I'm not going to complain about another Peets in the world.. its such a step up up UP from the 'bucks.. And I love the matcha powder Peets is now carrying. I don't have it in the freddo, this is actually a very special tea and I like to taste it all-by-its-lonesome so i ask for a few scoops of it and hot water. That said, this isn't my favorite Peets. First the wireless is spotty. But more, its just not cosy.. I know, its in a strip mall.. so maybe expecting cosy is expecting too much. But i've tried to settle in and work here some, and its just too transient with poor seating to really acoomodate. I'll stick w/ Peets in Los Altos where the homey feel pervades. read more

Love this place!!! I get my coffee/oatmeal here every day, I like to pour some milk on my oatmeal so, today I asked Amanda (I seen her there perhaps a couple times) if I can have steamed milk instead of hot water in my oatmeal, to my surprise Amanda say NO!!! I she suggested I use the cold milk at the counter instead, Really? Cold milk? Didn't think thisi was gonna be an issue at all, but Amanda say she can't do it cause the oatmeal does not cook right. My mom always used milk instead of water for oatmeal, not to mention I have work in the food industry for over 20 years. So I know my customer service and YES you can use milk instead of water to cook your oatmeal. I will continue to visit Pete's @ Sunnyvale. I realized how much everyone loves this location and trust me I do too, but my request wasn't out of this world. read more

I have written 3 reviews for this Peet's. I started with a 1 star, complained to their customer service, and moved them back up to 5 stars as they worked hard to ensure that their freddos tasted as good as I remember. I really do like some of the people who work there, so this is hard for me. I have downgraded them again because in the last 5 times I have visited their store, 3 of those times, I had them remake my drink before it tasted correct. The last time I visited this store, they made my drink 3 times and even after the 3rd time, the drink tasted wrong. They had the nerve to tell me that I didn't know what a dark chocolate mocha freddo tasted like and they offered me a vanilla freddo instead. I have visited this store for well over 5 years. I know what a drk choco freddo is supposed to taste like. I will no longer go to this store. I gave them a chance and I really wanted to give them 5 stars. The next day, I went to the Rivermark Peet's instead and the freddo they made was perfect. read more

Just like any peet's, but not a good place to study. Loud and very limited tables (3 tables). You only get 1 hour free wifi with one purchase...Not the best peets to hang out either, but okay if you just want to grab your drink and leave. read more

I came to get my coffee beans, Fredo and a cup of Americano. I had two of those rain checks (complimentary small coffee for buying coffee beans). In my earlier visits, they took two rain checks and credited them (in fact the cashier was the one who told me that I can combine checks). Apparently that is not company policy and so this time the cashier said "You can't do that, only one" and so I said okay, I'll pay for them. Apparently she understood that as "Okay, I don't want the second coffee - I'll pay for the other items". When I went back to order the second coffee she was just rude for no apparent reason. I love Peets - but the barrista here just doesn't cut it. Whatever he/she does the decafe latte is undrinkable. Thats right - i just can't drink it . They have burned the coffee twice. I went back to give them the benefit of the doubt, but no they stuffed it up again. Won't go to this location ever. read more

First let me tell you that I'm a very big Peets coffee fan. Even my two year nephew knows what coffee I drink. So why the one star again for this Peet's Coffee place? Hmm, all I can think of is it must be me...or they (servers) know it's me coming into this Peet's coffee place. I haven't been here since my last review. Today I came in and business looked happy so I thought to myself wow, I'm going to upgrade the stars. But alas, shit got dumped on me. Asked for a pastry and the pastry kept breaking up on cashier until she was finally able to pull a whole one out (not her fault). She asked if I would like room and I said "no'. She turns and looks like she has to make a fresh batch (hmm, what a surprise...just like all the other times I come in). So I get my coffee, pastry, and left because of time constraints. I get to the car to take a sip and finally realized the cup seemed light. I open it and blam! - There was room for A LOT MORE BLACK in there!! I didn't have time to run back, stand in line, and get her to fill it up so here i sit typing away. This Peet's coffee saddens me. read more

Having a coffee break here at Starbucks is like a norm to us at the office. Here is the best baristas, they are so warm and welcoming, love coming to this one specifically. Unfortunately, the outside seating is no frills and doesn't always have clean tables. read more

I like Peet's as a rule, and the coffee and service at this location are good. The reason for the three stars is that I go around 7 in the morning, and it always feels oddly hectic. There are staff members working, but it's not really clear what they're doing because people are always waiting to be helped. It feels like they just opened, whoever had the keys got there late, and they're behind on everything. Basically, they're not busy enough to justify how long people are waiting for coffee. Just bought and tried the latest Anniversary Blend. It reminds me of an excellent Christmas/Holiday blend that they offered 2 or 3 years ago. It has hints of chocolaty, cherry taste in the mids of a rich and nicely full bodied flavor. read more

This Peet's crew has me spoiled! I know this because the one in Menlo Park is the exact opposite from this one. These are very friendly folks. They always repeat back your order, they always remember my drink and my name...even after I didn't go in for two years! They always greet you with a smile and hope that you have a good day...I believe that they mean it, too. From management on down, this crew really gets how customer service works. Not only that, I feel a real sense of community there. I have been going to this one for years and even after I moved to Santa Clara, I continue to go to this location. I used to drink tea, just about any tea so long as it was not instant or sweetened. Peet's converted me to a tea snob, however. As a tea snob, I frequent Peet's over other establishments. I don't like coffee, so any "coffee and tea" shop, café, etc. that does not offer premium tea, I avoid. As a result, I have tried out a lot of Peet's locations. By far, hands down the absolute best is the Sunnyvale location on El Camino Real. In terms of service, consistency of product, and atmosphere I am never disappointed. I have yet to encounter a single employee who was not helpful and courteous. When I order a Summer House iced tea, it has the same excellent, balanced flavor each time. My wife, who indulges in coffee, has said the same thing about every coffee, mocha, etc. that she has ordered - consistently excellent. The environment is relaxed and friendly every visit. Unfortunately, I do not always find the same commitment to excellent service and consistent brewing at other locations. I have gone out of my way to pass by Peet's locations that fall short just to get to "my" Peet's. I always recommend Peet's, but this location I recommend above all others. read more

It wasn't too busy but the barista was getting orders mixed up. Heard one person ahead of me correcting an order, should've clued me in. Ordered a large latte and she called out the wrong name so the person who ordered after me took it. When I asked her about my coffee she said the other person took it like it's their fault instead of her calling out the wrong name. I heard that person confirming the name before grabbing it. When I got mine, it was weak like it's made with a single shot of espresso. Disappointed. read more

This place is hit or miss. One saturday we had really good iced matcha green tea and iced caramel coffee. The next Saturday it was awful. We ordered a chai tea latte that was very much watered down a tasteless. Milk didn't taste like latte milk. It was disgusting. The caramel late was the same. I keep trying to convince my guy to keep going here but with the inconsistent quality of the drinks I am not pushing for this place anymore. read more

Waited for 15 minutes then I noticed people who ordered after me were already getting their drinks.. So I went back to the counter and asked for a refund. I always liked Peet's coffee and this bad review is for this specific location. Bad barista, I asked for medium Cappuccino instead he made small Cappuccino. Later he realized its medium so he poured the same to medium size cup and poured more milk to it. Coffee tasted awful. read more

Cal and I come here to get some coffee or tea, and to study. The place is narrow with a counter and a lot of small tables for people to sit at, but it's still pretty roomy. There are a couple of places where you can sit and plug in your laptop, but you need your own wireless connection if you want to surf the net. I've been getting just green tea lately, so I don't remember how the coffee tastes. There's one unisex restroom, which is kept mostly clean. The outside seating can be a bit unbearable on a sunny day because of all the concrete surrounding the area. The parking lot is a pain to enter, even though there's a ton of spots. But I like this place and it's right next to Daphne's. Yum. read more

I used to be a daily Starbucks patron, until I got pregnant, and there aren't too many menu options for me there now. So I have been on the search for decaf to satisfy my coffee craving; homemade, brands with Keurig, at various food establishments, and pretty much everywhere/anywhere/all decaf just tastes like crap..until! I finally gave Peets a try and I instantly fell in love. And not only do they make a great decaf, they make ICED DECAF! Which other coffee places don't. I am addicted to their iced latte's now, and honestly if I were given one in a blind taste test with regular coffee I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference, that is how great it is! So cheers to Peets for making great decaf, I can throw out my gold card at Starbucks because I probably won't give it much use during or after my pregnancy. read more

I love this Peets! They are so friendly and quick. Everytime I've come I've been impressed. I get coffee Togo containers once a month at least for a meeting at work and they make the process so easy. I've even called in the morning (woke up and felt like a coffee day) and they made the coffee Togo container ready for pick up in 15 minutes. the holiday flavors are here! ...and slightly disappointing. the pumpkin spice latte has more "spice" making it taste like you're drinking liquid nutmeg. I had to add cinnamon and coco to improve the taste. the eggnog soy latte wasn't that bad initially but had to improve with coco and honey to make it taste acceptable normally I like their coffee lattes with vanilla. or as my best alternative to coffee in an unfamiliar area. read more

This is my favorite Peet's near my house. Consistent drinks, great customer service (so friendly!!), easy parking...and great outdoor seats.

I only go to Peet's for their scones so i was delighted to find out that this Peet's location has a ton of scones available for you to choose from! The employees are nice and seating indoor can be a bit limited (people there like to sprawl). I would highly recommend this Peet's location for their fabulous scone selection! read more

Haven't been to this Peet's yet, but, according to the Peet's web site, this location DOES now have free wifi.

We used to go this Peets every Saturday morning to meet up with friends. Service is excellent and once I drop my coffee, they gave me a replacement. Free WIFI, very clean and spacious. Only problem we had sometimes are customer who is normally alone taking up 3 seats and a table space. One chair for bag and one chair for other stuffs. read more

Came to this location just before Christmas. I loved the vibe of the place. The jazzy music and the leather seats. My friend got a large Peppermint tea which was delicious. I got a cafe au lait. This is real coffee, folks, and delicous. The staff was friendly. The store looked great. Even the customers looked cozy as they typed on their laptops and sipped on what I imagine were cappuccinos. If you need to study outside of your house because Game of Thrones is distracting you (and the library is closed), I suggest this place. I also recommend it if you don't like the crowded atmosphere of the Starbucks next block. This store has a long table facing El Camino, next to the glass wall. Perfect for when you want to zone out during those mental breaks, because your GRE reviewer is overwhelming - no one will judge. And oh! that is, if you don't mind a dirty restroom. read more

Peets is great. Unlike starbucks it actually taste like coffee. Everyone must taste their "freddos," its a handful, but hey life is too short. I'd give it 5 stars, but one time I waited over 5 mins for my drink because WELL .. they forgot about it. I swear I'm not a brat, but when there's practically no one in the shop (I think I saw a tumbleweed rolling around) how can you forget about my drink? The employee gave me a free drink coupon to make up for it, but come on is it that hard to forget about my drink when there was literally ONLY 3 customers there? read more
