Whitby Public Library has all the bell and the whistles and anything that I want in my dream library... I think I can even organize my "dream" wedding here! The only problem is the limited number of parking spots. Only around 15 or so for a large library this size (it has more computer terminals than parking lots!!) Of course there are some reasonable municipal parking lots right next to the library at 50 cents a hour and free on evenings, weekends and holidays.

So I opened up yelp and came across this one not to far from school. The building looks very pretty. And the inside is nice and quiet. Very organized and clean. There are two levels one has a few computers in the far corners and the second level has some tables and couches to do some work. Asides from having books on both floors. It also has a cafe in the building, which was neat. I haven't seen a library with a cafe before. I had chosen the couch spot to do some work and sit by the fireplace since it was cold outside. It was quiet and I was able to finish a lot of work while I was there. I would definitely recommend this library to groups as well, since they have rooms you can book to do group assignments. The only thing I would say sucks is the parking, I wasn't able to find parking near the library so I had to park at a P lot, which wasn't too expensive. $1 for 1 hour.

The city workers are not plowing the snow on time and salting the sidewalks. Plus the bus driver's rude and ignorant. They never seem to help. In addition the bus service schedule is terrible it does not run late snd we as citizens are stranded and have to walk. I find the homelessness is affecting the area a lot and especially the mental health levels of other citizens. I literally want out of this area. Not much business either. Literally the whole municipality government of Peterborough should be embarrassed to call themselves professionals. There's a separate reading room that has a variety of newspapers, both current editions and back issues. Downstairs is a large children's section with books, CDs, DVDs, video games and board games. It's easy to reserve items including those located at other branches. My whole family loves it here and frequent often.

Their parking sucks, there's no where to pay & they don't accept debit visa which sucks. Also, not enough hot people there. They were relatively meh. However, they had this one building that was quite nice though! Seemed pretty new and clean. Also, I felt like no one knew where everything was. I was trying to find the UA building and people had no idea where that was at all. We asked about 15 different people and no one knew. We were all pointed into the wrong direction.

Great neighbourhood library as you can access all these city services in one stop! Interior is spacious with high ceiling.. great cottage theme with neutral brown and pine tone... Book collections are small.. but sometimes is good that you can always find the more current reading materials. Quite a few computer terminals that has full access... not too busy in the middle of the afternoon. Separate room for kids or other toddler programs.... you can see them having fun but you cannot hear them scream. Just perfect!

My friend and I walked by Uxbridge Public Library to get to the heart of downtown Uxbridge. It was…read moreclosed at 4 pm on a Saturday. We got there at 5 pm. This review is more about what we saw and learned walking around the library as tourists. The library was first established in 1859 as the Uxbridge Mechanics Institute and Library. In 1981, this library was deemed a historic building. We saw a sculpture outside the library. Turning of the page is the sculpture's name, created by Wynn Walters in July 2019. We looked through the window to see what the library looked like. We were looking at the Blu-ray and DVDs section on the main floor. The selection was decent. I saw a little free pantry, so we headed over to check it out. It was nicely stocked. We wished that he had something to contribute to it. There was a water fountain across from it. It caters to humans and pets who need to quench their thirst. It's a cute area. There is a table where you can play checkers or chess. The flowers around the library looked nice. We learned that the Uxbridge Horticulture Society helped beautify the library's exterior. Uxbridge has two public libraries. We stumbled on the original. There is also Zephyr Public Library, which is further north. The library is closed on weekend. Its hours of operation differ between what was posted on the door and what is stated online. I'd call the library before heading over. It's a cool library. Here's hoping that we can visit it when we are back and it's not closed. (308)

The place is quite spacious with about three sit down tables and five or six barstools along the window. The place is bright and clean and the assortment of foods and baked goods and coffee is great. On my visit I just stopped for a quick caramel latte so all I can comment is on that. A medium latte was five dollars and it was quite tasty. It's not fancy so there's no caramel drizzle or latte art or anything like that but it's just a nice cup of latte and convenient if you're visiting the area.
