This weekend, I had 2 slices of pie from here (Petee's Pie is what this location is listed as online): a Wild Maine Blueberry Slice and a Brown Butter Honey Pecan Slice. Upon delivery, we noticed the slices were a bit smaller than we expected, and the tips were broken off a bit. The pies came at room temperature and so we enjoyed them as is. I enjoyed the sweet filling and crisp pecan crust of the brown honey pecan slice, and my boyfriend appreciated the small, whole blueberries in that slice. We both noted that the pies weren't overly sweet, which we appreciated. While I can't say this is the best pie I've had in the city, the rest of the pie menu looks intriguing and the reviews definitely show a lot of loyal fans, so I'd like to try this place again. read more

The interior is tight but well furnished with some counter seating and couch, and generally just a cute ambience. I got the hot national parks tea, which was so fragrant. Petee's makes my absolute favorite pies in the city. I've been a long time customer at their Lower East Side location and am so excited they have a spot in Brooklyn. The craving for their pie has struck me in the middle of the work day so often I'm not afraid to say I've spent an unreasonable amount of $ to have just a couple of lone slices delivered to my office for my afternoon pie cravings-- and it's always worth it. I truly have not had a flavor I didn't like, but some standouts include cherry crumb, salty chocolate chess, banana cream and rhubarb. The crust is always crisp, and the fillings are always buttery and not overly sweet. The Manhattan location is just a tiny take-out counter, and the Brooklyn location is only marginally bigger, with a couple of seats at the counter. The pie carries really well and would make a great addition to any Thanksgiving spread. read more

The cherry crumb is my favorite, but I've even tried the seasonal flavors I was unfamiliar with and really liked them too. Staff have gotten much better than the team that worked here before the remodel. Everyone seems friendly and they did an excellent job for the thanksgiving pickup this year. If I could make one request... PLEASE BRING BACK THE BREAKFAST SANDWICH!! That biscuit, sausage, pepper jelly combo is the stuff dreams are made of. It tasted exactly like they described: a salted brownie in pie form. Divine, divine pie! I don't know how they do it. I'm not even sure I'd consider myself a "pie person," but Petee's pies would make me a convert. It's probably a good thing I don't live closer... The crust is out of this world. It just melts in your mouth. There are lots of tasty options to try. I would eat any of the ones I had again. My favorite is probably the black bottom almond chess, which also seems to have captured the hearts of many other Yelpers. Anything fruit is also good; plus, it makes you feel like you're eating a little healthier, right? Their set-up for COVID-19 is very sound. They have lots of notices saying only individuals or very small parties are allowed in at one time. The menu is posted outside, too, so you can figure out what you want before entering. Update to say that while their pecan pie is the best pie you'll ever have in nyc (at least for me there the case) the banana cream and the coconut cream are not the best, they're runny so the crust gets soggy and tasted like overly sweet whipped cream. I can't even handle how darling Petees Pie Cafe is. Definitely the cutest spot in the neighborhood. The pink walls are so dreamy. And the plants - litteraly everywhere - makes it feel homey. The marble counter, the milk glassware and the pies all on display make it feel like I'm in a sitcom grandma's kitchen. And I love it. Not to mention the pies are DELICIOUS. Favorites include the chocolate (if you love chocolate you NEED to try this pie) And the apple. Their pear is yummy too. The crust is buttery and flaky. And if you can afford the extra charge -- add their maple whip to your slice. So creamy and so perfect up top any slice. Slices are generous in size, and could be shared if necessary. Pumpkin Pie: scrumptious in flavor and perfect balance of soft and flavorful. I was a little blinded by her celebrity; I'm sure she gets a little annoyed by the paparazzi constantly following her everywhere, and superfans like myself bugging her when we catch her in front of her new cafe here (a very cute spot that will be getting alcohol eventually, and has an adorable backyard). But I couldn't help it. I had to tell Petee all about how we're pie people. How I get her pies for birthdays and parties. How we had pie at our wedding, because fuck cake. And she said, "Team Pie!" O Captain, My captain, I want to jump up on a desk like Robin Williams and tell you that I love the wild blueberry, the sour cherry, and the strawberry rhubarb (your manager Morgan's favorite, evidently, and he has good taste). Since it was strawberry season, I decided to get the strawberry rhubarb pie. The slice was fairly small, tart and didn't not have enough dough/crust as I would've like. I would give Petee's Pie 5-stars, if it were not for issues with the fulfillment with the order. I had ordered an apple crumb pie to be delivered. The pie was promptly delivered on schedule, but unfortunately the wrong flavor (cherry) pie was delivered. I contacted Petee's to let them know there was a mistake with the order. After couple texts and photos sent of the mistaken pie, they quickly offered a refund or a replacement. We opted for a replacement, which was quickly delivered within the hour. I am very pleased with the prompt response and courteous customer service. I fell in love with Petee's Pies awhile ago and leaned about Petee's Cafe just yesterday. A friend and I were looking for a sweet treat and decided to swing by Petee's in Brooklyn for a slice. It's so cute inside with a cozy feel. Music was playing as slices were served up. Small tables to sit 2-4 people were lined up against the wall and there was a backyard seating area that was nice as well. I ordered at the counter and was told the pie would come over to me. It came served on an actual dish with real utensils. I'm glad they're doing their part to save the earth. I went with the cherry slice, a scoop of vanilla and whipped cream. It cost a little less than 10 dollars but I was pleased once again. The crust was light brown, buttery and flaky. The cherries were tart and a bit sweet. Just perfect with the ice cream and whipped cream. The slice is a decent size. I'm sure I could have squeezed in one more slice but I controlled myself. I will definitely be back for another delicious visit. Next time I may have a drink with my dessert. Cocktails, wine and beer are also available for purchase. read more
