I found the Cottbus Christmas market to be pleasant but would not recommend stopping to make a special trip for it and in the future I would have gone direct to Goerlitz. The hotel itself was in a 5 start location being across from the Cottbus train station and convienent to two separate tram lines useful for getting to the old town. Although the hotel shows some age it is still in fine shape and the pool is a good one.

Of course, I go for the cheap prices (otherwise I would go to the 5-Star hotels). Anyway, the value I get for my money is great. Here in Belgium you pay twice the amount and get a service which is much worse. So given the low prices I can rate the Ahorn-Hotel only as excellent. Thomas
