Their selection surprised me; they have everything from sake to cachaça and even moonshine. Most of what they offer is whiskey and it ranges from affordable to the REALLY good and old stuff that you only break out if you need to impress an important person. There are lots of tastings offered at a good price, too bad I can't make it to the mezcal tasting coming up! The guys working here were really nice and even ran down to the basement for me several times to check if a product was in stock. They also didn't look down at us for asking for a cheaper option and suggested some good bottles. Very good, unpretentious service and a great selection. You can even get a little tiny hotel-fridge-sized bottle for some spirits, which is excellent if you've never tried it before and would like to test it before splurging on a whole bottle. The prices can obviously be a little high but for the most part it is reasonable compared to buying duty free. You might be able to get a popular brand cheaper at the supermarket when it's on sale but for the more interesting stuff, definitely come by Juul's.

Bathrooms were clean. Not too smokey, although I believe you can smoke inside. It was pretty empty when we went at 18:00 but filled up around 23:00, which for a tuesday night is pretty impressive. I think they offer snacks based on what I saw on other tables but I will have to return in order to confirm. I first visited Shoppen last year when I wanted to get my mezcal-loving husband a birthday gift. I did a little research before I went to the store but was still overwhelmed by their selection. The gentleman working there was incredibly helpful and tried his best to recommend something in my price range. I ended up getting a sample pack of mezcals that Shoppen makes themselves and had a very happy husband. Fast forward to today, I finally got around to re-visiting Shoppen but this time with my husband in tow. Again, the gentleman working there (different from last time) was incredibly helpful and really knew his stuff. He even let my husband try a little sample before purchasing. I have to note that I have not checked out their beer section nor their other spirits, but from a glance, their selection seems to also be pretty extensive. This place is serious when it comes to spirits but they aren't pretentious. They aren't cheap either but again, they hand select (and even import themselves) each and every item in their store, so you will for sure be getting top quality stuff.
