Customer service at this establishment does not exist. The "manager" Steve is very rude. I was forgiving with my first terrible interaction with him but now we've had three terrible experiences. Just purchased some night crawlers for my babies and they were moldy and dried up. It's such an unprofessional store that I will not even return for a refund. I avoided employees this time because they are judgmental and ignorant. Avoid Petco. Especially Clinton. Even their responses to reviews are a copy and paste response. THEY DO NOT CARE. So this review is aimed more at Petco Corporate than it is the Clinton store. But Petco stole $150 from me. Let me explain; 3 weeks ago at the Clinton Utah store I purchased $150.05 worth of food and supplies. Just as this purchase was rung up, myself and the Manager noticed what appeared to be a 50% off deal on food so he "voided" the purchase and re-rung up the food. He told me that the voided purchase would be refunded in 3-5 days. Let me be clear, both charges went thru on my account. After 4 days upon not receiving the refund I returned to the store and spoke with the manager. He could not print the receipt for the purchase but let me take screenshots of the $150.05 with all the info. I called customer service - 4 times - and have been blown off. They tell me i need to deal with the store and the store tells me i need to deal with customer service. It's now been 2 weeks. I had found an email on the internet for Petco "customer service" and they keep telling me they are investigating. Sure. Petco stole my $$ and there appears to be nothing I can do. They were a ton more helpful and even told me the product I was looking for was wrong for the animal I have. I come here a lot. I am a fur momma to my dogs. I get treats and toys and even some doggy outfits. They have a awesome self serve doggy wash. I think that is a cool idea. Like to get the doggy snack that look like people food. My dogs really think I'm sharing my food with them,but it's just for them. I have personally brought my dogs in separately. The staff is nice and give them a treat and a good rub down. They have all kids of other animals, like birds and fish of course. I can't speak of stuff they have for cats cuz I don't have any. Fish stuff I can say is good. I have got many fish supplies from here. I would have to say I come her twice a month at least. I will be back and so will my fur babies. read more

Save your money at the dog self wash until things improve. The staff was friendly enough and the overall store was clean but it costs $20.00 for the wash and while I understand they dilute the soap etc., it was so diluted on the shampoo setting that it felt like nothing was in it, there weren't any signs of any suds, and our dog still smelled afterwards. The dog scrubber had black mold in the crevices on the back and the towels were clean but kind of gross looking. read more

I wish I didn't even have to give this business 1 star. My wife and I brought in our nine month old puppy to get a bath and his nails clipped. (We had brought him here before and it went well) Well after they had called us to tell us he was done, we paid and we went to leave but noticed a bunch of blood all over the ground. That's when we found out not one but two of his paws were gushing blood. We went back to talk to the lady who hurt our baby and she said when he was back there with her is when he began to bleed from her cutting his nails way too short. But when they brought him out? She didn't even have the decency to tell us. We had to find out the hard way. Never never never bring your pet here. I was going to give this Petco a 3-star rating because of the lack of dog food on the shelves, but then I thought about the supply chain disruptions. I buy Merrick dog food, and I've been buying it from Petco for years. This last few months I haven't been able to get the particular food I need, and it's pretty frustrating. So I went to Petsmart and low and behold the shelves were FULL of Merrick dog food and I had no problem finding products. Their shelves were FULL. So what's the deal Petco? Maybe it's a management issue (inventory management). I really don't know. I prefer Petco, but if I have to I will use Petsmart for my dog food and pet gear needs. I had given Petco a 5-star rating not long ago for their employees' customer service. But this Petco is falling down in the area of keeping their dog foods stocked up. You know it's hard for me to prove or else my lawyers would be all over this place. I took my French Bulldog in for a bath, teeth breathing, brush, nail trim, and paw butter. They told me it would be 2.5 hours. When I came to pick up my dog, he was not brushed completely covered with hair still. His paws had no paw butter whatsoever, his teeth were not brushed, only thing that was done by as a 2.5 hour nail trim. Odd right.. well I choose to not make a fus about it and carry on. I have made no changes to my dogs diet including treats. This same night my dog had bloody diarrhea, than the next day, and the next. I'm not a expert here on what could have happened in that pet co, but I do think it's odd this has happened to my dog. Very bad experience at the Clinton Petco today. The last time I took Sadie in, 3 weeks ago, I took her to get her shots. I signed her up for the thrive plan because they gave me a coupon for a free visit. They also told me that the entire thriveplan would be included in the total of my charge. I paid $251. I had to get her a booster shot today. And they tried to charge me $40 when they told me what I was there three weeks ago that it was going to be included because she was on the thrive plan. when I asked about it she told me she didn't know what I was talking about and it was going to be $10 a month for the thrive plan and $40 for today's visit. Waiting for a manager to call me back on Monday. If I don't get the resolution I need, Petco can go screw themselves. read more

We decide to give Petco another try even though we were disappointed the last time we used their grooming service. SHAME ON US! Much to our disappoinment the grooming service was less than satisfactory. 1st problem: our little girl has no eye lashes! Not sure what thought process one would utilize to think about cutting off the eye lashes of a female dog. 2nd problem: her ears look like Vanilla Ice's eye brows, they have steps in them. Not sure how when they were cutting her ears they didn't see the obvious lines across the top of her ears. 3rd problem: underneath her legs there was patches of hair that they missed. We had to trim what they missed. Lesson learned, do not give them a third try. We will return to Uptown Bark for all future grooms. read more

Stay away from the grooming station unless you want to be treated badly. Went today and the manager was extraordinary unhelpful.

The first time we came here they did a good job on my Sheepadoodles cut. The second time they didn't pluck his ear hair and there were long bits in his paws and legs we can to go back and get fixed. Then the third time it happens again. I figured since it was a new place I would give them wiggle room to fix them before I gave them a bad review but it kept happening. So I decided to take him somewhere else. Where the new groomer told me that the old groomer had not been plucking his ear hair hardly at all. Poodles and poodles cross breeds grow hair in their ear canals and it's very important to pluck it. I figured since it was something basic that groomers should know I shouldn't have to pester them about it. Aparently not the case here. Pestering necessary. read more

On Sunday I purchased a Guinea Pig from the Clinton pet co we instantly fell in love! If anyone knows me you know I am an absolute animal lover!! Even when I'm afraid of them (cats) if i sense they need help i will swallow my fear! This guinea was instantly love by not only me but my 3 year old! Unfortunately by Tuesday we noticed some markings that just didn't seem right! We took her back to petco who took her to their vet. Turns out she had ringworm. I was told by an employee at that store that her cage mate had a mark on her nose as well and was quarantined when I purchased mine hmm I wonder where she got the ringworm... needless to say I spent a couple days debating if I would be able to give this loving guinea the love she deserves. I decided that I would probably not be able to and she would be happier with a family that would love her! I made the difficult choice to send her back! Needless to say Lynn Loveland the manager at the Clinton store was awful to me! I was trying to explain that we loved her enough to ensure she got adequate love and all he could do is tell me how awful I was and that I'm more of a stuffed animal person than a pet person. As he belittled me in-front of many people as it was pet adoptions day all I could do was sit broken hearted and UGLY CRYING that I have to give up our sweet bacon and I'm an awful person for it! I will NEVER go back to this store and recommend if you don't want to deal with plain mean people you don't either!! read more
