The front desk staff and management lacks a touch of customer service that is essential for a pleasant stay. They refuse to help or transfer your call to someone who is willing to help. I am a travel agent who booked a Level Premium Suite with terrace for our valued client's honeymoon. Upon check in the clients were only given a premium room since that is what their system showed and even though they were presented with voucher proof of the type of room we had our clients booked for, they refused to look at it or be willing to provide an immediate solution. Us as an agency would have been willing to pay the necessary difference in cost (even thought a suite price was already paid for when we made the reservation) to fix this situation for our client's immediately. But Jemma at front desk refused to help and simply kept repeating to me that all she can do is provide us with an email address for us to send our issue to and would most likely not have a response until the next day. When i asked to speak to her manager Angelo, she refused saying that he didn't assist these kind of issues. If he isn't willing to fix issues with his guest's stay, then what is he there for? Very disappointing that there was no willingness to cooperate to make our client's happy and give them the room type they paid for. They now have to stay the night in the incorrect room as we sort this issue out by email. We send clients to this property almost every week and given the way this issue was handled we will now look for an alternative property in Granada when our clients travel here. We never had issues with the other bookings but we need to rely on places that are willing to provide our clients with immediate and proactive solutions to the problems that could arise and this is not a place we can trust on.

This is a tough one to assign a score because I don't know what Melia's min standards for customer…read moreattention, room condition and front desk support are/ or should be in Spain or Europe. If these markets aren't an important revenue segment to the corporation, or concern for impact on the brand as a whole, or not a blip on the CCxOs radar, then Maybe I get it. I've been delighted in my stays at hotels bearing the Melia name in the Americas and was partly why it was chosen. Melia Granada couldn't, in my opinion., have a better location In the part of city that caters to the ultra Luxury brand consumer and Gourmand. It is also a two block walk to access historic arabesque market corridors and mosque/cathedrals half a millennium old or more. It is not walking distance to Alhambra so you know, it would be a major hike for the enthusiast also because of the elevation gain. Their restaurant/bar have a wonderful Lux feel and their wait staff are exceptionally friendly, accommodating and professional in their duties. You will notice the difference and enjoy the food and attention given at the Garbo. Use the elevator that's off the restaurant for fastest access to your floor btw. Corridors are clean and comfortable and rooms are large for euro standards. They are also very very clean. And have new style laminate flooring not carpet and painted walls not wall-paper. If you suffer from allergies you will appreciate that. I did, and normally suffer during Hotel stays. Security/Safety, Service and good night's sleep are the main reasons I come to a hotel. And I felt safe at the property. Our mattress was essentially a box-spring. There is no quilt top or memory foam top to dampen Contact with hips/pelvis/elbows. I know this was not right, but the front desk didn't see problem. our teenage kids in the adjoining room a had soft beds with the necessary configuration to make it so but that couldn't be admitted to, nor accommodated. (Fully Booked Hotel) Everything else was just consistently european-normal or a notch above. I wish there was valet parking. If I could book the teaser rate they advertised I'd stay here again provided I could check the bed or switch rooms for a softer bed if I wasn't happy.

STRONGLY RECOMMENDED and Fantastic stay in Grenada. I would not have picked any other place to stay…read moreat Grenada for my wife and I. First, the service was exemplary. David, a front desk attendant, was super friendly and gave us super helpful recommendations for modes of transportation, restaurants, and other activities. And he was just always warm, kind, and patient with our many requests. Juan, one of the waiters during breakfast time, was always so patient and timely with our requests. We kind of felt we established relationships with the staff at the end. The hotel is beautiful. You feel like you are in Spain in the hotel. The plaza is so peaceful to have a meal or just to relax. The are several beautiful rooms and the hotel has a interesting history. The rooms are comfortable. I liked the bathroom because it's spacious and the bed was super comfortable. The only thing to consider is that only one hotel room has an outdoor space. We had dinner and breakfast. The dinner was good. Food was somewhat flavorful but again, the ambiance is fantastic and relaxing. Service was warm, patient, and timely. This is one of the few breakfast places nearby that provides comprehensive choices and an American style breakfast. The breakfast is tasty. The price includes both a buffet and menu choices. The only slight concern is the breakfast is approximately $30 per person which is very expensive compared to other options in the area and outside the area. I strongly recommend for any visitor to Granada to consider this hotel.

How many can say they stayed at such a historic place? Loved our room overlooking the courtyard. Was quiet even though we were on the main thoroughfare. Our room was cleaned regularly, the daily breakfast was fresh, the service was spectacular! Food is absolutely amazing here! I mean mouth watering fresh! Service is as good as it gets. We would definitely stay here again!

LOVED this hostel. Staff were wonderful!!!…read more Was on a solo trip in Europe and booked this place for 2 night and in the end I decided to stay for an extra night because Granada is amazing and so is Oasis. If you are a solo travel, I would recommend this place, you will be able to meet lot of people during siesta staff and other travelers will hang around in the rooftop. I only wished there was enough people to go on the Nevada tour when I was there. But too bad there were not enough people to rent the van for the trip. Be mindful that when you are searching for this place. You will need to go into a small alley on the left if you are walking up from the main street. It is pretty safe there, but you might miss it, if you aren't paying attention. And if you have heavy luggage you might have a bit trouble walking to this place since there is stone floor though out the Albacin area. ( you cannot take the taxi there, there is not car traffic that will stop right in front of it) So you will need to lift up your luggage every step, if you don't want to break it. But I LOVED this place, giving it four stars because I had to lift my luggage !

There's a rooftop deck that's perfect for laying out, enjoying the sun, sipping on wine. It's fantastic. Their dinner parties are a fun way to get to know the other travelers. The food was surprisingly very good [we were there for Indian curry night], and it's usually ridiculously priced [very low!] since it's aimed at the low budget traveler. Yum! The hostel is in a central location, easy to find. It's just a few steps off of Caladeria Nueva and a short hike up some stairs for the best view of the Alhambra [Mirador San Nicolas] at sunset. Everything else is within walking or bussing distance. There's free luggage storage, free lockers in the rooms, and several computers available for internet access. If the bathroom in your room is in use, there's one downstairs next to the kitchen!
