As a collector of niche fragrances, I frequently travel for business and recently experienced a layover in Midland-Odessa. A search for local niche perfumeries directed me to Master Perfume in Midland Park Mall. Based on the website and customer reviews, I anticipated a boutique environment; however, the space did not meet that expectation. Although a few niche brands were present, certain items--such as YSL's Babycat--appeared to have packaging inconsistent with authentic products. The sales associate was courteous and offered helpful recommendations based on personal preferences. The website advertised a pH-based fragrance assessment to determine compatibility, but this service was largely unavailable at this location. They advertise they are the cheapest around. LIEEEESSS!! They sold me a perfume I never bought before for $80 when online it's $22 at Walmart!!!! They told me my usual (flowerbomb) was $120 compared to $99 at Dillard's. Outrageous!! I will NEVER buy perfume here again. read more
