Disappointing. I reached out to Travis via email and text and never got a response from him. Not a great way to run your business.....

The tutor, Kate was great, but the owner, Kilee is terrible to work with. She does not treat…read moreclients with respect if issues with billing/scheduling arise. She handles issues with a blaming, shaming and condescending approach. She has no customer service skills and an inability to use positive, empathetic language when needed. I would avoid the frustration and check out Wasatch Tutors who have 40 Google reviews and all of them gave a 5 star rating.

Our priority is for your child to gain confidence in their math skills by helping them learn in a way that fits them best! I started Math Matters Tutoring after privately tutoring kids from ages 7-18 for the past 5 years. I personally know what it feels like to be crying over my math homework at the table and neither of my parents knowing how to help me, and that’s why I started this business. I understand how important it is to have an instructor that explains math concepts in a way that is best understood by the student. I am a senior majoring in math at the University of Utah after transferring from BYU where I had the opportunity to swim at the collegiate level. I maintained a 4.0 gpa all four years of high school and was a state swim champion swimmer. These experiences have taught me how to manage my time through long hours of practice and study. I understand the struggles youth face everyday in and out of the classroom. As the owner and head tutor I personally train all tutors to ensure the best quality of guidance for our students. Veritas Prep On Demand (online self-paced) Review: I only…read morehad about 2 months before taking the GMAT for the first time and was looking for a quality course with the flexibility to study on my own schedule. I put in about 3 hours a day for 2 months, taking a break for Thanksgiving and the week leading up to my test. Before the course I took an official GMAC practice test and two days later took a Veritas practice test that ended up 60 points lower. During the course, I slowly improved and my 3rd and last practice test with Veritas matched my original GMAC practice test. Most students score within about 30 points of their highest score, and I felt that would be the case as I was taking the test. To my surprise, I actually improved another 60 points over my prior best score (+120 from my first Veritas practice test), landing me comfortably in the middle of Top 10 school scores. While I haven't taken another course to compare it to, including their classroom option, Veritas Prep On Demand was everything I was hoping for. In fact, I passed up another classroom course a friend was taking that was half the price because of what Veritas offers. It was flexible: I could take it at 5 a.m. or midnight, for 10 minutes or 6 hours. It was digital: I felt like it was as close to the actual test experience as possible. It was highly rated on Beat the GMAT and GMAT Club forums. I also loved the year of access just in case the score hadn't turned out as I hope. But it did! I hesitated at first because of the price being higher than almost any other program I looked at, but being on the other side now, it was worth it for me!
