This is an amazing gift shop and I'd be amazed if you came out of here without buying something!…read moreIt's really huge and stuffed, everywhere you look, with souvenirs and gifts for all the family. Everything is tastefully laid out and very eye-catching and really you need a lot of time to look round properly. There's a great range of Welsh-themed gifts; toys for children of all ages, plastic things for the seaside - colourful beachballs, buckets and spades and more; hats, model cars and lovely framed pictures. I also noticed that they sell 'golliwogs' of many kinds (toys large and small) which you don't see much anymore. Something for every budget, from picture postcards and keyrings to excellent quality china ornaments. The lady who was working in there when I went in to browse three days ago was delightful - very helpful and friendly. Probably the only gift shop you need to visit when in Tenby - altogether, an easy 5 star!

Where does one start? Well I spotted Welsh costumes for children/ladies, Welsh dolls, Welsh confectionery, Welsh cards, Welsh books and a whole raft of Welsh novelty goods. I particularly liked the Welsh stencils which can be used if you're adept at face painting on International days!!. The shop also had a good seleciton of Welsh translations of childrens' books I spotted a Welsh horrid history and a Welsh version of Artemis Fowl. There was also a range of books for Welsh learners as well as some general books about famous Welsh characters and some books about the history of Wales. The shop also has a web site of the same name which has an even larger range of products. The owner told me they have customers from all over the world seeking to have a little piece of Wales wherever they may be!

They have a nice selection of gifts for the home, childrens, mens and womens clothing. They have a small selection of shoes which, unfortunately, do not come in a size 3?! If you telephone the store they are happy to put items to one side for you to collect the next day. If requested the staff will gift wrap your items and remove the prices which saves you a job! Generally the items are of a very high quality and the Fusion range offers particularily good value however the zips on dresses do tend to stick on seams and the sizes aren't consistent. I've had to return a few items because the zips were broken. Due to the lack of other quality womens clothing stores in Carmarthen items sell out quickly. Generally my experience of Monsoon Carmarthen has been very positive and I would recommend it.

You can buy gift cards here as well to be used in many other stores (not only Clinton Cards) and coloured picture postcards of the area hang in the doorway. I found the member of staff who helped me yesterday very pleasant and helpful; she went upstairs to the stock room to search for something which I was looking for, and came back downstairs with exactly the right thing!

Their website states that they had a 'desire to create a retail concept which is based on 21st century real country living and to educate UK consumers about the production of predominantly British product ranges', and they have most certainly achieved this. Whilst the product ranges are modern and quirky, they have somehow managed to retain the feel of old-style country living, and the quality that accompanies it. Their products are not just for show they stock Barbour, Hunter and Dubarry footwear, and jackets from Barbour and Chrysalis, all well-known quality brands for outdoor wear. The store is wonderful if you are a larger lady looking for fashionable clothes. Sizes range from 14 up, however I find even the size 14 extremely generous. You can really grab some bargains in here at sale time so watch out for them. You can also get Tshirts and jumpers on permanent deals (2 for £20) The only problem I find with the clothes is that they stain easily - and the stains rarely come out. Also I find that with the blouses, nice as they are, they are often see through meaning you have to wear something underneath them.
