This location of petsmart only cares about one thing, how much money they can get in their register. Customer service is non existent. God forbid your dog has an accident on their floor, let alone in the checkout line. I asked the associate if she could take care of the bm from my puppy. Now mind you I had not paid for my purchase yet. I then asked for paper towels to clean up the mess and was given a near empty roll. I had my dog leash in one hand and I was trying to pay for a purchase with the other. I asked the associate for help and she flat out refused. This establishment is the epitome of uncooperative, never in the 43 years of my life have I experienced customer service this atrocious. Staff refused to service my dog several times. I booked a grooming time, and was running a twinge late, due to traffic RIGHT around the corner. I called to let them know, and they said they could no longer do it. This was the last straw for me to write a review. A week or so prior to this, they also refused to do it. I got my dog his rabies shot, since they couldn't groom him without it. So I go in afterwards, then they say they can't do it because they're required to wait 48 hours after shots. Now please tell me how getting fur cut and getting shots correlate? They could of atleast said we would of had to wait 2 days before booking the appointment. I think the cancellations had been influenced by my dog's fur color; he is a very dark furred pomeranian. Even without prejudice towards my fluffy, it was still infuriating customer service. Never going to this Petsmart until again. read more

I had a bad experience with the Grooming Department today. My dog was scheduled for a 10:30 appointment for a bath and groom. We were there on time, and as usual, I was told it would be 3 or 4 hours and would get a phone call. After 4 hours and no call, I went to the store, only to learn that my dog had not even been groomed yet, and was told I would get a call when the dog was done! I went to the manager and explained my frustration. She went back to the Grooming Dept., then came back to me to say that my dog would be ready in 15 minutes and there would be no charge. I appreciated that, but I'm pretty sure that after going there for years, I've had enough. read more

I don't even know why I keep coming back here. I think it's the convenience. They are nice enough, close and it's so easy to book online. But the job is Amateur Hour at best. Very choppy with defined scissor lines. I know they do try but they're just not skilled. Their prices are the same as a skilled shop though. I will never take my dog here EVER again! The man clipping her nails, cut a nerve on all 4 paws. I stopped by to check on my dog and saw him drying the blood off her paws. When I entered the room to ask what was going on, the woman at the desk stood in between us to try and block my view. The man acted like it was normal. I told him it was totally unacceptable and he said it happens all the time. I told him if that happens all the time, then he shouldn't be clipping nails. I requested to speak to the manager who offered a 20% off discount and for me to call them if I see any infection. The flippant attitude of the man was outrageous. They first acted like it was no big deal and then they tried to blame the dog even though she was just sitting there. I called them out on all of their bs. The absolute worst place to get your pet groomed. Policies change daily. Rude.

Took both my dogs for a grooming. When we picked them up we got home and noticed one of our girls had dried blood on her ear and a pretty good cut. I'm sure they had to have noticed it there it was pretty significant. I just think that should have said something when we picked them up considering how much we paid. Will definitely be finding a new groomer. read more

Our Shih Tzus have gotten haircuts here for 2 years. They always look great and are happy after every visit. It is expensive but we've had zero issues with this grooming salon. read more

Last August, I had a private training session with a trainer and her dog Marvel. I was bit by her dog and knocked to the ground. This dog was greeting customers after I was bit. I never received an apology from the store. This dog should not have been allowed in the store if the trainer cannot control the dog. I paid for a private lesson and this dog should not have been in the training area. The lesson ended 10 minutes before the hour was up. My puppy had no training in this "private class." The trainer should go to training classes before training other dogs. I never received compensation for this and the manager lied about my complaint and called me a liar. The manager and CEO of the company did nothing to get my business back. I have gone elsewhere to purchase lessons. Do not take your dog to PetSmart. read more

I'm not sure why we purchased fish at Petsmart I knew better but $20 later we were on the way home with 4 female and 2 male guppies. They were properly acclimated for 1 hr before going into a 5 year established tank with very few fish fatalities in fact our fish survive much longer than they should. I left the light out on the tank for about 2 hours. When I turned it on they were all swimming around and I noticed babies already! Out of my 4 females 2 were pregnant and 1 gave birth. By the next day we were down to 5 fish. The next day 4 then over 2 weeks down to zero. So lesson learned Petsmart fish aren't properly segregated to prevent pregnancy and they all died within 2 weeks unfortunately we missed to refund window because I had to travel for the holidays. On day 13 we were down to 1 and she passed over night the day I left. The other two fish we had prior to adding the guppies are fine they are 5 year old Glofish. There was no evidence of fin nipping or fighting the fish were likely just sick. read more

This place has it all, everything you would need for your pets-foods, bedding, cages, toys. The employees are very helpful and polite. Very clean and the animals seem well taken care of. We asked to hold guinea pigs as we may get two, and the lady (forget her name) was very nice. The only not so good thing I can say, is that it was hard to see a few if the cats (up front). They were in tiny cages waiting to be adopted and then others in the back were in large, roomy ones. Not sure why, and just felt bad for the kitty's in the small cages, especially "Chloe" and "Baby Kitty." read more

The store itself is great, but the grooming service is a waste of money. There were 5-6 employees working in the grooming center, and most were just standing around talking. That's fine, I left my chocolate lab with them to get washed and paid extra for the extra combing/brushing to get all the freshly dried hair out. When we got her back she was shedding like crazy, it was clear the did not spend any time brushing her post-wash. Will not be going back ever. read more

Always an awesome place to find just what you need for creatures large and small. 5/5 stars for Jen (pet trainer) who really takes the time to work with families and their pets! We are very thankful for the knowledgable professional and kind grooming staff. Over all 4/5 just because some items are quite pricey but a great establishment with amazing staff. This is a smaller petsmart and it does not have a vet or pets hotel. They do wonderful things for kids and homeless pets in the community!!! read more

PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST -- we are very unhappy with the haircut our male golden retriever received today, the front of his chest looked horribly choppy as if a child had given him a haircut! His nail was also nicked during his nail trimming and when he came out to us he was bleeding leaving blood everywhere out front. I used to work part time in a vet clinic and I know how painful it can be for dogs when their nails are clipped too far. I watched the women clean it up and she did not use ANY disinfect cleaners while cleaning, which is extremely concerning because I'm sure that's happened before so who knows what type of bacteria my dog was exposed to that was left behind from other dogs, so disgusting and unsanitary! All she used was a towel. Just when you think it can't get worse... We went up front to pay and when I was handing the money to the cashier I saw several spots of dried blood on her hand, also extremely disgusting and concerning? I will not be returning to this location ever again. I should've known not to go when I called and they had sooo many open appointments, where as the location on the Carlisle Pike didn't have an openings for several days.... please do yourself a favor and save your $$ and protect your pup, find another location or grooming facility!!! read more
