What stood out most was their ability to stay organized and proactive despite the many moving parts. They kept everyone informed, responded quickly to questions, and made sure every detail was handled correctly so the closing could move forward smoothly. Even when unexpected issues came up, they remained calm and solutions-focused, which gave us a lot of confidence throughout the process. Buying or selling a home can be stressful, but having a knowledgeable and dependable closing attorney like Doug made a huge difference. We are very grateful for his hard work and would absolutely recommend Neumann law to anyone needing a skilled and reliable real estate attorney. His fees were also very reasonable! Bad move. The first magistrate said : Come back plead Guilty pay $ 200.00 we send you on your way. Nathan thought that crossing out a date was like missing a period or a comma. Big difference. Needless to say if you are pleading GUILTY then he is the lawyer to see. Court cost went from a $ 200.00 fine to about $ 500.00. He went to court 3 times for me and never let me know what was happening at either one. He had my money though. I was ordered to do 24 hours community service and to see someone to get a review and possibly treatment for alcohol abuse. Online I read that most got off the first time. I think he just wanted the money. I have sent a email to him because of the CoronaVirus and Doctor meeting, that I could not do it. No response. As well I could have appealed it. But was not told until after the time was up to do that. Nothing changed from what the first Magistrate told me. Except I am out of pocket a few dollars. After Mr. Earwood got involved, it got worse in my opinion. I should have just taken the bench warrant since I live in a different country. Or come down myself. i could have pleaded guilty, did not need Mr. earwood for that for me.

As is often the…read morecase, when one does work with a real estate lawyer, one often does not deal much with the lawyer, and my experience was no exception. The interaction I had with Mr. McDuffy was great! He was pleasant and prompt. The star of the show, however, was Ana. She is very polite, professional, and an absolute pleasure to deal with. I was quite delinquent in getting her paperwork she requested weeks prior, and never lost her patience or professionalism. At closing, too, she took the blame for something that was clearly my fault, and kept me from looking like an idiot. That wasn't necessary, but very much appreciated! This is my real estate law firm of choice moving forward. Thanks for the wonderful experience, Ana!

We did not need his bolstering- he was able to answer our legal question, and we were on our way. Don't get me wrong- he helped us, and that means a lot when you feel lost in the legal world. Scott will not waste your time, and I recommend him.

Since his passing in October of 2025, the process for resolving the trust has been very difficult. it's going to cost us around $8500 additionally after the initial $5000, and we have no communication. Our father set up a trust with Strauss Attorneys, PLLC. He died over two years ago and we were…read moretold that Dad's assets should be easy to distribute and it should take less than a year to close everything. We still have not received all the funds. Although we are successfully retired college graduates, we have been told by estate lawyers here in Michigan that dad's trust was written to specify subtrusts (with Strauss as trustee) that are appropriate for beneficiaries who are drug addicts or incapacitated in some way. Initially Strauss delayed putting a notice to creditors in the paper (typically done a week or two after death) for over six months, delaying the partial distribution which we got eleven months after dad died. They remediated the subtrust issue by generating new subtrusts at our expense - another half a year. These apparently are paying taxes at the maximum possible rate because there are no K1s. Every quarter fees are taken from the trust but there is no transparency, no accounting statements despite many requests, and no end to the delays. We are frustrated beyond description and starting to wonder if an employee has absconded with the funds. Hoping it doesn't drag on to 2026. I wish we had hired a different North Carolina law firm long ago and made them trustee.
