and professionalism. Our dog was returned to us in a condition that was not only far from what was requested, but also embarrassing and distressing for our family. Because of this experience, we have completely lost confidence in this groomer and will never return. We believe this matter deserves serious attention so that other families do not experience the same level of disappointment and frustration.
