It is worth mentioning that it is one attendant in particular who is super helpful and friendly, the others are mostly friendly still but not as helpful and occasionally there is a not-so-nice one but they usually don't last long (i.e. they get fired or leave). Gas prices are minimum 5 cents cheaper per L here than they are in the cities and suburbs. It's my own way of protesting the ridiculous gas prices by gassing up here.

I live two minutes from here and although the gas may be 1-2 cents more expensive here than elsewhere, I won't fill up anywhere else. I got into my first car accident last year and they gave me great advice and calmed me down in a way that goes beyond their job as a gas station/garage employee. They are super friendly and offer a lot of flexibility for tire changes. I'll admit, I don't know the first thing about cars. They took the time to explain things to me in a way that I could (kinda) undestand. Great family-owned place.

We came as a side trip while sightseeing in Montreal, it was a bit far out with using only public transportation. So I would recommend only coming if you have an extra 3 hours or so. Since we still have to visit Toronto on our trip, it did made me sad I cannot bring home the cured cheese, Schwartz's Smoked Meat, or the Fairmount bagels. We did got to taste the poutine and the cheese pizza at the food court. Something with the crust and the cheese but the slice definitely tastes better than the ones in LA!

Similar selection, a lot of the Kirkland brands stuff gets imported and they also stock some Canadian brands in bulk as well. Goods are a bit more expensive in Canada overall, and taxes are higher than down south, so it's nice to have Costco as an option to spend a little less. Also, the gas is the cheapest in Montreal.

Previously, I used to go to Petro Canada but I started going to Esso once my switched credit cards and my current credit card was affiliated with Esso (and as such provided a slight discount). This Esso is like any gas station so not much I can say about it. My car seems to prefer Esso fuel over Petro Canada fuel since for some reason when I switched to Esso, the check engine light which was "permanently" on in my car turned off and then when I refueled with Petro Canada, it turned on again (only to switch off when I went back to Esso). I did have the check engine light looked at and my mechanic told me of what the code was referencing but he mentioned it wouldn't be an easy and quick fix and would clear/reset the check engine light code so the light went off. I took my car to the dealership and they also told me that they would have to narrow down the problem by fixing/replacing component by component to see what was causing it and it wasn't really worthwhile doing this. They informed me that it wasn't a serious issue. Since switching to Esso fuel (or at least the Esso here), my check engine light hasn't turned back on in over 2 years whereas previously when filling up at Petro Canada, it would turn on "permanently" an after resetting it, it would turn on again within a few days/weeks.

This Shell is very close to the highway and not hard to find and very close to the hotel I stayed at in Boucherville.
