This PetSmart had fully stocked and organized shelves of merchandise. It sold many but not all of the name brands that my pets like, such as Fancy Feast wet cat food, Temptations treats, Tidy Cats litter, and bully sticks. Prices were average compared to other brick-and-mortar stores and slightly higher compared to online stores. A rewards program does offer some discounts. Absolutely disgusted in the way bettas were half dead in their cups with some in dirty water. I understand if there is maybe some dirty and it is water change day, but these fish look like they either don't test the water before changing or they just haven't been changed in the past week! Not only that, but the staff is very rude and there is one manager that shouldn't be a manager. I get people have different stories, but her attitude and hygiene are dreadful. Customer service in general should be coached too cause everyone runs away, get agitated or ignores me if I ever need help. When it comes to big box pet stores, they are almost the same. Honestly, I don't think this is a stretch in the least. It is almost the same set up. You got your sections for cats and dogs. The dog section takes up half of the store space. The cat section takes up about three fourths of the other half. So that leaves that tiny amount of space for other pets that include fish, reptiles, birds, and other small animals. Add to that an adoption center for cats, if they have them. However this store felt quiet like a library. I felt the need to talk in a whisper while in here. Although the store felt rather expansive it did not feel stocked. I have a thought in my head that all pet stores are feeling the struggle. Lots of items are missing from the shelves. I wanted to get a new collar for my cat in here, but could not find one I liked because there were not many to choose from. It was pointless to ask anyone if there was stock in the back, if that were the case it would have already been on the floor. I think I would rather prefer to stick to a smaller, non-box store when it comes to pets. Something local. read more

PetSmart is a big store. It's a nice place to shop... even for someone who doesn't like shopping! But my dog likes shopping so I have to endure. That being said, there are usually some familiar faces that make the, "Brick and Mortar" thing a pleasant experience. We appreciate these faces, they're employees. I hope management notices and appreciates these employees... because they are representatives of the company and makes the experience of shopping quite pleasant. read more

We came here to get our dogs check ups done. The new woman. Was pushy about getting my dogs vaccinated. Rabies vaccine is the only one they get. The reason why is my lab razor is 23 years old only rabies vaccine. Same with his sister Cher. My bull dog only rabies shot. 18. I have to new puppies and they were sick bc of the home I got them from. Tell me they have to have there vaccinations or they take them is 150% illegal. I bought about 100 large crickets on a Saturday and I fed my leopard gecko and bearded dragon and the next day I woke up to find them all dead laying in the bottom of the cage.. there was nothing on it blocking the air, and they had food and water but for some reason they just all died the next day I have no idea why but it was a huge waste of money. read more

Though I usually go to the Monroeville location, I was driving through Greensburg on Saturday on our way to dinner/drinks/St Patty Day/Birthday Celebration and needed to stop to buy my Chihuahua a new pair of puppy steps. My poor little girl got a bum knee and can't jump much anymore so it is imperative to have these steps at key locations throughout the house, i.e. couch/bed... SO in we go... First I want to say that the grooming services at the Monroeville location are really good. I have never had an issue with any of my Chih's. I can't say anything for Greensburg since I was just here to get some stairs...Just sending a shout out to Monroeville location. So onto the steps... Ugh they are so overpriced! The last set of stairs I bought I got on Groupon for about $20.00. Unfortunately, my step daughter decided to use these as a step stool and they cracked down the middle.... Blood boiled some... so I must replace these. The other set was purchased at Petsmart several years ago. I wanted to get a pair that was the same and I had seen cost around $25.00. No such luck. They had two to choose from. One all plastic solid piece, and the other one was a fold type and was wood. But the price tags were outrageous! I went with the solid plastic as they were cheaper...yea just shy of $50.00 cheap?? Well not really, but hell the other ones were over $65.00. That's the biggest problem with these stores, just too expensive. But I will continue to use their grooming services because I think they are reasonably priced and never had a bad incident. My dog and I were returning customers to the grooming salon today. They needed up to date information about his vaccinations. I got the paperwork from his vet last week. The paperwork from the vet had dates of his upcoming vaccinations. To make sure that it was the correct paperwork, I called the vet and she ensured me that this is the paperwork that they provide for all groomers, but to call if there was an issue. Petco denied grooming my dog, saying that the paperwork could have been made up, and not from his vet. They insisted on this even after I showed them the original email from the clinic. I can't call his vet because it is Sunday. We drove over from Pittsburgh to Greensburg for the appointment and now we'll drive back without him getting groomed. His hair is long and it is very hard to book a groomer right now. Furthermore, Petco called me 4-5 times beforehand about the appointment even though we were returning customers. I'm not sure why they are over communicating, but they failed to say that they need very specific paperwork from the vet, not just what the vet provides for all groomers. This could have been avoided. The manager was an employee who used to groom him regularly, and she kept wanting to argue and defend their decision and I had to keep telling her to let it go. His appointment was at 9am and we arrived at 9:05am and couldn't get in - I was knocking on the windows and calling the store (couldn't get through) but they finally let us in over ten minutes later. This was an enormous waste of time and inconvenience. Save yourself the trouble and direct your business elsewhere. read more

When I wrote my last review on a different location, I was fed up. But this is honestly just disgusting. I understand having a lack of food prepared, but we're creating an unsanitary environment here. THEY HAD THE UNCOOKED FOOD HANGING AROUND THE STORE. FOR SALE. Does anyone here realize how uncomfortable this is for customers? I went to order my tuna, and I received it in a fish tank, completely unprepared! All other food that was not a sandwich was made by a company called "Kibbles N' Bits", which I have never seen in a Subway before. I am only leaving three stars because as I love Petsmart as far as their selection of products, Great associates who are always willing to take time to help you find what you need as well as take time to listen to your silly pet story and good sales, I was recently very disappointed with their grooming associates. I recently booked a grooming appointment online and since I have a dog that has long hair and takes time to groom the appointment was scheduled for 8 AM until 11 AM. Due to my health issues I was running late for my appointment. I got to Petsmart at 8:20 AM. Went inside and there was two grooming associates each with a dog on their table. They asked what my dogs name was and I told them and said I had an 8 o'clock appointment. The associate who I had scheduled the appointment with because I had her previously, said that she did not have time because I was late. I told her I understand I was late but didn't think it was a problem because the appointment block was from 8 AM until 11 AM. She then said that she had two cats coming in. And I said that I thought I had those three hours booked. She then said well you had an 8 o'clock appointment. I said that since the time slot was booked until 11 I thought everything would be OK. The other associate spoke up and said well your appointment was for 8 AM. Not sure which one of them said this but they asked if I wanted to reschedule and I said no thank you and walked out. Yes I was 20 minutes late which is my fault. However I normally groom my dog and it takes me two hours and I do not have a grooming table and I am not a pro at it. So I thought being a few minutes late would not be a huge problem. I also thought it was very unprofessional of them to be so rude to me. I also thought that it was very unprofessional that they did not call me to inquire if I forgot or was there in the parking lot. They could have called me and said if you're not here in five minutes we will have to reschedule. I did not receive any phone call. And like I said when I got there my groomer had a dog up on the table already and two cats that were coming in. I feel they did not handle the situation the way a professional should have. They could have called at 8 o'clock and said if you're not here in five minutes we need to reschedule and at that time I could have turned around and went back home. It takes me approximately 25 minutes to get there. I did not call because I was driving and did not want to take the time and be even later. And I also thought if there was a problem they would have called me. This said, I will never use Petsmart grooming services again as I have two dogs and there are numerous other groomers who would appreciate my business. So I would have given the grooming department one star and Petsmart retail store four stars. read more

I would NEVER, I repeat NEVER take my dog here. I feel a groomer severely mistreated my dog. All they would say is that she's new and they would investigate it. Their customer service is garbage and the manager I dealt with was smug, uncaring, and RUDE!!!!! read more

Management is not only a disappointment but extremely dissatisfactory and unprofessional. PetSmart made Black Friday a horrible experience. I bought a fish tank on sale for $150 and of course it didn't fit in my car. So, I made two trips and came back for the stand. To my surprise someone switched it and the one I ended up with was COMPLETELY scratched and not even worthy of the discounted price. The manager had nothing more to say other than "I don't know what to tell you," and after lying bluntly to my face about the scratches being "washable" (not to mention it is fiberglass wood and will bubble/rot with water contact) she walked away. I am a frequent shopper at this particular PetSmart and I can honestly say they've lost my loyalty as a customer. read more
