One of the nicer, cleaner, brighter service stations of my acquaintance. If you are starting a long drive to Dublin, say, in the early morning it's a good one to fuel up both with diesel for the car and a coffee and croissant for yourself.
There's quite a good grocery section, along with car supplies, cleaning materials, newspapers, magazines, ice cream cones, and, handy if you have an open fire, kindling.
The diesel isn't the very cheapest, it's average. One downside is pulling out on that horrilbly busy A1 carriageway. Likewise it's easy to miss sometimes as the road is fast, but on the whole I'd rather stop here before hitting the road than other places further on down, probably because of the croissants. read more
