They not only offer great food and service, but an experience at their restaurant. Phenomenal wines! Lovely evening with great food, music and friends .

OMG what a great experience and history lesson, we had the privilege to get a tour and learn some history of both Penn Harris hotel locations. After the tour we had a 5 course meal with wine pairing for each meal and every dish was amazing! Before the meal started I enjoyed a drink called Italian Cloud (An Italian twist on the French Martini using a Italian made raspberry dessert wine, vanilla infused vodka and pineapple juice to create a delightfully creamy refreshing martini) Bread Basket VEG -VGN* Focaccia, Whipped Ricotta, Tomato Jam, Roasted Garlic Panzanella VEG-VGN* Spring Mix, Butternut Squash, Brussels Sprouts, Red Onion, Croutons, Dried Cranberries, Chai-Apple Vinaigrette Duck Glazed carrots, mashed potatoes Dessert, homemade tiramisu There are renovations currently taking place and what I saw was amazing this will be a popular venue destination soon. Staff were very polite and friendly. Kitchen staff ready know what they're doing, The hostess did an awesome job describing every dish. They also have a pianist to help you relax and enjoy your meal.

They were upgrading many of the rooms during our stay in mid-Dec. The hotel at this location was built in the 1960's and there are many artifacts in the remodeled lobby of the original hotel. The staff was very friendly. There are no elevators so you must walk up some stairs to get to rooms on the second floor. The lobby was decorated tastefully for the holidays. Would highly recommend the restaurant Mercato Mio inside the hotel. We had dinner and breakfast there and the service and food were amazing. There is also a very cozy bar area in the hotel adjacent to the restaurant.

I came to the hotel for an event and ate at Mercado Mio. This was my experience: The staff were SO KIND! They were knowledgeable and very passionate. There was also a pianist that was so talented and has been playing at that establishment for decades. He was such a pleasure to listen to. Before dinner, there is a side bar that has a very charming and speakeasy vibe. Loved sitting in there and feeling like I was in the flapper era. The drinks were amazing...the bartenders really knew what they were doing. I got this delicious drink with lemoncello and a new gin that I have never had that made the drink purple! Then, we started the food and wine pairing. I had some great and some slight improvements this experience. The first course was homemade focaccia bread, which I did enjoy...just wished there was more of it for a first course. I did enjoy the wine that was paired with it though! The second course was a very delicious arugula salad with yummy fall flavors and I loved the pesto addition, but it was missing a savory aspect, like feta or goat cheese crumbles. Being an Italian restaurant, I thought we may have a pasta course, but it was another salad. I do love Brussels sprouts, but this salad had too much bacon, which overwhelmed the dish a little. I did LOVE the main course even though it did take a little longer to come out than expected. They cooked the duck perfectly. There was a sweet port reduction sauce that really complimented the fatty duck and the garlic confit potatoes were icing on the cake! The chef really outdid himself with this one. Lastly, we had tiramisu for dessert. It had all the right notes of flavor, but the lady diners could have soaked longer because they were harder. I did love the mascarpone topping though! I do want to preface that the chef staff was very small and they were serving 60 people for this event on top of another event I. The convention center. On that caliber, they did a good job...just wished they could have fixed the short staff for the kitchen because there were some longer than expected waits.

Nicely updated rooms. Excellent service and great flavors in the restaurant. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The pianist, Bob Barry, was beyond talented. His set included some familiar pieces as well as some he wrote. The atmosphere was lovely.

I had a wonderful evening at the Penn Harris hotel. The staff was very attentive and the customer service exceeded my expectations. The food was divine and the kitchen staff as well as the bartenders were amazing! I definitely recommend a stay here and if I must recommend something-definitely try their fine dining! :)

This is what was on my pillow when I removed the pillow case. I took it to the front desk immediately. All I got was an apology.

This hotel is the worst. They do not clean at all. And when I told the manager about what I found in my room all he did was apologize with no offer of compensation. If you want a clean place to rest this is not it.

Please avoid this place at all costs- rooms smell moldy, infested with bugs, and customer service is horrible. Spend your money elsewhere.

The beds are the normal full/queen size. They were comfortable and so were the pillows (which is huge for me because I forgot my pillow and was thankful these were comfy). There is a small refrigerator and microwave and that was a plus since we were staying longer than 2 nights. The bathroom was a nice size (I would appreciate some drawer or under counter space though). It came equipped with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Cleaning rooms is every other day, or upon request. I have to say I appreciated the closet size. Although, the light in our closet did not automatically turn off as it is supposed to. I asked a cleaning woman and she didn't know either. (I did forget to let the front desk know). It could use a little more drawer space or more depth for the drawers. (my personal opinion though). The breakfast was way better than we have had before in other places. They had waffles you can make, assortment of bagels/muffins, scrambled eggs, some meat and or breakfast sandwich, oatmeal, cereals, fruit, juices, milk (they did run our of chocolate milk the days we were there) and of coarse coffee and tea. There is also a bar, which is nice for those of us who like a cocktail. Ample seating for kids and adults in the lobby area. The workout room is accessed by room key and you can fill your water bottles in here. It was nice and clean and cool (a/c). This location was convenient for us. There is a Trader Joe's out front, A Texas Roadhouse, Chick-Fil-A and a mall across the freeway. It was very easy to get in and out of. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking in the area.

Hotel Bar Review: Central Pennsylvania Hilton…read more My reviews are different. I do not announce myself or tell anyone my purpose; I am simply here to provide a review! Yesterday, when I went to court, there was no "partisan ferocity." I believe that is what made me so upset--my hearing had to be rescheduled, leaving me with extra time to hang around Central Pennsylvania. On the plus side, it gave me time to leave a few beautiful reviews. I walked right over to the Hilton because I didn't want to waste the parking I had already paid for. I went in to order an Old Fashioned. I visited this place before the New Year and had one then, but it seems nothing is ever quite like the first time. This was my third time having this drink here. The first time was amazing; it was made to absolute perfection, and I fell in love with it. As I have said in my previous reviews, I don't drink to get drunk--I drink for the taste. That is exactly what I was looking for this time, but the drink was watered down. I couldn't taste the citrus, the bitterness, or the sweetness I expected. I don't know if it was the atmosphere or the mood, but I attribute the quality to the bartender. He gave me no eye contact while I was inside the establishment. I tried to initiate small talk, and still, there was no eye contact, so I place the disappointment on him. The other staff members were very nice, which was great. I was there midday before the lunch hour, which made the environment more enjoyable. I turned a negative into a positive by sitting outside to enjoy the nice weather and a beautiful cigar. (If you want to find a good cigar spot, check out my other reviews to see where I normally get mine!) I tried to pair this drink with my cigar, but it disappointed me; it did not compliment the cigar at all. It didn't do what I needed it to do, which was provide a great taste. My Ratings: Atmosphere: 4.7/5 Bartender Experience: 2.7/5 Drink Quality/Consistency: 2.5/5 It is all about consistency. As a customer, I feel the experience should always be top-tier. I hope my review helps you make your decision on visiting this establishment.

Another pro is that the staff are very nice and they even called up to my room after I got in to make sure everything was okay. I also think they have a nice lobby and restaurant/lounge area. The cons is that the rooms are small and rather dated. It's also a little loud if your room is facing second st. Overall, it's an okay stay, I just think it needs a little bit of an update.

But those are about the only redeeming qualities. The first room I checked into, the HVAC unit sounded like a jet plane getting ready to takeoff. The second room had an odor about it - - a mixture of old smoke and the ozone treatment they used to try to purify the air. Within 30 minutes I felt like someone was standing on my chest because the air quality was that horrible. Moreover, both of those rooms were so small that you could not open the hotel room door if the bathroom door was open. Room three put me up on the 10th floor that was more spacious, but the HVAC unit had to run constantly. It was either on or off and when you turned it on for heat, the dust smell was overpowering. I had to leave it off overnight, so my allergies wouldn't trigger an asthma attack and I woke up to a 62° room. If I tried to sit in the chair by the HVAC unit, the musty smell was overpowering. Let's talk about housekeeping now. They did come to my room every day and pick and chose what they did. They never made the bed, would take some towels, but not others. But they did empty the trash. The fitness room appears pretty solid. However, pick your equipment wisely as some of the treadmills are on the same runway as that HVAC unit noise canceling headphones were definitely in order. The staff I encountered were friendly enough, but they were obviously annoyed with me for complaining. Checking out was definitely the most pleasurable part of my stay.
