For young children, being removed from their school environment is not just a logistical change, it's a significant emotional disruption. That part did not seem to be considered in how the situation was handled. I'm sharing this so other parents are aware: If your financial situation changes, there may be limited options, and the outcome can be immediate. We have been a Chapin family for eleven years…read more My older daughter had attended Chapin since pre-k and graduated last year. She was more than ready to take on the challenges of secondary school. Her freshman year was an academic success! Throughout her years at Chapin, she has grown to be an independent, well-rounded individual. She's not afraid to email teachers about assignments, ask questions when she is uncertain about something discussed during class, or voice her opinion about anything. We owe those positive attributes to Chapin. My younger daughter has also attended Chapin since pre-k. She continues to amaze us with how much she's learned in just a short amount of time. We owe that to the excellent Chapin teachers who not only educate their students but also care about their growth and development. My husband and I are excited for my little one to experience all that Chapin has to offer in the coming years. Chapin is an extraordinary school. The decision to send our children here is one of the best decisions that my husband and I have ever made.

This is the location of Holland Middle School, a part of the Council Rock School District. While my…read moreson is not a student here, he does play basketball as part of the Council Rock Basketball Association. The 7th grade teams play here on weekends. The facility is large enough for two full courts, and it is used morning 'til late afternoon on Sundays to fit in all the teams playing in this age bracket. Like most public schools in the lower grades, it lacks bleachers. Parents stand/sit around the edge of the courts to watch their kids play. The referees are local people trained in wearing black and white stripes and a whistle. They do an excellent job keeping the games under control, especially given the reality that most of these boys and not yet developed into skilled athletes. They don't call every foul or violation, because the game would never be completed it they did that. They let the game go and try to allow everyone to have fun while they compete. Thanks to all the volunteers who coach, keep time and score, and maintain the facilities for the rest of us. Kudos to the parents for coming out and letting their kids play the game without parental interference. It is good to see everyone again this season.

The teachers, the faculty and the coaches here are a joke. The information they post within their school and on their website about a "no bullying" policy is a lie.
