This pet store's got everything you can think about dog products - dog apparels, beddings, kennels & carriers, grooming tools, canine vitamins/medicines, toys, biscuits and treats. Their dog food selection, both wet and dry, are of variety too. They carry brands such as Holistic, Royal Canin, Go!, Hill's Science Diet and Pedigree. They sell by the sack and per kilo. Occasionally, you can find dogs being groomed in one of their rooms from which you watch from the outside. The big dogs are particularly cute to see 'cause they are rebels and they give the groomers a challenge. Haha! Staff's accommodating too. If the wait is taking too long at the cash register, they apologize. If I need assistance, they make it of their way to help. They carry the heavy items to the car even if I don't ask. Tip: They charge a 25php parking fee when you enter Hobbies of Asia. The establishment is near dampa so it's expected. Just tell them you're just passing by to buy dog food - they'll let you right in.

HOW TO LOSE A CLIENT…read more This is not the first time I ordered from them. Even my sister and nephews order from them. On April 8, I ordered a cake for my dog's birthday on April 12 since they require a 5 days lead time for their cake!!!. When the cake arrived, I was shocked to see the wrong order and the bad state it came in..it literally looks like SH%t! So I called to ask what happened. I said I'm willing to PAY for another cake just to have a nice bday celebration for my dog, but they want to charge me 200 pesos for a rush order?? I asked if they can just waive the rush fee since I'm a repeat customer and considering the bad product I received. But they refused to waive this fee. Amazinh customer service right??? No compassion at all! We called another dog cake supplier BARKINBLENDS and they said they can make a CUSTOMIZE CAKE with our dog's face on it SAME DAY (no rush fee and no 5 days lead time). If u guys insist on charging a client 200 pesos, then so be it. But this is how u lose a client that has been ordering from you for YEARS. 200 pesos to lose a client????!! Wow...bad bad customer service! We will gladly put our hard earned money somewhere else.

I wasn't too sure whether he'd like it but I had faith in Whole Pet Kitchen that they really knew what they were doing when they set this Pet Deli and Bark-ery up. When I got home to show my birthday surprise for my dog, he was too quick to smell and have a go at it. Let's just say that he finished it far too soon than expected. I recently went on a trip to Whole Pet Kitchen this time with my dog, Bart, in tow and his best friend Chewy. The place was packed when we got in but they managed to add another table for us. The place is just small and could accommodate at least 10 people at a time. 13 if there are owners who'd prefer to sit by the window, too. I ordered a Jack's Lasagna (P88) and Yogurt Cooler (P48) for Bart. While Chewy got a Yogurt and Carob Cooler (P58) which according to them is very much like a chocolate drink without the actual chocolate. All of their meals are organic and clean. Bart was really happy about his meal. He finished his lasagna so quick! The dish was empty in a matter of minutes. We had to take out the ice from the refreshments for the dogs because they preferred it to be luke warm rather than cold. As for me, I decided to try out the Arf-o-gato (P138). Their food for both pet lovers and for pooches were plated very nicely. You'd think that just because they're dogs they can't have it gourmet style! I'm sure Bart had a nice time here because he made friends with four of the other dogs while we were there. I want to come back because it's so nice to see my dog interact with other dogs. Something that he doesn't get the chance to do every day. He only gets to see Chewy on weekends.

The grooming section is always a sight to see whenever their are dogs getting groomed. I got myself a female Siberian Husky name Rava and I got her groomed over here for her first time and she loved it! I also go there at least every 2-3 weeks to restock on food and occasionally get new toys; I go there most of the time now that the moment my dog and I walk in, we get a "Hi Rava!" greeting. I highly recommend giving this place a visit!

Then you enter Pet Express and spend an hour looking at pet things and watching pets get groomed. Okay, so maybe this is a personal problem, but I rarely get to feel the express in this place because of my curiosity. The variety of dog foods intrigues me, and all the toys and leashes and beds too. Everything that you might want to buy for your pet can be found here, even those ridiculous looking pet strollers. I suppose if you didn't read all the labels and tags like me and tried every thingamabob in the store you could be in and out in 5 minutes, but where's the fun in that?

In fact, a pet shop would be the last place I'd buy ANYTHING from because of reasons. I guess having a brother who is a fish enthusiast makes you appreciate a little bit of aquarium stuff. He once brought me to this place because he wanted to inquire about shrimps. This is where I found out that Pet City has a lot of species to offer their customers. What's more, I think they're like 9000 times better than most pet shops I know. Why? Their fishes (at least the ones in display) are taken care of in good condition. I didn't see a lot of sick ones mixed with well ones when I went there, in fact. I was also amused by the beauty of the live plants available in there. Never mind that it gave me a chance to admire the beauty of freshwater fish, as underrated as they are to the world. It was a not-such-disappointing experience compared to my previous ones with most pet shops. Also, you can order particular fish species here in advanced, and you can call them anytime about it. They even offer delivery services to some customers. Convenient, huh?

He may be in doggy heaven now, but he will always be in my heart. Months after I lost him, I was given the opportunity to adopt another canine, this time, a Shih Tzu puppy. After my landlady agreed that I could keep him in tmy apartment here in Manila (Julio lived in our family home in Cavite), I agreed. Now I'm mommy to Yuan, who has his own hashtag on Facebook and Instagram: #YuanTamad. The search for a veterinary clinic that was easily accessible from our place soon followed. Thankfully, my friend who owns a Dachshund discovered Bloomers Petshop and Clinic at Harrison Plaza. Since then, we have brought Yuan there for his complete vaccinations and deworming. He also gets groomed there. Should you intend to go to the clinic, ask to be dropped off near the Bingo Place at Harrison Plaza as pets are not allowed inside the mall. Look for Doc Lubreen Bueno who is very sweet with our dogs and who patiently explains each procedure and answers questions. You only need to pay a Php 200 one-time consultation fee on your first visit. Succeeding check-ups are already covered. Grooming for our one-year-old Shih Tzu is at Php 450.

This was the most…read morememorable: It was this summer that all my cats caught the flu and the prescribed antibiotic is not available ANYWHERE! I've literally searched all the clinics I know, even gone through cartimar and back and I never found a thing. I was panicking because all of them had it, and was getting worse by the day. There are other alternatives to the drug and believe me, I've tried. But you know how sensitive cats are to medicines. Most of them just vomit them out, or even salivate because the tablets were so bitter despite the wet food. They would sleep with open mouths despite the constant nebulizing. Man that was like hell for me to see. And then, I thought of Pet Express. Even if I know they are mostly selling general supplies, I took my chances and called them up. What do you know? They have the antibiotic I was looking for! And they were selling it for way cheaper than the places I usually get them from. From the usual price of 250 pesos, I got it for 175 pesos. It was such a great relief. You can say, I may have hoarded a little bit. They are all stocked up in my fridge now. But you know...it was such a rare commodity that I was scared of needing it while supplies are not available! That was a good thing to know, really, that Pet Express has medicines available. And that they also can be requested to reserve some for you when you cannot pick-up right away. What helpful service!

While the place can get really full on weekends, I prefer going during weekdays as there are not too many dogs lined up for grooming, and the groomers can really spend time on my dog (and the freshly groomed scent lasts all week too!) The price depends on the grooming, but since I have a short-haired mini dachs, the price is slightly affordable at 400. The service starts with the groomer gently cutting the dog's nails, followed by cleaning the ears with baby oil (if your dog has special ear medicine, you can bring that too), then followed by a bath. The Purple Groom uses a tub and a handheld shower to really clean the dog. This is then followed by drying the dog with a blower, and once your furry friend is all dried up, powder and cologne are applied. In addition to dog grooming, The Purple Groom also retails Royal Canin dog food, as well as some accessories and medicines such as tick removers, pet cologne and pet carriers, beds, and dog nappies. What I really like though about The Purple Groom is how they handle the dogs. Personally, I've been requesting Christian to groom my dog as he's very gentle with dogs and you can really see that he's just really into pets and is very professional and knows what he's doing. Also, if you are busy, you can also leave your pets safely at The Purple Groom as they have ample dog cages while their owners are still out doing errands.
