They usually always speak as soon as you walk in the store and there's always an associate on the floor asking if you're finding everything alright. I love their reward system and I usually get a free bag of dog food with my points. They also have donation options at checkout which means a lot to me- to be able to help another animal out. I'm new to town. My two dogs have gotten groomed for years without any issues. After calling ahead to double check everything was good to go and driving all the way to this salon, they noticed a mat on my dogs tail and refused him any kind of service at all. They wouldn't even trim his nails or give him a bath, because of this one mat. They would work on my other dog, who had his harness on. I asked her to clip her leash to his harness, but instead she wrapped it around his neck and started pulling on him. He clearly didn't like that, so at this point I called off the appointment and left. If I don't have a passion for helping needy pets that have small issues, then I must be in the business for the $$$ and not for the love of it. They motto is "anything for pets", but they refuse service. So it's exactly anything they would do, but I as the owner would do anything for my babies.... I wish them good fortune, but I don't think they even want to do better. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! The grooming department has to the worst I've ever been to! We told them how we wanted the cuts, and they couldn't get it right! Unbelievable! Awful customer service in the grooming section. Laura was rude and condescending and very disrespectful, I ended up walking out and will never go back. I had heard some disturbing things about this grooming salon but saw first hand how awful their customer service was. I would give them a 0 if I could. I buy all my pet supplies here, the staff is wonderful. The grooming salon has done an excellent jobs on my dogs. If you dog sheds then try the furminator. it reduced the hair she was loosing by more than half. read more

The Team Lead Nicole told me they couldn't groom my pup due to some matting of the fur on her ears. She advised me to go the the vet to have my pup vet shaved on the ears bc if they did it they could possibly cut a vein on her ears or by cutting the fur blood could pool. She proceeded to call another groomer over to look at my pup and she told me the same thing. I asked them a few questions like what did I need to tell the vet, etc. I asked could they just give her a bath, the Team Lead said no, I asked could they clip her nails, she said no. Not to mention she had called me 2 hours before my appointment asking me to come in early because a storm was coming in. I left the store, logged in my online account and cancelled my appointment since they could provide any services. Took my pup to the vet the same day as they stated I had to do. I tired logging into the system a few days later to schedule a grooming and I couldn't sign in. I typically use the salon in Benton so I called them to schedule a grooming, they told me another PetSmart and it set in the system that I couldn't schedule a grooming session. I assumed the Hot Springs location had done that to make sure I had her ear dematted. I called the Hot Springs store to learn that I was what the associate called red listed. The Team Lead Nicole had lied saying I had an attitude, was rude and she felt threatened. After speaking with a store manager, giving her the time I was in the location and requesting that she view the video of me in the store, 3 hours later the block was removed. I was able to take my pup to the Benton location that I normally use. The store manager was extremely helpful, but I will NEVER shop or book a grooming at this Hot Springs location. The Team Lead is not a honest person and shouldn't have her position. From the moment I walked in the door I felt like they didn't want to service me. I have contacted Corporate as well. After contacting corporate the store manager called me back January 13, 2022 to follow up and apologize because they were in the wrong. I was sent a $100 gift card, but the Hot Springs location won't get a dime of it back. read more

Worst experience I've ever had with a dog. Was told price was going to be $79, ended up being well over $100. Was told my dog was aggressive during the cut! Ha! That is apparently a $15 fee. My pup has been groomed at several locations and absolutely loves it. He enjoys a good bath and hair cut, but now he is all of a sudden aggressive? He is scared of his own shadow and a sweetheart. The girls working we're so rude and did a terrible job cutting his hair. Will never go back read more

I like to give ZERO star to them. A cashier taking to other co-worker when a customer are asking question during check out. (I was behind of the customer) I took three dogs to nail trim to there, they can handle only two at time, so I took one to parking lot for maybe 5 mins. They told me one of my dog bite a groomer (No bleeding), so I have to leave. They told me they could not do so they won't charge for the bite one, so I paid just one already done. I was so upset, because my dog never bite people. I went home and look at my dog's nails, they told me they could not do.... my dog are bleeding, they cut too short, they cut the quick. I think that's is why my dog bite a groomer. They told me my dog can't come back, but I don't go back anyway. They are horrible! read more

I have taken my dog to their grooming salon for 8 years and the last time they said he got aggressive with them and they could not finish, nor could they groom him again. He has been groomed for 8 years and this is the first time he has been aggressive with anyone. Maybe it was something you did!?!?!? I buy all of my dog food and pet supplies there as well as use the grooming salon for another dog that I have. You have lost my business for the long term. read more

The lady working the fish section was incredibly condescending when attempting to educate me on how to care for a goldfish. When I told her that I had a large enough tank and would upgrade if the fish got too big, she told me I should just buy a beta fish instead. After clearly saying i was wanted the goldfish, she still would not sell me a 16 cent goldfish. When i asked about the minnow, she said it would grow to an ENTIRE FOOT. yeah, ok. when my dad corrected her, she backtracked and said 4-6 inches. She continued to say the integrity of pet smart is maintained through making sure the fish has a great home. Fair enough. Only thing is Im not a negligent person and taking care of a fish is not rocket science. The irony within her behavior has me speechless--considering that each tank in the store was crowded with lots of fish (with dead ones as well). So basically she refused to sell on the basis that I need a big tank, yet the ones at pets smart are far from her standard. It's perfectly okay to be an animal activist but it's not okay when you treat customers like they are incompetent of taking care of a fish and interrogate them while not being an expert yourself (avg tank size for goldfish is a min of 20 gallons....she tried to say 75!!!) anyways, pets smart clearly needs to train their employees better. love animals, love the store, but be prepared to have a desire to commit certain crimes if you happen to interact with that employee. read more
