I have made a terrible choice and purchased a pair of shoes from the pedro miralles. Never ever again!
On a positive note, the shoes arrived and they looked similar to the pictures and the size was right. Unfortunately during first wear they fell apart. I am not sure if I received a faulty item or this is a general problem with their quality but I was shocked.
I wore the shoes indoors. This embarrassing thing happened while I was walking in the office. Yup! Indoors, walking, first time ever put them on - the leather broke and I was left shoe-less. I wear high heels every single day and have never experienced anything like this. And its not a quality I would expect even if it were shoes 1/10th of the price.
And although hugely disappointed I had trust in the company and tried to contact their customer service. After a month of me chasing them I can safely say that the one thing worse than the shoe quality is their customer representative team. This was just crazy. Cannot believe this company is still in business. I received absolutely no help on the matter but many many false promises.
This is a summary of me trying to get some support on the matter:
1. I submitted a complaint via pedro miralles website (as return option on the website was not working) form referring to order number and explaining the unacceptable quality issue with the new product (I believe the date was 22nd Sep) - no reply received from Pedro Miralles
2. Second complaint by e-mail - 25th Sep - no reply received from Pedro Miralles
3. Phone call where again explaining the situation and referencing the order number I was promised by customer service representative I will receive e-mail reply immediately - phone call was 28th Sep - no one followed up from Pedro Miralles
4.Second phone call, again explaining the situation to another customer service representative. After insisting they claimed they cannot see my e-mail or any reference on the complaint in the system. During the call the same original mail was forwarded to Mila and the shop e-mail address again. Representative confirmed they received my e-mail and the photo of the quality issue during the call and I was promised again it would be followed up on immediately. After that representative hung up the call on me while I was speaking. This was on Oct 1st and still no follow up from Pedro Miralles.
5. Oct 4th - sent another e-mail asking for assistance on the matter. Received a reply from Pedro Miralles offering they will send someone to pick up the shoes/repair them and return back to me. After another e-mail trying to confirm if I understood correctly I agreed (Oct 7th) to have the shoes picked up and repaired and shared the address and possible days and time of pick up along with my phone number. Due to severe quality concerns (shoe literally fell apart with first use, during walking indoors) the repair is definitely not a great option but I was willing to accept. If the repair actually happened I can only hope the shoes will not fall apart next time I wear them. I would not feel confident going anywhere with them without having another pair of shoes as a back up. When they broke first time it was not possible to walk in them at all.
6. Although agreed on not an attractive option there was no confirmation on my e-mail. I waited a fair amount of time - from Oct 7th to Oct 17th to follow up on the matter. I gave another call to Pedro Miralles. After explaining to the customer representative I was told there is no record of my order in the system. After some more time the representative informed me that she did find my e-mail. And then she asked me to send a photo of the issue. The photo I have shared on 25th Sep and on several occasions post that. At this moment I have lost the last trace of trust and good will towards the company. And have asked for a full refund. Have also offered that post the refund I am willing to send back the shoes. However due to complete loss of trust I am no longer ok to send the shoes anywhere without any guarantee I will see the shoes or my money back. Representative promised a follow up same day by e-mail.
7. I have only received a follow up phone call a day after (Oct 18) inconveniently during my working hours. Where another representative insisted it is not possible to refund the money but they can be taken for repair. This is what I did agree on Oct 7th, however Pedro Miralles did not organize the pickup. I am sure no one from Pedro Miralles would ever come back if I did not call again on Oct 17. I also don't believe if shoes were picked up and "repaired" they would come back to me. And if they would, I have no trust they would not fall apart again. Representative called me twice on Oct 17. With no new information, really not sure what the point was of the other call read more
