This park serves lots of different purposes depending on who you are and what you would like to do.
Some rad things about the park for folks and families: close to the library which is new and cute and has a lil kids section and storytime on Tuesday mornings. There's also a butt-ton (legitimate measuring standard in most countries) of turtles, ducks, geese, heron's and more that I would only be pretending to be able to identify. There are also a fair amount of benches in the shade that are politely calling for weekend picnics to be had. The circumference of the lake is about a mile by my estimation and that makes for a nice stroll.
Some noteworthy things for runners: the trail around the pond is mostly not shaded and I get really hot when I run. Also parking is not super abundant; although I'm sure parking at the library for park goers would be fine. The bridges are really nice and beautiful, but the path is dirt/rocks so running with a stroller (even a running stroller) is a bit difficult.
