Dr. Cuica is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely invested in the well-being of every pet he treats. He has cared for all four of my fur babies, as well as three of my childhood family pets, and every single visit has shown us just how deeply he cares. He doesn't treat animals like appointments on a schedule--he treats them like family.
One of the things that sets him apart is the time he spends with his patients and their families. At many veterinary clinics, you may only see the veterinarian for a few minutes before the rest of your visit is handled by technicians. With Dr. Cuica, he is present throughout the entire appointment alongside his amazing staff. He personally performs thorough examinations, takes the time to explain everything in detail, answers every question without rushing, and teaches you how to prevent illness and provide the best possible care for your pet. You leave feeling informed, reassured, and confident.
Over the years, he has been there for us during both joyful and heartbreaking moments. We recently had to say goodbye to two of our oldest family pets after they developed health conditions that unfortunately could not be treated. Dr. Cuica guided us through one of the most difficult experiences a pet owner can face with incredible compassion, patience, and kindness. His support during that transition meant more to our family than words can express.
He has also gone above and beyond in emergencies. He once cleared his schedule to perform an emergency surgery on one of our pets, something I will never forget. Most recently, all four of our babies were affected by a nasty parasite, and he remained available every step of the way to ensure they received prompt treatment and recovered as quickly as possible. Knowing we had someone so dedicated in our corner gave us tremendous peace of mind.
Beyond the exceptional medical care, his clinic is spotless and beautifully maintained. His office staff is always warm, welcoming, and compassionate, and his wife, Mrs. Cuica, is truly one of the sweetest, most caring people you could ever meet. They have created an environment where both pets and their owners feel genuinely cared for. Dr. Cuica is also reasonably priced, especially considering the extraordinary level of care and attention he provides. He is a skilled local surgeon, and the quality of his work speaks for itself.
