I was in the store two days ago and have never had such an awkward experience. Upon entering the store I was greeted with a dirty look from an employee wearing a fanny pack (brunette, glasses, no name tag, go figure!) Hey, I get it, everyone has bad days but come on. I barely stepped foot in the store at that point. After that encounter, I was on a mission to find food for my dogs and be out of the store quick as I had other errands that day. However, when I went to use the restroom, I had to walk all the way to the front of the store in order to get a key. When I got to the front, the same woman that gave me a nasty look was there. She was very insistent on trying to get my ID which I didn't feel comfortable with. She then proceeded to say I needed to give her something of value in order to get the key. I handed over my health insurance card and she argued there wasn't value for that but caved and allowed me to get the key. The fact that there even had to be a mini disagreement over the value of a card to use the restroom is ridiculous. Also, I my wife whom passes as white has NEVER been asked for her ID in order to use the restroom at that specific location. She needs to be retrained or fired for her lack of regard for customers. She is racist, it's clear since my wife was never asked for her ID. I won't be returning to this location. All in all, the cashier I had at the end was very kind and I had no issues with her, just the other fanny pack woman. read more

I have been there a couple of times. Once I made a comment of bad grooming they did, I returned & they did a great job. I decided to go back yesterday. I paid before looking at the way she looked until I got home. Terrible job around her legs, her chest & there were shorter areas on her back. I will NOT go there again. Some of their workers are nice but I'm disappointed on the work they do. read more

Brought our two Aussie Shepherds in to get groomed specifically to get their nails clipped - and paid extra to have them buffed. Go figure they did neither (and yes... I actually measured how long their nails were before and after and they did NOT clip or trim them). One of their coats was trimmed beautifully - the other one looks absolutely horrible on his butt area. The exact same dogs yet completely different outcomes. Convenient - yes. I've never had much luck at Petco. I recently went back because I have a new puppy that needed a nail trim. The website said that nail trims were something among other grooming services, that would be done via walk in (no appointment needed). Got there and there was a sign on the register that said no walk ins due to short staffing. The short staffing is getting old. Pay people more and they will want to work there. Besides this, I was intrigued that it looked like they had a self dog wash that may accommodate smaller animals. My daughter has been wanting to do the self dog wash, but every other place seemed to only have bigger dogs using this service. Petco's stations looked small dog-friendly. I checked for a worker to ask but there was no one to be found. Anyone could have stolen something and ran out the door without anyone knowing. The front area was empty for at least 5 minutes. Hopefully they have cameras. I was excited to tell my daughter of the possibility of doing the self wash and we went there the following Sunday. We had our Puppy and asked about the pet wash and said we have never done this before. They said it was ok for my puppy to use, took my money, and someone at that point showed us the wash. The pressure of the wash was way to forceful for a small puppy. I don't think some of the lines had soap, and there was definitely no conditioner. If I would have known about the water pressure ahead of time we would have not done the wash. Instead we tried putting our hand over the stream when washing her to not make it so forceful. Since no soap and conditioner were coming out, I figured it was kind of silly to stay. We got her out and were given 2 "towels" which were the size of 2 washrags. Definitely not enough to dry her. The hairdryer was also too forceful for our puppy and it was cold. We weren't provided a brush even though the website said that brushes would be provided. I had my 7 year old ask someone thinking they just forgot a brush. Nope! Brushes are not provided only a shampoo massager and a couple of flimsy towels. Do NOT bring a dog there less than 15lbs. At the West Mason Street location, bring your own shampoo, conditioner, towels and a brush. I can understand if you have a big hairy dog that the high pressure water and cold dryer would be nice for them. Just be prepared to bring these other things. I just wish the staff would have told me, a newbie to this, that our dog was too small, and also told us what was and wasn't included since it was different from the website description. I am sure the lack of soap and conditioner was just an over site, but staff really should have checked this before letting us use the bath. I'm just very disappointed and would like my money back. Tried calling since my pup was drenched, unbrushed and freezing we decided just to hurry home. Guess what? Only got voice mail and I tried several times . I left a lengthy voice mail, so I hope someone calls me back to discuss my experience. read more

Love the groomers here. It has a lot of corporate mess, but overall the workers r fab-managers are ALWAYS nice-very helpful!! Also love the groomers. Of everywhere in GB they are the best at grooming Yorkies and Yorkie Poos. read more

I always had a good experience except this time. I specifically asked to have my dogs eyes cleaned and his tail cut and neither one was done and then when I was heading back one of the employees started yelling at me telling me I was band from coming there anymore I had no idea what was happening. She told me my friend that brought me there started yelling that the girl holding my dog was hitting him with his lease. I was the customer not him and she had no right to verbilly attack me like that when I had no idea what was going on. She doesn't have to band me cause I will never step foot into Petco again. read more

We took our two dogs to the park for a bit today, and decided to stop at Petco on our way home since we were out of treats. One of my dogs had an accident in the store (#2, even though they had both just gone before we got there, but hey, accidents happen). I immediately began looking around for a waste pickup station (like Petsmart has, all around their store) and couldn't find one. So I promptly go up to the register to ask one of the workers for a bag and some spray/wipes to clean it up. After searching for a few minutes, I finally get what I asked for, and clean up my dogs business. When I was done, I walked back up to the front, looking for a garbage, when one of the older ladies working glared at me, and asked (in a snippy tone) if it was "one or two". I stated she pooped, and the lady rolls her eyes, then proceeds to point out the door and states "well there's a garbage can outside, around the corner near the building. I do NOT want that in my store." I asked her, to confirm "outside?" She replies "ugh, just leave it on the counter." Slightly dramatic, but extremely rude on her end. I'm sorry, but you work in a pet store, where animals are welcome. Accidents happen! I did my duty as a pet owner and cleaned up the mess, which is absolutely my responsibility. I work in customer service, and me and my team always go out of our way to make the customer happy. We do not snap at them and roll our eyes because we feel inconvenienced. Place some pet cleanup stations around the store, make it pet friendly, and maybe it wouldn't be such a problem. Needless to say, we left right away. PetSmart it is from now on. read more

This was my first visit to Petco. I have a 4 month old puppy and needed some advise on potty training my little girl as well as trying to get her to slow down as she eats. The staff at the West Mason store not only assisted me with my questions, provided me with information on their training services, helped me find the correct food and cleaning supplies to assist me in keeping her healthy and happy. They went above and beyond in their customer service. A job well done. A very happy customer! read more

I stop in regularly to buy cat and dog items for my pets. They always have what I need in stock. The grooming department does a lovely job grooming my cotton ball of a husky. The location is a bit dated and sometimes you have to wait for a cashier for a bit. I will continue to go here though it is so close and convenient for me. read more

Over a year ago my 15 year old yellow Lab was there getting groomed. I was a 15-year customer of Petco in Appleton. Bought all of my dog food. Toys. Supplies and pills here. And when I move to Green Bay I took my yellow lab to the Petco on the west side of Green Bay. As they were trimming his nails they let him fall off the table and dangle with the strap around his neck. He wasn't able to get back up on the table because he was 15 years old. Even though I made them aware of his weak back legs. They let him them hang as they tried to figure out what to do. As I tried to go to the back to help him. They yelled at me and told me to get out of the back. I decided to give them a second chance. And when I called back they told me that they had a 15 year old dog policy and I was not able to let my dog come back. I was never told of this policy before. The way they treated me and my pet is disgusting. And now after a year they decide to respond to my Facebook post that I put on their page. Just goes to show they care about their customers about as much as they care about their pets. Can't believe this place is still in business. The way they treat their customers and pets is terrible. And the snooty comments the girls made who were trimming his nails as I tried to help him were disgusting. There are so many other small mom-and-pop grooming salons in Green Bay that actually care about your pets. Cater to their needs whether they be young or old. And have actually better prices too. Sierra helped me find a training collar for my dog, she was great! It was a bit large and I couldn't get the links out to resize it and brought it back a day later. Sierra and two more employees helped me get a smaller size and a quick release collar which was easier for my dog to put on. It is still 1 link too big, and they tried like I did to remove one, even the strongest guy in the bunch could not get the link to pinch together to take it out. Anyway, they did a great job assisting me and correcting the product I needed. Once the collar was on, my dog was able to walk in the store and shop with me. She also knows now when we pull in the parking lot where she is! Its her favorite car ride! read more
