This is the second visit to this location in two weeks. They are obviously doing something right. Tanyna is our server again. Lucky us, she is amazing. Today I chose the shrimp and cheese grits. Surprisingly delicious! I had the salmon with asparagus and rice pilaf, perfectly cooked though a little heavy on the butter. My family all enjoyed their meals. Understaffed and a little slow, but we wanted our get together to last as long as possible, so no complaints. read more

This Perkins has the worst service iv'e ever had by far. The place was empty and it took 25 minutes for a refill. It also took over 30 minutes to make breakfast. We finally got our food after the manager went back to the kitchen and said something to the cook. Go to Denny's instead! read more

Passed through on a Monday night and enjoyed the Monday free slice of pie! Our dinners were really good. The waitress and night manager Dustin were patient, kind, made direct eye contact, smiled and made sure our dinner was enjoyable. It was a nice experience and definitely would return. read more

This use to be one of our favorite family restaurants. They must have changed management because the service is now horrible. Though the restaurant was empty the waitress took a long time to take our order and then forgot us. The food wasn't as good and the FRESH baked cookies were stale. We won't be back. read more

I would give negative stars if possible. Just stopped in and hour and 20 min before close and was advised it would be a 45 min wait because there was a party of 6 a head of us. Place was dead. Clearly didn't want our money. Staff couldn't have been more rude. read more

This location is a little smaller then most Perkins and so it feels little cramped, especially if you go after church on a Sunday. Service was great. Our waitress was very friendly. I'll probably avoid going on Sundays though to avoid the craziness! read more

We went on the Sunday evening after the 4th of July and the food was pretty good, but the waitress was in another world, couldn't even hold her head up! My kiddos kept asking what was wrong with her. We even watched 2 other parties get up and leave after she brought them drinks, one woman even stated the waitress was geeking and she wasn't going to let her kiddos witness this! The Perkins located at 150 E. Van Fleet Dr., Bartow, FL, is a disaster. Only visit if you like terrible service and food. Our visit was cut short as we found it too lousy to stay. We experienced: 1. Excessive waiting while the staff spent their time chitchatting. Only one other table was occupied during our visit and, therefore, delay should not have been an issue. 2. Food orders were either incorrect and/or piecemealed during the serving process. And the food that was received was poorly cooked (burnt and mangled). 3. We did not eat. We stopped here for a quick bite after a long travel day. The restaurant atmosphere was overall very friendly. We ordered the French dip sandwich and a pancake breakfast platter. The restaurant was perhaps 1/4 full but it took a while for the server to come to the table to take the order and even longer to get the food. I had the meatloaf with corn and mash potatoes. First off service sucked! Took them about 10 minutes after sitting before I even got a chance to order a drink. When she came out with the drink it was the wrong order. Food came out 15 minutes after ordering and the fixings were decent but the gravy on the meatloaf was extremely salty. Once I requested the bill I gave her my card immediately and it took them 7 minutes just to run my card. I rarely take an hour for lunch but today I had to. This place has awesome food and affordable, best locally. But the service is slow, restaurant is dirty needs a good cleaning. Management seems scarce when needed and often I've had to look for personnel when I need something. Counter is left unattended frequently. read more

I love getting breakfast here. The everything omelette is great. The issue i have is the slow to bad service. So keep in mind it's a place to get good food just don't be in a hurry. Example last visit fifteen minutes to get coffee ten minutes for them to come back and take order. Ordered my toddler the perky bear pancakes and they looked like a short stack.
