I told them the place had a ring camera the rude employee at Carolina beach told me they had proof I asked to see the proof turns out she never even saw the footage. So basically anything the property owner says no one checks so you have no protection. She said she would get the proof and call me back a few hours later I got a generic text saying they issued a refund. It's been a week I still don't have a refund and still fighting with them. The rental is pelican pointe. Do not rent that unit the owners lied! Oh and when we got into the unit the electric in the back bedroom wasn't working had to get help with that. The stove has duck tape on it holding it together. The upstairs toilet didn't flush properly. The TVs didn't work. I never said anything because me and my kids were so happy to be at the beach we just made the best of it. But the way they have treated me has been so unprofessional.

There was zero view of the beach from our rental and only a tiny sliver of a view several doors down where you could see a little piece of ocean water that was way beyond the waves. The interior of our rental was nicely, remodeled and apparently not too long ago, and most of it was in good or very good condition. However, not having the promised view really took most of the fun out, of our enjoyment since we always like to spend time watching the waves and the people going up and down the beach. Too bad we couldn't see any of that because of the tightly grouped houses blocking our view.

(Our dog is still unemployed and some of these companies charge up to $300!!!) I reserved a property online late Saturday evening and received a call from a representative at 0900 on Sunday. I wish I remembered the lady's name but she was friendly, helpful, and was able to answer all of my questions about the property. We received an email 3 days prior that the property would be ready by 4:30 pm (the usual time is 4:00 pm) I wondered why it was 30 minutes later but we never manage to get the beach before check in time anyway. We were informed that the door code would be provided the day of check-in. We received an early text at at 3:00 pm that the property was ready! We have been vacationing at Carolina Beach for several years. Our property, Tide & Seek was hands down one of the CLEANEST we have ever rented. (I travel with my own cordless vacuum and cleaning supplies - yes I am that kind of special.) It was so nice to not have to clean while unpacking! There was a nice 3 ring binder with all property and local information and little cooler bag with a few extra starter items (paper towels, trash bags, and tissue paper) which are always appreciated. I also liked the fact that I could opt to bring my own towels and linens to save a few dollars instead of having them added to the rental price. Be sure to sign up to receive their emails with specials. They have been running great promos offering gas cards, % off, and offering short stays. Every little bit counts ... so you can go get more Britt's Donuts! We had an issue with our stove a few days into our trip. I called the office and a very nice maintenance guy came out right away. A second electrical repair guy came out a little later, figured out the wiring issue, and was back with part before lunch! He was super nice and very knowledgeable about the area. Talk about fantastic customer service!! We loved pet friendly, Tide & Seek so much that we are already planning to rent the property for our next vacation! The location of the property was unbeatable - it was waterfront and you were literally 30 steps away from the beach. The ocean views were fantastic (see the attached photos) and you could hear waves rushing to the shore all day long. There's also a balcony with a table and chairs where you could enjoy breakfasts or dinners and stare at the Atlantic Ocean. The unit itself was big and was 50/50 updated. The living room was pretty modern but bathroom wasn't. The kitchen cabinets were new but appliances were old. Overall, the condo was pretty spacious, cozy, and it had everything you needed. The only things that could make our stay better would be: - Cleaner floors. I walked around the apartment barefoot and there was sand and other dirt particles in all rooms. - Quieter HVAC. The unit seemed to have an old A/C system and when it was on, it was pretty loud. It would be great to have a quiet airflow system as I think sometimes it was louder than the waves outside. - A Smart TV. The TV in the living room didn't have Netflix or other streaming services - only cable. It's not really that big of a deal as you have amazing vistas outside and a plenty of places to go, but if you thought about relaxing and watching your favorite movie in the evening you're out of luck. Taking everything into account, you are getting great value for the money. This unit was definitely not as expensive as some other waterfront condos and I'd definitely recommend renting it. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and we would definitely come back next time we are visiting Wilmington!

Your family member reported the bites the day before checking out. You were in the house 6 days and nights with no bites. The guests prior to you and after you had no problems at all. In fact, no one has had any problems in the cottage. At the time Sea Lice were rampant in the ocean. You, yourself, told us she (bite victim spent several hours in the ocean the day of the bites). Sea Lice bites look very much like bedbug bites. Also, neither housekeeping or any other guests has reported any mildew. We strive to keep our guests happy and have families that have stayed with us every year for decades. We ARE NOT LIARS and don't appreciate being called such. Granted this is a Pet Friendly rental; I would expect that since I was told at 415pm that our rental was not ready, the cleaning crew has been cleaning the home since 630 that morning. My husband and I normally bring our dog but she passed away. The home was advertised as having a nice grill and nice yard. Well my husband bought us some brisket burgers and hot dogs for the 4th of July; opened the grill there were hundreds of large roaches with a rotting smell. Not water bugs, Roaches! So we fried the burgers! The shower had nasty moldy towels. Furniture was covered in dog hair. Shower had a bad leak, the roof had a leak and the house just smelled so moldy! Very unhappy!
