I contacted Lori and she was able to get him in the following week. We decided to do the boarding and training. Lori had him for 7 weeks and we are happy with the results. She also followed up with us a week after he was back home to make sure that we were following through with the ongoing training and to see how things were going. I would recommend Lori if you are considering training for your pup.

Lori was confirmed that she could help us out. She recommended a two week stay to begin with. A third week was necessary to continue addressing Josie's aggressive behavior. Josie was abused by men and had to fight for food at the shelter in Cabo San Jose, Baja Mexico. Due to her past she was aggressive towards men, toys and very aggressive with food. During training Josie lived in a home with several other dogs and learned how to share food, toys and groom herself. Lori is a wonderful trainer and provided us with daily updates and photos. We met with Lori during the third week to see Josie's progress. Lori provided us with instructions to continue Josie's training using the terminology that was familiar. Following the three week training session Lori made a visit to our home. It was evident by how Josie reacted to Lori that they both adored and had great resected for each other. Brown Dog Training was the perfect match for us.

My partner and I were happy with the results from a private session with Lynn. The best takeaway…read morewas her advice on crating our dog, which has made the process far less stressful for each of us. She taught us a few training games which have been great to use too. After that private session, we were really looking forward to the Mastering the Leash Walk workshop. Based on the training philosophy listed on the company's website, Lynn's recommendation, online reviews, and the class description we thought this workshop would help us improve walks with our rescue pup. Unfortunately the experience didn't meet those expectations. One [very large and awesome mastiff] puppy took over the instructor's attention and barked for much of the workshop, which made it hard to engage in the class. The dog was sweet, but obviously had very little training (nor had it been neutered, which was surprising for a group class) and disrupted instruction and learning. Although we respect Cesar Milan's training methods, it was disappointing that Max seemed to recite book content without fully showing how to implement those methods in the leash walk. The class description said be ready to enjoy walking with your dog off-leash, by your side. We didn't expect drastic change, but at least wanted actionable information on improving the walk. We were hoping for more instructor attention for each attendee, not just for the loudest or one that needed the most all around training help. It would have been helpful to see the instructor work with the variety of dogs in attendance and reiterate each of the general training ideas he shared. I think the cost warranted a handout or a web page (just one page with an outline or a couple short instructional videos) dedicated to the workshop content. Ultimately, the grandiose description was misleading and was not fulfilled in the workshop. I think at best this workshop was an Intro to Leash Walking Philosophy, which left us feeling like money and time wasted.

We took her to obedience class and hired 4 other well known dog behaviorists with no results. In fact, our dog's aggression towards people began to escalate. She bit several of our friends, family and a neighbor. She broke through our front glass window twice when the mailman walked by. We were told by 2 seperate veterinarians (after an extesive work-up that showed no physical reason for her aggression) to euthanize her. We were hopeless, desperate and concerned for our dog's future as well as for the safety of our friends and family. I am so pleased that a friend referred Robert. I couldn't believe that our dog (labeled "devil dog" by others) was on her back and asking for belly rubs from Robert shortly after he arrived! All the other trainers we hired NEVER were able to pet her or come within a few feet or her...even after 3 months of private training. I am so amazed at the change we have seen and continue to see in our dog. She now welcomes our friends into the house and sits calmly waiting to give sloppy kisses! She looks to us for direction and responds to our commands. She is so peaceful yet happy around company now. We continue to work with Robert as his training techniques work wonders! Robert , we can't thank you enough for saving our dog....and our sanity!

Daycare here is one of my pups favorite things!…read more My pup went here for YEARS! We have since moved out of the area which is why he doesn't go now. There's an indoor and outdoor area which is nice so the facility can be flexible based on weather where the dogs play. This is not the frills, nap time required kind of vibe. It's an unassuming, barebones facility full of employees who just love dogs and dogs who love dogs. This was what worked for my pup- he doesn't care if it looks pretty to humans- he cares (and I care) how he's treated. And he was treated very well and would be jumping around in the parking lot as we would walk up because he was so excited. And the staff would be excited to see him as well. The cost is in line with other daycares in the area - buying a package will help the per day cost. For my pup - totally worth it.

I've been to other doggy…read moredaycare places (Stone Mountain), but Ruff Love was closer and more convenient, so I thought I'd give it a try. I went in today for an orientation and a walk through at about 10AM. IMO, there were way too many dogs in each area. The dog rooms are small and dimly lit, and all connected, so the atmosphere is very loud. I was shocked at how many large dogs were in such a small area. As we walked through with the staff, a fight broke out between two dogs. Others joined in because there was no where to go. One staff in the room for about 20-25 large dogs. No wonder. There is simply not enough room for the number and size of dogs in that space. I would never leave my dog there.

He's now graduated to Tiny Town or Littles the staff is great about making sure all dogs get along as well. The staff is compassionate, caring, very well educated and make sure Jett is always safe (considering he's a whopping 6lbs). Some staff are also trainers, which I love! They all understand and know Jett, so we will always be coming here - unless Jett decides he's too old for daycare someday, as he starts to calm down from being a puppy. They always sent report cards during Puppy Pre-K and send them when he does the trick of the month as well, which I love to read how he did and what they worked on. Jett has made a bunch of friends, but he has about 3 really close doggy friends - that he absolutely loves! Metro Dogs also offers birthday parties, and that was the best idea ever, Jett had a blast with his best friends a couple months ago! I highly recommend Metro Dogs and tell all my friends and coworkers about Metro Dogs! I know Jett loves them too, as we turn into the road he starts howling like a high pitched husky and is so excited to run to the door he can barely make it
