Honestly, I'd probably give them just 1 star if it wasn't for the pleasant experience I had initially in-person. Long story short, my senior dog (just turned 10 years old) had been vomiting on and off for a few days and I eventually noticed a small amount of what looked like blood in her stool outside in our backyard. This was a Friday afternoon when I noticed the blood, so I panicked and called this vet as it is the closest to our home and I knew it would be difficult to get in anywhere before the weekend. Luckily enough, they had an opening for a 4:30 appt and we took it. As I mentioned, I had a great experience in person. The building has recently been renovated and everything was very clean and organized. We were brought back to a room immediately and didn't wait too long for the actual vet to come in and look at my dog. All seemed well physically, but we decided with her age and the symptoms that it'd be best to run a full senior panel just in case there was something internally going on with her organs. I was told I'd get the results the next morning (Saturday), via phone call. Well, Saturday came and went, never heard a thing. I find that odd to begin with as anytime I've been to any vet, they always call 24 hours later to check in. They are closed Sundays so I figured I'd get a call first thing Monday morning... nothing. My husband finally found an email with some info from the panel, but I still wanted to speak to the vet and hear from him so that he could go through everything with me because a lot of it is hard to understand. I finally grabbed my phone and called them Monday and asked about the results and why the vet hadn't called, and the front desk receptionist said that the results are in and I should receive a call later that day. I waited and waited, never got a call. I called back around 4:30 to be put on hold for almost 20 min, to then be told the vet had left for the day and that he could call me back the next day between 3-4pm. This other employee told me that my account had somehow been switched to "inactive" and that is the reason I never received a call. At this point, I almost lost it. What if there was something wrong with my dog that needed to be addressed? If I hadn't kept calling, they would've never reached back out! Needless to say, I won't be returning here again.

I can't say enough about the owner Kelly-- she is great to work with, has an excellent staff, and runs a great business. It is always clean and pleasant and MOST IMPORTANTLY-- I feel that my dog Daisy, with all her quirks and allergies is well taken care of. Her staff knows my dog and Daisy leaves happy after every stay. They have taken Daisy when she had a broken toe and enduring a bout with seasonal allergies (yes, she's a handful) and they are SO GOOD to her. They know Daisy likes to play non-stop and match her with dogs that are the same. There is plenty of play space which some places don't have adequate or appropriate play areas, but BL does and it is always clean! They know she likes water and indulges her play in the pool. They know her well, but, I see how the staff is with other pets and families and they treat everyone like they treat us! I book our weekends away with Kelly months in advance and she sends reminder emails before and a survey afterwards. I think I say the same thing every time: everything was great, can you please move closer to me? Bottom line: I have the peace of mind that my crazy pooch is safe, well, comfortable and happy.

I work as a therapist in the Atlanta area, which means I've developed a pretty solid sense for…read moretruth versus spin -- and this situation did not require much of a BS detector. I've also developed quite a bit of compassion for the human condition. Over time, I've come to believe that true compassion isn't just about extending empathy -- it also means speaking up and holding people accountable when harm is done. So, in light of that, here is my first negative review: We brought our maltipoo, Maximus, to Petsuites in Cumming for daycare since his regular place was closed. When my husband picked him up, he noticed Maximus's ears looked smaller and were wet, so he brushed it off. But once they dried, it was obvious: someone had badly and unevenly cut the hair off both ears. I called Petsuites right away. The managers had already left, but I spoke to two employees -- one of whom had been with Maximus outside -- who claimed that "a piece of matted hair the size of two fingers on his left ear fell off," and insisted "100% no one cut your dog's hair." I explained this didn't make sense (as the before-and-after photos clearly show), but they kept denying it. The next day, the manager, Kayla, called me. She said she reviewed video footage and saw another dog chewing on Maximus's ear, gnawing off some of the hair, supposedly explaining the missing hair. When I asked about the clearly trimmed and uneven appearance on both ears, she offered no explanation but maintained, "I am confident no one cut the hair off his ears." Pet parents deserve transparency. If they had called me from the beginning to report what happened and offered to fix it, that would have shown accountability. But instead, they tried to cover it up with a bad haircut, waited until we discovered the problem, and then denied it. That's extremely concerning. If they can hide something so obvious, it makes me wonder what else might be happening behind closed doors. Prior to posting this, I gave Petsuites Cumming a chance to fully own up to what happened, but that was days ago, and here we are. So, I'm leaving this review to warn others. Pet parents -- unless you want a bad haircut you never asked for (and questionable honesty on top of it), please consider taking your pets elsewhere. Petsuites, Cumming -- do better.

I'm not sure why PawSpa has so many questionable reviews, so allow me to give you the inside scoop…read moreas a Kennel Tech that was hired only a month ago. (warning: long and detailed)! - The expectations the staff holds for eachother is high, and it is all to ensure that your pet(s) are safe. After the first couple days of working I was sat down and was told about the concerns they had. I took the constructive criticism and not only ran with it, but I took it to heart. Everyone here has the same priority: the care and well-being of the dogs (and cats!). I appreciated the fact that the manager and kennel supervisor made sure I was doing the job the way it was supposed to be done, in order for the dogs to stay safe. - Our dogs are let out ATLEAST four times a day and they are given cold fresh water (with new bowls!) every single morning; water bowls are always kept full. Every single comment/specification/concern an owner has towards any single pet is written on the pet's "Kennel Card" that is placed in the front of the run. For example, if you only feed PM, we will too! If you separate your dogs for feeding time, so will we! We also take care of any medication your dog has, and accommodate any special needs. Any dog that decides to use the bathroom in their run is *immediately* put into a clean one, with water, until their original run is rinsed, foamed, scrubbed, rinsed, squeegeed and towel dried (in that order). They are then placed back inside with clean blankets while their personal items are washed! And yes, no matter how many dogs do this or how many times, we repeat the same process. Cleaning a run in this way is also done after *every* single dog comes and goes. If your dog was in this run for a week, it will be cleaned (even if it was cleaned 3 times already) after you pick him/her up so that the next dog to use the run is safe from any possible illnesses. All of the dogs and cats that come through our doors, are required to show proof of CURRENT and UP-TO-DATE vaccinations in order to keep your babies safe. - As for attitude, we treat everyone with kindness and smiles, and that includes your pets too! Up front is our reception area, where you can find "the littles" (if there are any) behind the counter; these are the small dogs that are either in daycare or boarding. Because of their size, they are only ever socialized with bigger dogs IF they are being under 100% supervision- so no little ones get overwhelmed or hurt. The two areas you see to the right of our computer are daycare play areas- both have outside access. On one of the reviews someone mentioned lack of supervision, but quite honestly we are always watching and listening. Even the slightest sound of unfriendly communication between the dogs is immediately attended to. If a dog relieves itself inside, someone will walk in there with the group [of dogs] to pick up and mop! Daycare dogs are also fence huggers when someone (such as myself) makes a pit-stop to give them some extra loving! ;) In short, every dog or cat that is with us is treated like they are our own. Honestly it would be super common to walk in and hear someone baby-talking your pooch! We want the four-legged family members to be happy, and you as well. Please come by for a visit and check out our place- we can even give you a tour if requested!

Upon sitting in the office we are explained we were misquoted and there was a vaccine she did not quote. As this changed the price significantly we asked for the original price to be honored. Ms. Shawn was rude and condescending, at no point she acknowledged her mistake but rather made up excuses and tried to make it sound like it was our fault because "there is no way she would know what the dog needed". When I repeated we said it over the phone several times she smiled and said "then I didn't hear you". She proceeded to offer to discount the vaccine but then the first time visit discount would be removed which would in fact increase the bill, another condescending response that did nothing but increase discomfort.
