The hotel is located on Karl Liebknecht Straße, which is south of the city center, but easily within walking distance. I did not use any public transportation or taxis at all during this trip except to get to the airport. I was able to walk everywhere easily while staying at this hotel. However, if you are not a big walker please note it is maybe a 20 minute walk from the hotel to the city center where most of the attractions are.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and there were no problems either at check in or check out.
The hotel was very clean and seemed kind of modern looking. Rooms were small, but I would say they were slightly larger than what I would normally get in a German hotel for the price I was paying (from 44 to 54 Euros a night). This price is excellent for what you get here.
The breakfast is an extra 11 Euros per night. I got the breakfast and it was worth it. It was pretty much the standard German breakfast with a nice selection of fresh rolls, cheese, cold cuts, and eggs. They did have scrambled eggs, which you don't see everywhere.
The only real problem I would say with the hotel was that the wifi did not have the greatest signal or strength, and required you to re-logon every time you started a new session on your device.
The television was good quality with many channels provided, with some in various non-German languages.
The area directly around the hotel is great. There are loads of very nice cafes, restaurants, and bars right on Karl Liebknecht Straße. There's also an Aldi supermarket about a block away. The room had a little refrigerator, which was nice to store a few items I got from he store.
