DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE COWBOYS!!! we purchased a car for nearly £12,000 from then and it not only had a stack of major faults where it can't be driven but although trying to cancel it within 24 hours of purchasing it they take no responsibility. the mot that they have passed is a false one as the faults have not been done and it has about 7 major advisorys when we were told it had none. it has blue smoke coming out of it, no lights that work, an oil leak a major hole in the exhaust with paste covering rather than a proper repair, a bald tyre, emissions fault the list goes on. you do not expect to have this having brought a car for that amount please steer clear as it has been the worst experience ever! and we have a car sat here thar can't be driven due to the major faults. we have now reported them to trading standards and hope this stops others getting ripped off by them. they talk a great talk but they are bodging cars to get the sale then don't want to know when you have taken it to be reviewed by a mechanic and it has major faults which they knew of STEER CLEAR OF PERRYS MILTON KEYNES read more

Absolute disaster here. Totally disorganised company, i could not believe it! I traded in my beloved 206 for the 206cc, well when i went to pick it up they couldnt find the keys? How professional is that! I had to give them my insurance certificate (as expected) they took it away with other documentation to check, and i never got it back! They handed me all the paperwork back and i assumed it was in with this, when i got home it wasnt there - rang 3 times and was assured they had just put it in the post. When i rang a week later as i hadnt received it, they had no record of me? Or any insurance certificate. I also had an imobiliser code for the wrong car (so if anyone has got a blue 206cc from perrys and is missing the imobiliser code, i have it lol) They didnt show me where the car was, they just handed me the keys after an hour and a half of waiting for them to find them, so i just went and drove off - i could have been anyone stealing that car! They also never asked for my car keys for the trade in - stupidly i gave them in, i should have kept it! They promised me free tax for a year, and a free MOT. When i got the paperwork, it had actually been taxed and MOT'd a month and a half previously, which was about a month before i even decided i wanted a new car! Found out that someone had actually bought the car and returned it, and i found out why - the clutch didnt work, the roof leaked, the doors didnt shut properly, the automatic lights and windscreen wipers were broke, the brakes needed new disks AND pads. How did this even pass the MOT? i have no idea!! Argueed my point with them for months, never received a reply until i threatened to come down and sit outside their office and warn off customers, then i got an emailed reply saying they will repair all problems for me. Free of charge. All i had to do was take 2 days off of work (unpaid) and travel the 60 something miles there plus back (and pay for accomodation while they fixed it over the 2 days) LOL how nice of them :) So i did this, just to get it all sorted, they then tried to charge me the labour and i said nope you said free. And when i got home - it started raining and the roof still bloomin leaked! Non of the problems were fixed except the clutch didnt squeek as much. In the end i sold the bloody thing at a 6grand loss, just to get rid of it!! Useless cars and useless salesmen - avoid these cowboys! read more

Recently bought a 2008 Mondeo from Perrys and thought the customer service was excellent. As noted by other reviewers the salesman (Nick) was not at all pushy and gave me plenty of time to look around the car. I had two test drives, one diesel and petrol, arranged the next day after viewing the cars. Nick understood exactly what I was looking for and called me approx 6 weeks after my first test drive - he got it spot on and I have to say the car was so good that I did stretch my budget slightly. I have a sales background myself and can spot a bad salesperson from miles away - another garage in MK, which I shall not name, had salesmen which were much pushier & which I felt were not completely honest about the cars I viewed. This was not at all the case with Perrys, where the approach was much more relaxed and in my view much more professional. I would describe the approach as helpful rather than slick or glib. Have had the car for a few weeks, so still early days, but am delighted with it - the car looks, feels and drives as new. Never thought I would end up buying a Mondeo but have to say that Ford have transformed their entire range in recent years and echo the raft of positive reviews coming from other magazines & websites (autoexpress, honestjohn, top gear, etc). Absolutely no hesitation in recommending Perrys - they seem genuinely interested in helping you finding exactly the car you want, rather than simply flogging the cars on the forecourt. A pleasure to deal with from start to finish. read more

I had a completely different experience. The used car we bought had a non-obvious defect in the power steering, which we discovered after a few days. They gave us a loaner car while they investigated and attempted a repair - one days replacement, with the defective car being collected and the loaner vehicle being driven to my home. The purchased car came with a single key - they arranged for the local Fiat dealership to get an additional coded key. When we got the car back, after about a hundred miles the defect re-appeared. Same process - they collected the car, delivered a loaner and did all the same in reverse when the problem was fixed - which I understood involved replacing a chunk of the steering assembly. The long period loaner car had an immobiliser problem - same deal; they drove out a replacement and picked up the defective vehicle. The MOT and tax were exactly as the sales person had described. We had no missing documentation. I was completely satisfied. The car was exactly what I wanted for a teen learning to drive, at a good price. The service we had wasn't perfect - I'd have liked a completely defect free vehicle at handover, but then again I suspect the previous owner could have divulged more about the problem. Given that the vehicle had a problem, the attempts at rectification were all that I could reasonably ask for. Fixing intermittent problems isn't easy. Material Disclosure: I should make it clear that I know the Perrys Chairman (that's visible on LinkedIn). I didn't make a song and dance of this during the purchase, or when we had a problem. I didn't feel that we had special treatment. We didn't have people asking to make sure they were mentioned for good service, for example. read more

I've had only good experiences with Perrys MK and I have been dealing with them for over a year now. My beloved Rover's gearbox decided that enough was enough in the middle of Bedford town centre and I didn't know what to do. My sister had recently bought a 206 from Perrys and suggested that I should give them a call. I travel a lot for work and needed a car for the following day. This was not a problem, they leased me a 206cc at, what I considered, a very reasonable rate, to fix my immediate need. Later I purchased a 307cc from then that puts a smile my face each time the sun is out! lol. I had a small problem with the radio CD player. I called them up to see if there was anything they could do and they told me to bring it in and they would check it out. It took them about 45 minutes to fix. Service was with a smile and they even cleaned it for me! :-) Other than that I have had nothing go wrong with either car and I have nearly completed 25,000 miles in the 307 read more

There seems to be a mixed bag of reviews here. I personally fall into the category of those people who have had a good experience purchasing a car from Perrys. I needed to buy a new car and had pretty much decided that I wanted a Ford Focus and that it should be a year old so that I don't pay a premium for it being brand new. I saw one at Perrys in Bletchley but the price was a little high for my liking. The salesman asked me if I was interested and I said yes but it was too expensive. He took me for a test drive and said we could perhaps agree a lower fee. Anyway, I test drove the car and liked it so we then got to the money factor. I ended up buying the car as they were able to knock almost a thousand of the asking price. The salesman was fantastic helpful and genuinely seemed to want to help me out. read more

Like JezC I have also had a good experience using Perry's. I needed a car in a bit of a hurry and Perry's were able to help. I purchased a used Mondeo. The whole task took around 1.5 hours, including arrangeing 7 day insurance cover, 6months tax and a 12 month MoT. The car was fully valeted and they even put some diesel in it for me. Finally, after driving around for around a week I highlighted a few, minor aesthetic issues, which they have also agreed to sort out for me. I am very happy with the car and the total experience and would have no problem recommending them to my friends read more

Bought what i was lead to believe was a quality used vauxhall zafira 1.9 cdti 3 years old low mileage was over the moon. Viewed the car first on a friday evening but as it was getting dark decided to go back following morning. Justin Roberts was our sales executive at the time i thought he was a genuinely nice bloke (aren't all salesmen when they want your money), we took the car for a test drive both me and my wife drove and apart from it pulling to the left a little everything was fine. When we pulled up back at the showroom in bletchley and the car had dried itself of we had a good look round at the bodywork and their were quite a lot of what i would have called light scratches a few deep ones and two trolley dents to tailgate, both me and my wife showed a little concern about the bodywork only to be told and assured that the trolley dents could be put right and they would mop the whole car to remove the light scratches, was told as long as you cant get a finger nail in scratch it would polish out. The salesman did say that he couldn't make the car look new but would be 100 times better. Like idiots we took him at his word agreed to buy the car (paid £10,295) we agreed a deal with having guard x applied to keep the car looking nice guaranteed for 3yrs waste of money if you ask me!!!! When we arrived nearly 2 weeks later to collect the car (waited for dvla to transfer numberplate) The tailgate was up as scotch guard was drying i pulled down tailgate to check trolley dents had been fixed as agreed and found two small rust patches. Spoke to salesman and he said to see if vauxhall could put right under anti corrosion warranty if not to get back in touch. Apart from that the car looked even better than we thought it would. Getting vauxhall to fix it wasn't an option so went back to salesman and as promised he arranged for the car to be brought back and give me a courtesy car however in the mean time we did what anyone would do and hand wash our car and surprise surprise the scratches started reappearing. So we took the car to a bodywork expert who we told we've only hand washed it twice and look at it, straight away he told us black polish had been used and had not been mopped he also pointed out the the driverside rear door had been repaired at some point and that the paint had reacted to something underneath. When i took tha car to perrys to get rust patch fixed we pointed all our concerns and showed our salesman all the scratches and the back door. He apologised and said if he had seen the door before we took delivery he would have put us for a few days to get it put right, we expressed our concern and he said to give him a chance to put it right. Car was away for nearly a week and when i picked it up again it looked amazing, However 2 days later car developed engine fault and turbo kept on cutting out and warning light on dashboard, Car was returned first thing the following day and i was put back in courtesy car, car was again away for 5 days being repaired. When i spoke to our salesman he told us it was a filter or something and was now fine. Have now had the car for just over 6 weeks and scratches are starting to reappear we have signs of rust appearing where they fixed them on tailgate, a new rust patch on passenger front door has now appeared and have been told that driverside rear door still not right. Have now spoken to consumer direct who have told because we have given them the option to put things right and they haven't done this we are entitled to a refund. Have aproached perrys used car sales manager with our request which he seemed to shrug of offering us that they will put the car right once and for all. Have told him that they have now had 2 chances to mop the car properly and we want nothing less than our money back. read more

Diabolical Company. Perrys told me that (as I was on a tight budget) they would get me the best possible deal. I signed a purchase of order forms on the basis that they would bring the car in for me to have a look at before I drove away with it. I went in last Sunday to sign the finance documents (no sign of the car being on the lot yet) but they had typed my deposit down wrong, they had quoted me £450 deposit when we actually only agreed to £350. So I left without signing anything on the basis they would change the deposit amount, which would cause my monthly payment to rise. Feelling highly pressure and unhappy with the amount of money I was about to pay, I decided to shop around. Found an absolutley amazing deal with another Citroen dealer. I then called Perrys to inform them that I no longer wished to have the car we agreed on. Agatha then told me that she would speak to her manager to try and match the price of the other company and that they would get back to me later. I called them 6 times in total to try and sort out my cancelation before I finally got through and spoke to the manager Sean. He told me they could match the offer, I then turned them down as I felt uncomfortable and a lot happier with the other car company. Sean then proceeded to get angry and unproffessional and told me that he would take things further and take legal action against me. After explaining to him that there was no need as I still have the 14 day cooling of period after I signed the finance documents (which I hadn't even signed yet!) he went on to tell em that I would have to speak to his manager tomorrow when he was in. They way I was spoken to is truly appauling, Sean went on to accuse me of demanding lower payments. which I of course didn't do at all. I simply called to cancel and was offered by Agatha the chance to buy with them if they lowered they're asking price. I am now awaiting Perry's mangers call to discuss further action, unfortunately for them I work for a solicitors firm and have excellent legal advice and solicitors that have assured me I am well within my rights to cancel. It seems to me all they are interested in is the money in my pockets, not the customer care. Shame on you Perrys. P.S if I had the option of giving them a 0 star rating thats what I would have done. read more

the sales men were fantastic not too pushy and very easy to talk to. The after care was brilliant and really made you feel like they value your safety and your future custom. I don't think Iwould ever trust buying my car from anywhere else and would recommend anyone who wants a new car to go there. I got mine from the value car section but still received the same customer care if I had bought a top of the range brand new one. No detail was too small and I didn't feel like the stupid woman when i said that I didn't want a man's car they just smiled and nodded and pointed me in the right direction. read more

I was very impressed with Perrys, they provided an excellent service even though my vehicle was booked in at very short notice. My car was ready when they said it would be and the invoice was as quoted. I would recommend them to everyone. The staff are genuinely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable & very professional. They made sure that I was looked after and knew what was going on. read more
