The staff here is so rude! I told the receptionist that I was going to speak to the Dr about my experience with them. She noted it in the computer and when I did go for my kid's appointment, they were still rude and made it a point to leave the "notes" up where I could read all the negative stuff they wrote in the comments about me the parent. Thet are BEYOND overpriced! I went for a 2nd opinion for my daughter and was told that she did not require dental surgery, it was not a perm tooth and would fall out within a year, which was 100% correct. Saved me 2500! I think this place is all about making as much money as possible. Its just wrong. In addition, after years of being all 3 of my kids dentist, she still has know idea who they are. No personal relationship by the Dr, they kids are just dollar signs. She spends less than 10 minutes with them. One other thing that really bothered me, the Dr and staff speak Spanish in front of you, as if they don't want you to understand what they are saying. I'm so done with this place. read more

My son has been going there since he was 3yrs old, & he is now 10!! I absolutely love them! Everyone is so nice, friendly, and patient. I have never had a problem with them! The worst dentist in Corpus! They overbook every appointment time so you wait for hours needlessly. They nickle and dime you for everything. Basic services that should be included they charge for. Want a doctors note? Copies of records you own and paid for? Better poney up more $. The worst part is they push for unneeded dental work to rack up the cost at your child's expense. We got a second opinion and were shocked at the difference. Avoid at all costs. read more

Overpriced and rude staff. They charge three times what other dentists charge so might as well go out of network and get better care. Dr. Rojas is always rushed and the facility makes you feel like your child is just another dollar bill. We were told by their " consultant " that if our experience is better somewhere else to go back and that's exactly what we intend to do. Don't judge a book by its cover. This place looked nice, clean and friendly. Our daughter had her very first dental appointment ever with this location and not 1 single staff member introduced themselves. I didn't even know who the dentist was and had to ask her if she was the dentist. She was in such a hurry! Would appeciate more bedside manner. The staff talked amongst themselves, failed to properly engage us and were not welcoming at all. The only kind person was at the front desk. I will never recommend this place to a friend. read more

I would like to start off with I never write reviews & I would give 0 stars if I could.  I am writing this review to warn all parents how horrible this place is & this dentist Edith Rojas. First and foremost this dentist sees too many patients a day for a dentist to patient ratio. She is always rushed bc she is about quantity of patients for money instead of quality. I took my 5 year old daughter to get caps on her 2 front teeth.  Well let's start off with they charged me upfront before even performing any dental work yet. Which is not how it should be.  They don't know if they are going to need to do everything they charged you for upfront or do more than what you were charged for. Well parents let me tell you PLEASE PLEASE read the papers you sign.  I wish I would have taken a picture of the sheet they wanted me to sign.  It stated that if your child was crying or screaming too loud, that the dentist would be allowed to cover your child's mouth & whisper in their ear until they calmed down. What!!!??!!! I was disgusted. I asked the assistant who handed me the papers if they really did that too children & she stated "no". Then I asked why was it in the paperwork to sign then? She rushed & gave some dumb excuse by mumbling.  After they gave my daughter the medicine to make her drowsy, they had us wait 1 1/2 hours before even coming into the room to start. When Edith entered the room it was no hello no how are you... it was get to work & inject my daughter with lidocaine without explaining to her that they were going to start or what she might feel.  After making my daughter scream,cry, & bleed after injecting the lidocaine, she proceeded to exit the room.  I asked her why my daughter bleed after injecting lidocaine & if it was injected correctly bc I have seen multiple surgeons & doctors inject lidocaine in my line of work ( I am a nurse),& I have not seen the patients bleed. Edith just continue to leave the room without answering me. I sat there talking to my daughter trying to calm her down & explain what they did & why.  Mind you that is their job if they want to work with children. I work at a children's hospital & I am a Registered nurse. When you work with children you need to explain every single thing you are going to do to them. This is to gain their trust & make their experience the best in can be given the circumstances. This place lacks those abilities & the compassion to work with children.  At this point yes,  I should have just left, but I was a fool & stayed.  When Edith walked back in she rushed again open my daughters mouth with a clamp & began as if nothing, & again no explanation.  When she pushed the caps on to my daughter's front teeth, my daughter began to scream.  I said why is she screaming she shouldn't feel anything. The assistant said, "she doesn't feel anything,  just the pressure. " Oh boy did I have words for her,  but I refrained as to remain in control for my daughters sake. When this rude Edith Rojas began to shape my daughters teeth it was Ok at first but then she started crying again. I asked her to stop & let me see what my daughter was crying about.  When she finally did, my poor baby screamed mommy they are drowning me! She looked at the dentist & said don't you put that water down my throat again! I asked the assistant if she didn't have the suction on? She said it has been on & they told my daughter you aren't drowning if you stop crying you won't feel like that. At this point how can I stop them & take my daughter out when her teeth are not shaped!?!!!! I try calming my daughter down & Edith says she needs to finish. As my daughter lays down again Edith rushed to begin & after about 3 more minutes says well that's all we can do today she is crying too much so no need to keep going. My daughter jumps up into my arms as she sobs & says take me out of here mommy please.  I was furious!!! I told the dentist Edith so you are going to leave her with 1 tooth longer than the other & she said it wasn't, but oh it was.  I have the pictures to prove it.  I took my daughter & left that horrible place before I said or did something I would have regretted. They don't know how to work with children or guide them with direction on what will be done or sounds they will hear. Parents don't take your children here.  The only thing I can do now is PRAY that GOD will handle this woman in his own way. read more

We will be going elsewhere. The office staff is SO unorganized. I have been told several times that I would receive a call back for various reasons, those calls never came. I have had to call them back myself each time. Totally unacceptable. When I asked to speak to the dentist about my concerns, I was told she would call me either that day or the next...she never did. I paid 100% for a procedure that should have been covered by my insurance, once I realized ON MY OWN----5 Months later-- that I should have a credit for the full amount, I called their office to verify. I was told I was in fact correct, I did pay for the full amount, and according to them, I should have been notified about the credit. I find it very unprofessional that they are unable to keep their records straight. For example, after finding out that I had a credit with them, we decided to schedule a costly procedure for our son, and use the credit towards the balance. I called several times to double and TRIPLE check what would be due for the procedure that day...When we went to check out, I was told I needed to pay nearly $300 MORE than what was actually due. They overbook and charge you for very little thing they can think of, including a school excuse. The day of my sons procedure we arrived a little early, signed in and waited. I had to get up and remind them that he needed his sedation medicine because the girl had forgotten, nearly 40 minutes after his scheduled appointment time. All the while he has been sitting there on an empty stomach since the night before and it is 10:45 in the morning at this point. Not only that, they say the medicine takes another 30-45 minutes to kick in. Why not medicate the children who are on an empty stomach right away to get them in and out? I will say the Dentist herself is nice, I cannot honestly recommend her office though, due to the issues I have had and am continuing to have with them. read more

Just finished my son's first dental visit, and everything was perfect from start to finish. Very professional staff and Dr. Rojas was very kind and informative. Very pleasant experience. Awesome waiting room for kids. Would highly recommend! read more

These guys are great and very friendly. My son says he prefers going to this office because they let them watch TV while having work done. He says they are more gentle than other places. The office staff is also extremely nice and keeps you well informed of your share of costs. read more

For the love of your children, do not go there. They wanted to do UNNECESSARY, dangerous procedures. Concerned about two chips in my ONE year old's teeth, I took her to our other dentist. The other dentist did an exam and recommended possibly filling the chip on a front tooth. After learning our regular dentist was "out of network" for our private dental insurance, we were to referred to Pediatrix because they were "in network".. Pediatrix wanted to do a ROOT CANAL and cap on a molar, then fill 6 "cavities" under general anesthesia at Driscoll Children's Hospital. I was also told that that it was common for the dentist to accidentally break teeth when filling cavities (yes BREAK TEETH!), so I could expect to pay for an additional unknown amount of root canals and caps. For this major surgery, I was also responsible for contacting my health insurance and Driscoll Chrildren's Hospital to set up the SURGERY and GENERAL ANESTHESIA! As far as insurance, they will LIE to you and make you pay for upfront, when your insurance would have paid 100%. And don't expect for them to follow your insurance contracted fee schedule; according to their "policy", they will charge you their prices,ignoring the fact they are contracted with your insurance for a certain amount. Additionally they will fraudulently over bill your insurance, this is why they seem expensive you are WAY over paying and being SCAMMED. Double check and file a complaint with your insurance provider. I was CONNED into paying $85 up front; when the contracted fee was $51 and it should have been billed to my insurance. I'd put money on it, they they would have "accidentally" broken teeth to make more money for root canals and caps on my ONE year old! If no teeth were "accidentally" broken, they would have made almost $1700 on my baby for these bogus procedures and fraudulent billing!! When they would have made just $68 for an exam and fluoride varnish. Do you see the scam there? I do! I took my daughter to yet another "in network" dentist, they just applied fluoride varnish which sealed the chips. The new dentist billed my insurance for the exam and treatment. I told them how Pedatrix wanted to give my one year old root canals and fill 6 "cavities" at Driscoll Children's under general anesthesia.....they were APPALLED!! They said it would be completely UNNECESSARY and that all my daughters teeth were HEALTHY and did not need any work done at all. And it was ridiculous for a one year old to risk going under general anesthesia for greed! I am SO glad I listen to my instincts and ran from Pediatrix Dental!! I even cried in my car at the thought of my daughter under anesthesia and this woman haphazardly drilling away, breaking teeth!! And most of all, listen to the reviews!! Do NOT go there unless you like to give your money away to these scammers and put your child through unnecessary pain. read more

I don't typically leave reviews, but I want to warn other parents so it doesn't happen to them. I came to this dentist for my young child based on a recommendation. Without taking an X-ray I was told my child needed a tooth extraction on a baby tooth which was GOING TO COST A LOT OF MONEY. I got a second and third opinion and both said we didn't need the surgery. Seems like this practice is quick to jump to costly surgeries. What got me was the fact that we were going to do surgery without taking X-rays. So sad to put kids under anaesthesia when they may not even need it which is a RISK that can be scary for some children with certain conditions. You are WARNED! GET A SECOND OPINION! read more
