Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a business ever. Over priced, horrible customer service, and the manager has no grip for his legal responsibility to resolve a complaint.
I took my leather jacket to them on the 24th of January and it was due by the 4th of February. In the 4th, I called and was told it wasn't ready and it would be another week. I then moved areas and the next time I was able to collect it was April 11th. The jacket had not been cleaned, and I was due to leave the country on the 14th so they offered to rush it out and said they would deliver it to me on Thursday night in time for my flight.
When it was delivered - it still had spots. They apologized and said to call when I got back in town and they would collect it for another cleaning. At this point I had little confidence in them to clean it but thy refused to give me a refund and so I had little choice. They collected it again on the 20th of April and assured me "one week" and it will be returned good as new.
I called one week later and was told "no one told you one week, it takes 2 weeks always for leather jacket cleanings" which I said was not what I had been told, and the manager very rudely said that I just had to wait. No apology, just that I was wrong and it wasn't ready.
I called 2 weeks later and asked where my jacket was, and was told they could deliver it 4 days later. This back and forth continued for weeks, them refusing to deliver at a reasonable time for me, unwilling to deliver to my work address during business hours, no apologies and adamant that they would not refund my money.
It is now nearly 6 months from the original drop off date and after being told yesterday that the jacket would be delivered today, I called this morning to confirm. I had to press to get a delivery window and was told 3-5pm. At 4:40pm I called and asked where the delivery was. I was told he was on his way and it would be there soon. I then informed him that I planned to file a complaint against him and he told me he was calling the delivery driver to tell him to come back and that I could collect my jacket from the store if I'm going to file a complaint. I told him that was blackmail, and he hung up on me.
I took a cab to the store, a 40 minute journey, and arrived at the same time the van did with my jacket in tow. I told the manager this was the last opportunity to make this right and refund my money, and he refused. I have since hired a consumer protection solicitor to pursue legal action. This manager was told over and over again that he was violating the consumer rights act of 2015 and he had a legal obligation to resolve this, and he dismissed me and said "we are not talking to you anymore". The worst part is - the jacket still has spots!!! After 6 months and countless hours I'll never get back, my jacket is STILL not done!
This business believes they are untouchable, they are not accountable to their customers and will do nothing to make it right if they mess up, and will relentlessly tell you that you are the one who is wrong about what they told you. Avoid them at all costs. read more
