I'd been struggling with post concussion symptoms (light sensitivity, headaches, difficulty…read morereading, mood, etc) for almost 3 years and had tried SO MANY THERAPIES. I even purchased my own hyperbaric oxygen chamber, shot stem cells up my nose, did all the crazy diets, etc. It wasn't until I luckily walked into Imagine X, that I regained hope and real tangible results in my healing journey. I went in for a 4 day intensive and since then have had no light sensitivity, a 50% increase in my ability to read, concentrate and work. The building is beautiful, the staff very kind and the price small for the quality of life I regained. I highly recommend Imagine X for people struggling with post concussion symptoms. My only regret is that I didn't find them sooner.

I came to this clinic because physical therapy, chiropractics and cranio sacral therapy all didn't help and these guys specialize in neurological brain issues. The clinic is filled with very educated and very passionate practitioners and staff. Dr. Perman (whose background education includes both doing research at Harvard, and finishing functional neurology programs in San Francisco early and with honors) got me, within a week, to a point where I can stand with my eyes closed and not tip over, as well as being able to read what I'm writing without it being blurry. Dr. Harcourt, whom I believe is a low profile genius, took a look at my hormone tests and got me on DHEA and Pregnenolone that is making me feel less stressed and better overall. I'd gone to a holistic MD with those same test results and they gave me bio-identical pregnenolone and estrogen hormones that had my blood pressure sky rocketing and my body breaking out in rashes. You don't spend a lot of time with Dr. Harcourt, but what he says is pretty golden, so you feel lucky to have him give his opinions. Then there is Jenny who lights up the room welcoming you and Rachel who does marketing and finance. Somehow, Rachel manages to make you feel cared for and connected to her as a real person, even though she is running ragged as they are soon opening a second clinic in Beverly Hills. Katie helps the practitioners and cares enough to make things right. I was initially afraid of this clinic. What if they were just slick sales people who would take my money and then do zip? Not the case. They are real. They are smart and passionate and care. That said, you don't undo head trauma with one week- I still have to do exercises, but their package includes follow up visits when I'm in that stage too. I am not fully healed yet, it has been just a bit past my one week intensive treatment, but I am better, and I believe I will be healed. I truly like them all. (including the warm, sharp, and funny Dr, who gives the initiation, Dr. Terrano. I hear that he is amazing with treatments too).

Dr. Curatalo is an unusual physician because he takes the time to "hear you" instead of jumping to…read moreimmediate conclusions. He is an excellent analyst of conditions before offering a solution. He has followed my sleep apnea for 10 years. Also my AVM (brain issue). And, has spotted two areas of concern outside the parameters of my primary health issues. Perhaps the most important concern he helped me resolve had to do with early onset dementia. Four years ago at age 79 I took a battery of tests for this potential disease. The results were memory of an 95 year old. Of obvious concern I spent a lot of time researching possible remedies, or strategies to slow the dementia process. He suspected the test was faulty and had me tested by a local neuropsychologist which found me to be in the upper 18%, completely at odds with the previous report which, upon further evaluation was found to be that of another client in his upper 90s, The tests are coded by number instead of just name and I was sent his results instead of mine. This may not seem like that big a deal, but I can tell you, this finding completely changed my outlook on life, living. For that I will be eternally grateful for the advice offered by Dr. Curatalo. I started my journey with two different neurology practices closer to my home. After seeing Dr. Gibbs, my quality of life drastically improved. Response time to inquiries do vary. I believe that this is because Dr. Gibbs is giving his whole attention to the patient in front of him, which I wholy apppreciate. The front office staff is kind and considerate. I've not had any difficulty with my insurance with this practice. Everything has gone quite smoothly. I contacted Dr. Young's office after having gone to two other sleep apnea doctors in Santa Barbara,…read moreboth of whom were inadequate in their approach and appeared to be more focused on money than health. I have three doctors in my family and have also seen several other doctors over the years in Santa Barbara. In summary, I would say that Dr. Young is by far my favorite Doctor. He explained what sleep apnea was, asked me why I thought I might have it, thoroughly reviewed my treatment options and explained to me the difference between a sleep test at home versus a sleep apnea center. I opted for the sleep center and up to that time, was very adamant about doing the test in my home. The sleep test went well despite all the hookups to my body to monitor my sleep patterns. The staff was great which made me feel a lot more comfortable. In my follow up visit with Dr. Young, my news was good, no CPAP necessary and he thoroughly explained what and why my other options were but they too were optional. I did see the negative reviews which appear to be while Dr. Young was at Sansum some of which were related to his staff. I am no fan of Sansum Clinic, now Sutter health. Guessing that now that he has his own practice and no large corporate medical business to tell him what he has to do, things may have changed. Finally, I was tense when I first visited his office, based on my experience with offices overstaffed by inexperienced MAs etc. and greeted in a warm and friendly manner by the receptionist and then by Doctor Young. I have no hesitation at all recommending Dr. Young to anyone I know who may be suffering from Sleep Apnea. Stephen Wheeler

The theory of the technology used (Sanexas Electric Cell Signalling Treatment-EST) is radiofrequency electrostimulation of the micro nerves and capillaries of the feet and lower legs together with microdoses of B vitamins. After nearly a year of treament, my symptoms were gone. Almost a year later, a mild case of neuropathy returned. So I started treatments again in the fall, continuing through last week, when, once again, treatments were effective and symptoms have disappeared. My understanding, from speaking with SBRHC therapists, is that it can be used for back pain, as well, though I have not tried that.
