    My husband insisted I give this location another try. I've returned 4 different times and am glad I did! I had a pleasant experience each time. They are redesigning the aquatics section. It is coming along and I can't wait until it's finished. One of the associates volunteers at the John G. Shedd Aquarium in Chicago and is very knowledgeable. He is starting a meet-up group and I plan to join. The Vetco clinic is nice and we decided to join the plan for the dogs. They even got shots there today. Yes, I can honestly say I now recommend this facility! What a difference!

    Found out today they sell discus fish $39.99. They look pretty healthy too. Picking up some kulhi loaches $3.99. They have a pretty good selection of fresh and saltwater fish located in the center of the store. Staff is friendly...brought my puppy here for shots...they have low cost clinics,call for dates. Plenty of parking.

    This is the closet one to me so me and my dog Yoshi visit here quite often especially when he needs a hair cut. I've taken the puppy classes here about 2 years ago and the instructor was really good and helped Yoshi with the common commands. The place is clean, organized, and there is usually someone on the floor to help you. They have a wonderful collection of dog clothes for boys and girls. They also carry a variety of dog food and cat food. The grooming salon is really good and they always do a nice job on Yoshi. They have windows for you to see your dog being groomed, and they always give them a little bandana and perfume to wear.

    When you take your dog to the groomers you can't wait to see them come back looking. This has not been the case with my recent visits. The visit prior to my last visit I had to return my dog so he could be cleaned up. They cleaned him up and his trim looked better. This last time was a pure hatchet job which you can see in the picture. My appointment was at one, my dog was not ready until after 6 pm. They called the wrong number after I specifically gave Dana the right number to call. Also Dana is responsible for this hatchet job on my dog. Karina the manager offered to fix it but I did not want them to touch my dog after they botched it so bad. I received a partial refund and a coupon from the store manager. However that is not enough to make me return. Receipt posted.

    I am a regular customer at PETCO. I took my Yorkie Milan to get grooming appt today. I told Karon before I left that DIDN'T want Milan's facial hair cut short and to leave her a ponytail at the top. The ponytail was the only this Karon did right. She cut all of Milan's facial hair off. When she brought Milan out to me I told her right away that I didn't like it and the facial hair was too short. Her response was "she was moving/her hair was already short"! She walked away like she was going to continue to finish cutting the other dogs hair and she left me standing there. Then, she came back added that Milan's hair was cut too short in the notes. She wasn't trying to resolve it and wasn't apologetic AT ALL. I walked away extremely irritated and went to purchase dog food. The manager Stephanie found me and apologized and gave me a full refund. She was very nice and I really appreciated her customer care. But I won't be bring Milan back to PETCO. My dog hates her hair cut, she's not even happy!

I have a very special little dog who…read moreneeds a lot of training and attention to help overcome her behavioral challenges and they not only understood what to do immediately, we've been making steady progress since we first met everyone. The convenient Wheaton location of the facility is great for daycare and they also allow for half-day daycare too. Very flexible scheduling. When I pick my dog up, I can tell that she's received personalized attention from the staff and that she has been well cared for. Often she's been able to work one-on-one with a staff member for nearly all of her half-day session. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there. We had an introductory evaluation for our very anxious dog that was a rescue with an unknown 5 year background. Zac Galvan, a Landheim trainer, saw good things in Oakley. We proceeded to have 5 private training sessions with Zac. Oakley has progressed so well. We are no longer afraid to walk him among people and other dogs. In the past Oakley would be so frightened that he would either " fight, flee, or freeze ". Zac taught us, yes, it is the humans that are being trained, to teach the dog proper behavior and to overcome his fears ( and ours). It takes much patience and understanding of the dynamics to overcome the past poor behavior issues. The training is done with positive rewards not fear. We will be continuing with more training classes with group classes to continue the fabulous progress that Oakley ( and we) have made. We highly recommend the training techniques provided by the trainers at Landheim.

I put in a request online with their website for boarding for 2 dogs from the 1-3/1-11. I got a voicemail (pictured ) the next day or so. In the voicemail it says the price for 2 dogs and what the deposit would be to hold the spots. I called back, no one answered so I left a voicemail. No one called me back the next day so I called again. No one answered so I left another voicemail. Finally someone called me back to take my deposit. So I paid the $184 for my deposit they said great we will see you guys on January 3rd for drop off. So within 2 weeks I made sure all the vet records were correct on Landheims portal for my dogs and the feeding schedule. Medication. Emergency contact. Vets number. And who was allowed to pick them up. January 3rd. I go in to check them in. They started going over details with me about feeding and everything. I said I put all this into the portal for them. The staff member told me they don't have access to see that? I'm like okay whatever I don't mind going into the details of feeding and what not. 20 minutes goes by or questions for feeding. They told me okay we have extra add ons for cots and playtime. I said yeah I thought I checked those all off on the portal. They told me no I didn't. I said okay well can you add them. They said no problem. They asked me to bring the dogs in so they can take them back. So I brought them in one by one. When I handed them my second dog they said okay we will see you the 11th for pick up. I said I put someone else down for pickup in the portal. They told me it didn't show up. So I gave them the name. I asked if I can pay in full now so when my friend comes to pick them up he doesn't have to worry about a balance. They said yeah we can take payment now it'll be $800. I said I was quoted $368 and my deposit was taken for $184. I showed them the voicemail ( pictured below ). They said well Brittany is right here so Brittany can you explain to her why you quoted her $368? Brittany said I don't understand the issue you don't want to pay the $800? I said not if I don't have to when I was quoted $368 and my deposit of $184 was taken. Brittany called her supervisor. Asked me what date the voicemail was left because they have everything recorded on the phones. I said the date and time and even offered to play it for her. She said no it's fine I guess I can scroll all the way back on the computer to find it. Well after Brittany talking to her supervisor they agreed to honor the quote I was given since my deposit was already taken for it. Brittany was very rude and basically tried to shame me for it saying " you do understand this is a business right?! " " you do understand that everywhere we have advertised is $46 per dog per night right?! " " I do not agree with this at all but we will honor it just this one time. You do understand this is one time right?! " I told her I understand it is one time and I also understand miscommunication and misunderstanding but I was given a quote and I understand this is a business which is why I asked for a quote, I am not trying to be a pain but I was told one thing had my deposit taken for that price and it all of a sudden doubled?! The person I was first dealing with seemed to agree with me and understood. Brittany rolled her eyes and me and said " yeah well this is a business you understand that right?! ". So I paid in full the amount I was quoted with the add ons. So my account was paid off in full no more back and forth. Didn't hear anything from them all week ( if something was added on or wrong ). My friend goes to pick up the dogs on the 11th. They told him it was $112 balance on the account and asked him to pay it. He did because we were on a plane on the way home so he couldn't call and ask. We land and he told us about it. I called and left a voicemail asking why my account had a balance when I paid in full. They called me back Monday saying the front desk staff called off on Saturday so the person they had up front knew how to do front desk but not really. Ok???? But if that person is going off the computer then why is that balance on my account when it's paid off? I gave them my card number so they can reimburse me so I can pay my friend back. I thought this place was going to be great because I have seen such great things about it and it 10 minutes from my house. But after this, I will never be back.
