I was on my way with friends of mine and we just got out of "Rum Depot" right around the corner, so we were really pleased to see decent rum on their menu as well to tackle our thirst for rum. Once this was settled my friends - who have been here before - recommended the Octopus-Avocado-Salad and "OH MY!" what a salad this was... I was sceptical because I had a lot of average Octopus and if I am not by the ocean I am in doubt ... But this was possibly THE BEST bit of octopus I have ever tried! I followed up with the "Camarones Enchiladas" and tried pieces of the "Spanferkel" which were both great dishes but the star was the Octopus salad! They have a really small but great menu... This restaurant is amazing. I consider myself to be a very picky eater, and the ropa vieja at this restaurant was one of the best I have ever had. I usually never order ropa vieja at any restaurant I go, just because I'm used to the way my mom makes it, but since I was craving some cuban food, I decided to give this a chance, and boy was I right. It was delicious, reminded me of my mom's cooking. I think I made my mom a bit jealous when I told her I loved someone else's ropa vieja. Another thing that I loved at this place was the Cuba Libre. It was perfect, and made with actual cuban rum. Since cuban rum is not really allowed in the states, this was a blessing. It was delicious, definitely recommend it. I spoke a little with the owner, and he was very nice. In conclusion, if you are in Berlin, do yourself a favor and go visit this restaurant. You will not regret it! read more

Came here with 2 friends. All of us ordered a meal and a cocktail. We all were still hungry when we left and had to stop for a second dinner. If you are looking for good quality and quantity for your money, this is not the place to come. Actually, I've eaten a lot of Latin American food and I'm not even quite sure how true to actual Cuban food this is. My boyfriend noticed they had an Italian email address. Also, I ordered a margarita and the lady served me a mojito. Don't be fooled by the attempt to be a trendy international restaurant. The food tasted fine. read more

Yumm yumm yumm!! Spent two days sightseeing in Berlin and on our first night we found this jewel in the neighborhood of Schöneberg. The Ropa Vieja was delicious. The best part however was dessert: you have to try the Creme Brûlée!! It's made with coconut and it was out of this world! The waitress was also super nice, I can definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for authentic Cuban cuisine. read more

My wife and I learned of the huge Cuban population that resides in Berlin, and we thought to ourselves there must be a Cuban restaurant that would bring us back to the Caribbean. Pequeña Habana did not disappoint; in fact, it exceeded our expectations. The taste of the Yuca con Mojo was as if my grandmother made it, the Ropa Vieja con Tostones was a tantalizing preview for the Ropa Vieja plate that came after it. I've been to this restaurant twice now and the service was always super friendly. I wouldn't expect huge portions but it's definitely enough, if you don't go in there almost starving. The wine menu is nice as well, we had the Nero d'Avola and it was great. The food is simply amazing and you get things served that you don't alway get. It was pretty decent food, maybe a little bit over priced for my taste, but good overall. The huge problem was with dessert, the flan with caramel was really disastrous: the flan on its own would have been great, but the caramel was ridiculously burnt, really, completely uneatable. And after scraping the caramel sauce and eating around the edges of the flan, we asked if it went wrong, and we got a positive answer from their part, that indeed the sauce got messed up. After this admission they still charged us for it without any type of courtesy to make things better. That, in my book, is a big no-no, in a restaurant. read more

My husband and I recently visited this restaurant during our honeymoon in Europe. It was hands down the best Cuban food we've have ever had. Just delicious! You can tell that the chef puts a lot of love into it. We learned that the chef is the owner and originally from Cuba. so that makes total sense. And all the dishes are traditional and beautifully prepared. Even the beans were perfect. Ernesto, the waiter, was fantastic. He took the time to tell us more about life in Berlin.
