A functional training rack with battle ropes and boxing! Many more machines and cardio equipment. Really a great gym in the city centre. They also have 10 pin bowling! About 8 lanes and a full stocked and licensed bar with food! I personally think it's a good deal price wise. About £5 to bowl £3 a beer. They have a coffee breakfast combo. I M yet to eat here. There is also a new rock climbing and kids soft play. I have never used either. I did however use the old bouldering gym and for a novice like me I found it really good! Worth checking out!

I can comment on thé…read morefollowing: *children's soft play area - this was great. £3 each and the kids can play until they are exhausted or hungry. Since I was there when no one else was, my kids took me up to the top and we went down the slide together. I can say from personal experience that it is a fun place to play. Note that it can get loud when a group exercise class is in session next door. *kiddie small pool - this is a nice pool that is shallow enough to suit most younger kids. It is warm and there is a box of pool toys, including pool noodles. There is a lifeguard on duty though children must also be accompanied by an adult. My kids enjoyed this several times over the last few weeks. *larger lap pool - this pool is also great. It is kept at a perfect temperature that doesn't shock the system when you get in but isn't too warm if you are doing laps. Lane swim times can get crowded on occasion, so reserve your spot by calling or fumbling through the awkward website. *bouldering climbing area - this is alas the one downside to the whole facility. As someone who boulders at a bouldering gym several times a week I have to say that this is not a bouldering wall. It is an area with some holds screwed into wall completely higgly-piggly by someone with no experience setting climbing routes. There are no set routes. The colors mean nothing, the holds are not set appropriately to climb from floor to ceiling in any fashion, and you can't climb the overhang ceiling section at all as the holds are incorrect for that type of slope. I also feel that the mat underfoot is too hard to appropriately break a fall from the top of the walls. I strongly recommend to the staff of the facility to invite a bouldering route setter in to re-do the walls with coherent routes that abide by climbing conventions for route colors.

An hour on the football court is £36 - I dont know how they can warrant a charge like that or the hire of some floorboards and literally no service. Plus there is no air conditioning and the place is like an oven. I was gonna start swimming regurlarly but found out its over £3 a swim, now I cant understand why that price is so high either? to swim every day works out at around £60 a month which you could get membership to a really good gym for that! All in all I do use the place just because I need to but if there was an alternative nearby I would go for it!

It is the most vile and horrific place I have ever been. The staff are nothing short of rude and…read moreobnoxious, especially the reception staff! All of which have a bad attitude! I have been taking my girls swimming for about a year now because of convenience and it never gets any better. The place is filthy. The changing rooms are disgusting, they are never regularly checked and I have not seen them cleaned once. On my latest visit (25.8.17) I had a member of reception be totally rude, a fitness team member scream like a banshee at me across the room because I walked through the barrier instead of the turnstile (a disgusting way to speak to anyone let alone a customer) there was wet swim nappies on the floor when I first went in the changing rooms. I took my girl to the toilet (also filthy) wet toilet roll on the floor in each cubicle and the entire floor soaked. When going back into the changing room to get dry I pulled the baby change down to dry my 1year old and 3 wet urine soaked nappies on the tray. Bins are totally sticky with hairs stuck on and full to the top. I was there at 9.30am. Clearly hadn't been emptied from the day before. I would urge anyone not to use this leisure centre and go elsewhere if possible.

I sat my Open University Latin examination here a couple of years ago so my experience of this…read morevillage hall will be a little different than most people's! :-) However I can vouch for the fact that it's a spacious and smart village hall with excellent facilities and ample parking in its own car park. It seems to have plenty of things going on throughout the year, for example there is a production called 'French Fancies' being staged in April and in the past there have been ceilidhs, singers, plays, firework displays, fundraising coffee mornings and more. Various clubs meet there including Blackpool Flower Club and Blackpool Fencing Club as well as the local youth club. Basically it is an excellent facility for any community to have and it's great to see it being used by so many people.
