We just signed with them!…read more We initially heard about Charter Lakes through the grapevine; family, friends, forums, etc., not a single negative review that was worth taking into consideration. So we got our quote from some Representatives at the Houston Boat Show. Not knowing anything really about boat insurance, but being from the insurance industry, my first questions were kind of in-depth about the Policy wording. Instead of winging it and giving me the run around, they had one of their adjusters call me directly to answer all of my very annoying questions and he did it with perfection. The policy covers a lot of things you wouldn't think about. They even cover part of your fishing tournament entry if you can't make it because of an emergency. We called a few other insurance agencies for quotes. All was much more expensive and seemed we were going to get tangled up in the even of a claim. I feel pretty relaxed knowing that we have Charter as our Agent. They are backed by JG Gallagher brokerage and deal with very high rated insurers such as XL Catlin and Markel.
