Okay, fine. I needed a sick appointment for my son and despite him being ill, I waited 3 hours for her to call the insurance agency and get back to me. I know something about insurance and billing being in the healthcare industry. I had a feeling my husband's insurance agency was going to provide misinformation because insurance companies don't want to pay when they hear a secondary insurance is involved. Despite her knowing for a fact that the primary for the child is whichever spouse birthday is first (my husband) she didn't go on her own knowledge and even stated that she knew the information that was provided to her was wrong, she denied giving my son the sick appointment. I've never experienced such backwards thinking at a doctor's office. I never had issues or bills from my son going to the doctor- pediatrician or urgent care. We just moved from NYC so this level of ...weirdness is baffling to me. I know that this woman made me wait 3 hours to tell me she can't give my sick son an appointment because of misinformation she knows is wrong. Ridiculous and highly disappointed.

He gives me the impression of someone that was forced into the profession or he just doesn't like my kids! Not sure, he doesn't have a warm vibe, however he agreed to not give my children all the vaccines on one day. It's more visits, but that works for me as not many places accommodate parents with such requests. From my experience his medical assistant are new each time I have been in the office. As far as the esthetic of the office, the waiting area could use some remodeling or at the very least some new chairs. I'm suggesting plastic or leather like chairs easier to sanitize because the current chairs are screaming bedbugs so I never sit in the waiting area.

A few things that made us love her so much (our friends wow-ed when we talked about her): 1. When our daughter got born, Dr. Elin came in Saturday after midnight to see her (there were no complications, she got a score of 9 at birth, where the max is 10) 2. When my daughter had a week, she came to our house (which as i heard it's not done any more. I even read about her in the local news paper regarding this "being one of the last doctors that does home visits") 3. As first time parents we were scared like hell at a 102 fever, she wanted to see us on Saturday night, OMG i can't thank her enough for giving me the chance/peace of mind to sleep those nights. 4. If i left her a message she got back to us within max 30 minutes, either with a call or a message, based on the gravity of the situation. 5. Waiting time at the office was good. 6. She took the time to explain us the benefits of each vaccine and everything that came with it. 7. Her exams were always thorough. 8. Even after we moved from her, we keep in touch. 9. When we requested our daughters medical records they arrived within two days from the time of the request. I definitely recommend Dr. Elin, she is a wonderful caring person!
